...now what?

SL 10 Run.

grats. I am thinking of making this my first plat as well..

The chalices are a pretty big commitment. Felt like I spent just as long in the dungeons as I did in the main campaign, haha. Really tough bosses, too.

Watchdog of the Old Lords is some bullshit.

In the
Defiled Chalice
? Toughest boss in the game for me. A few afterward are no joke either.

NG with a different build :)

Farm chalice dungeons for some dank gems.

build a pvp character. try and build a god character. lvl up some other weapons and trying them out in NG+ or NG++.

SL 10 Run.

I've been checking out some spreadsheets with chalice glyphs. Will probably try a few of those out for some weapons and blood rocks.

I need to try farming some blood stones, though. Wish they became available in the store.

How long does From usually take to start dropping some DLC?

whew what a run, beat a boss while exploring lots of stuff ,
that girl who turned into a wolf monster beast, lost the first time but then killed her, now i need to find this password

What was your final SL for Chalice Dungeon completion? DLC could be a long wait.

Can I get that tip?

Kill her spiders, then her. Be patient and kill the spiders, then kill ROM. You will learn to dodge ROMs attacks and then its an easy fight, but patience is key. I must have died 20 times before I started to try to kill the spiders first. then it was lol

Man,
Ebrietas
is super tough. I've got 1100 hp, 400 arcane defense and an electric sword at +10 and I still died lol

I think I can do it, but I wasn't expecting the frenzy attack and got bopped pretty free.

Anyway, I think it's the last boss I have available since I just got to another boss that seems pretty end-gamey. Actually, now that I think about it,
there was a big ball of trash in chains I dumped into a pit, was that an optional boss? I kinda forgot that I did that.

I think it's the last thing that I haven't done yet, once I beat the game I'll start looking up to see what secrets I missed. I only found two covenants the whole game.

Go back and find the stuff you dropped into a pit.

There are
three covenants afaik.

This was a tough boss, but I had the wrong idea at first. I was using a DaS style attack of just circling around to her rear. That didn't come out right.

Anyway, I was winning after I kept her in from the whole time and just dodged the attacks, using some fire paper when I had her stunned.

As far as DLC goes:

Dark Souls II released on March 11th
DLC 1 released on July 22nd
DLC 2 released on August 26th
DLC 3 released on September 30th

Bloodborne released on March 24th

So yeah, might be a bit of a wait.

Most guides recommend only attacking the initial horde. But the next couple batches you supposed to ignore them and attack Rom

I summoned my bro to help me with Rom though. Couldn't solo him. I was a lowbie bloodtinge build back then with no acce3ss to the good endgame weapons for that build that comes from that
Castle

So not trying to override this person's advice!

I always found it easy to juke his missiles making wiping out the spiders in later phases appealing because it ensured victory. In my most recent run I was more impatient so I just rushed him down after the first batch of spiders but I didn't think it was a safer or better strategy, just a faster one.

ok no I did see that woman ...I thought there was someone else you guys were taking about that came later, or the that woman comes back later......

This game is so crazy. After R
OM's death I was left in the bottom of the lake with nowhere to go. In the distance, I could make out something there. When I approached, it was the woman in the white dress, and it was bloodstained, as if she had just given birth. From the sequence, it appeared that she was giving birth to the blood moon or something crazy. This was when I could first hear the babies cries, so I knew they were related. Yes, she show up later as well, but did not interact with me.

Finally fucking beat
Ebrietas
took me like 10 tries and during my last bout with it my wife sat down and was cheering me on lol

Feels damn good to beat that one, now on to the next!

you have the password after beating that boss and watching the video.

oh lol , didn't even notice

but fdsajkfdshfdshfsd shitttttttt just encountered another boss , got destroyed in about 5 seconds ,
that electric beast thing, fuck he just swings and swings and swings , RIP

Well, that was meh. Finally, after farming and upgrading the Lost Chikage to +10, I found out my best gems are the same ones that fit in the normal Chikage +10, and thus, both have the same damage. Guess, need to farm root chalice for better gems. Just great, more time in the shitty chalices.

I had Ludwig's Sword at a +8 and I didn't even bother with Arcane defense, just went with physical since you can just dodge the
laser beams
. The main thing is you got to be patient, the fight took me 7 minutes since I just waited for openings and wasn't greedy. When it is about to do the "arcane" attack just dodge dodge dodge until its done.

I am surprised she did not attack you with the lazers from above like a comet or whatever.

MAybe Im glitched.???? edit: I watched 5-10 videos and all the winning boss fights have no lasers...I dont even know what they look like...but it apears the go in her ass strat is very common. Im hoping its the YOLO proctology approach that is doing it and stunign her so she cant do lasers...not that all the vids I watched have a 12 hour glitch version or something.

Killed one of the three hunters in Unseen Village. I think I'm done for the night. Those guys are a pain. He's not going to respawn, right?

use the +200 frenzy rune you can find in Forbidden Woods. Lower insight (high insight reduces frenzy resist)

Have sedatives available. Dont kill them just run by them and use a sedative once you are out of their line of sight. With the rune on the time you have is pretty decent before you get killed.

Wow. I thought I had seen everything in FW. Time to go back and search for it.
Thanks for the tips!

Wow at that video. He didn't even touch the spiders. lol.

:(

Hey...dotn think I didnt try that method first..it just became frustrating after the 2nd or 3rd try and I still lost! The yolo method is by far the better one IMO. You just have to get lucky as I did and got the perfect spider layout.

Fuck the new area in the Unseen village is so hard

Yeah this area is a bish on purpose though....just run through and open all the shrotcuts...only kill bell maidens.....then go back and find hidden passageway
to where you get in the cage
. Same idea as
ROM
...I tried killing things patiently and it diditn work. YOLO!

Do I have to run past the lasers!?

Do I have to run past the lasers!?

Yeah just bait the first laser and it will kill some mobs...run through while he is re-charging...
lamp
is right at the bottom.. Of course they put the way to get isnside the
cage
somewhere close to the laser guy....FROM software [roll eyes].

Has anyone else been watching Rurikhan's blind playthrough? Pooor guy has been playing most of the game with the memory leak issue. Last ep he just rolled through A
mygdala
and R
om
. I guess he doesn't read any comments until he's done, so it's likely to be this way until the end unless FromSoft patches it soon.

Just look at these fights:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUtfZm8sNP8&t=2m10s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUtfZm8sNP8&t=26m10s

I will watch later, but am surprised he hasn't powered through weeks ago. I guess he started late.

Shit I ran past it and found the lamp! Dam this game man this game

Hey, just for reference you guys I figured out that you can quick roll out of any knockdown attack after it hits, instead of waiting for the get up animation just hit circle to cancel out and roll or dodge away.

I figured it out but I didn't see anyone else talking about it, a good example is when
Ebrietas
flattens you with some of her slam attacks or the charge attacks.

Also, I'm steamrolling the bosses in NG+ but man
Bandage guy NPC
is a real bitch. So far I've beaten most of the bosses in one fight, except for
Martyr Logarius who I almost had but in NG+ he can send multiple quick detonating blood skull ghost things at once REALLY QUICKLY. Like waaay faster than on Game one.

Also, I was fighting FG and he had some new attacks that he didn't use before, and a couple phases where he would quick switch between 2H mode and gun mode.

Also CB surprised me with a couple new punching attacks and a double handed leap on NG+.

I'd say for me, the hardest boss in the entire game is
Ebrietas
.

I would play NG+, except those bell maidens at the end give me nightmares. And also because I am moving to to another country on Monday.

Wonderful game though. Don't understand the plot, but I love how mysterious everything is. Part of the charm.

Need help with Defiled Chalice. I'm Level 112. Password is jt9hprg5

Took the gaf password off since it's a chalice dungeon, so just the above should work, ringing now.

Good to know. I'm even kind of cheesing them by
trying to lure one outside without the others following
and it's still a pain.

i wouldn't consider that cheesing at all. I'm not sure it is possible to fight all three hunters at once and be successful (I'm sure someone has done it). It would be impossible for me though

weird thing happened to me at that area of the game though. when I first got to that area, there were 3 hunters... I died relatively quickly. Then, I went with the lure them 1 at a time strategy, starting with the hunter that just stands in the middle. I killed him, then went for the one who stands in the back left corner (can't remember which weapon he carried). after I killed him, the third hunter was no where to be found... not sure if I somehow glitched the game or what, but he never showed up again.
