I just can't get into the hype train after what DICE Stockholm did with BF3 and BF4, at least i want to enjoy the graphics cause i'm sure the game will have a lot of bullshit in it.

Can't remember if it was announced but, it will include a single player campaign right?

Aside from the missing AT-AT, the background is different. The picture is titled "Pre-reveal hero." That probably doesn't mean much though.

The sign up link within each email was unique. I have a feeling they were "exclusive" for a reason.

i think this means theres different variants of the core art with different planets. similarly to what was done with the old battlefront games. im sure concept artists went nuts with variants, i wouldn't be surprised if the loading menus between matchmaking were concept arts of battles or locals.
 
I'm cautiously optimistic, I mean it certainly looks good but I refuse to get hyped for this. Carefully crafted PR and Marketing material be damned. After the disastrous BF4 launch fiasco I have no faith in DICE to actually deliver a complete, functional and stable game on release day. I hope they've actually learned from their failures with BF4 but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Battlefront is riddled with countless game breaking bugs, glitches and crashes on launch and suffers from widespread server issues and horrible lag and massive netcode problems.

I'd love to be wrong, but DICE lost a lot of goodwill, respect and credability when they rushed BF4 out the door and sold such a fundamentally flawed product (knowingly or unknowingly) to consumers. It was completely unnacceptable and the whole situation severely damaged their reputation.

I really hope they add new maps from that era. A Coruscant slums map would look amazing.

Which is why I'm going to be cautious about buying it. DICE is my favorite MP developer but after paying $110 for BF4 on day 1, I got burnt pretty hard even though the game eventually became great.
 
Never played Battlefront though... and I always thought the game was in 1st person. I'm glad by what Ive just seen of the old Battlefront 2 footage, game looks fun as fuck! =D

most pc players played in 1st and 3rd person, but a lot favored 1st person. most console players played in 3rd person, a few favored 1st, a lot werent aware you could even play in 1st person though.

Damn, the game looks very fun to play!! Now I'm actually not even bothering with IQ, as long they release a game that plays as good as it sounds. Am hyped now!!

Would like to be on that Hype Star!! =D

Storm Trooper statue and artbook would get a purchase for me. Hoping for good things, but when was the last time EA did a CE like that?
 
I don't even care what comes out after this, it's all I'll be playing. Pretty sure I'm gonna have to buy my nephew a PS4 too. He's 10 and he's at the age where he'd go nuts at Battlefront.


Put me on the Hype Star.

They have the potential to do a very good CE and I suggest they take advantage of it. Pack in a good statue and an artbook. Sell it for $120.

Story of my life although I do tend to prefer TP perspective for games. Really hoping the switch makes a come back and TP isn't left for dead.
