Elden Ring Nightreign |OT| Praise the Rain

Update has not fixed remembrance. Still bugged and can't queue into matches if you're doing one.

Totally retarded they didn't fix this by now.

To anyone that doesn't know when you open the Map and Press Y it shows icons on the map displaying where the Merchants are and what type of weapon drops from each Temple or Point of Interest. Very helpful when looking to get gear to exploit weaknesses of bosses.

speaking of tips, you can toggle underground map layouts in the mines. kinda known if you've played elden ring, but the last run i did last night some dude got lost in the caves and died to the circle lol

Haven't had a ton of time to dedicate this, but beat the initial 3 wolf boss after about 8-9 attempts. Did so with the Duchess, oddly, since it was my first time trying her out. Her dodging ability + a nice bow seem pretty easy mode; helps that I had good teammates.

My friends and I have beaten Tricephalos and Gaping Jaw.

Stuck on Gnoster/Sentient Pest atm. Any tips?

We play Wylder, Guardian, and Ironeye.

Ironed focuses on moth. Wylder and Guardian focus on scorpion and we try to get fire weapons for the fight. Usually around Level 10 with 6-7 flasks.

We get the boss to ~25% health consistently. But then we're out of heals, and the charging barrage attack gets us (other moves, too, but that's a big one).

definitely try to take out some more field bosses and stuff on day 2. level 10 is pretty low.

Im at the point where im gonna drop the game and wait for a potential performance fix ,because the constant stuttering is killing my enjoyement now. Every bossfight is a stutterfest

i keep hearing about stuttering.. is this solely an Nvidia thing. i do not see it on my 7900 xt nor my ps5. ( yeah I bought it twice!)

5000 series issue. Its awful, i never seen anything this bad. Some guy said the game was running perfectly on his steamdeck, but a stutterfest on his 5090 pc lol

Fromsoft needs to stop fucking around, and hire people that understand computers and tech. They're so damn clueless with tech. With the kind of visuals their games have, their games should be running at over 200fps on an rtx5070.

Performance is also bad on PS5, almost like ER at release. There are like 20+ fps drops quite often.

At some point, From has to stop that BS.

Had a really good run just now, no deaths for me.
Even had the wylder drop the incantations amulet for me, and he bought some fp shards for me at the final boss

In the end I just pelted gladius with lightning bolts and he died super fast, I think he only got to split once

Remember to buy your revenant fp shards, it can make a big difference

Don't do the bosses in listed order.

I can tell you that the last boss, the frost dragon, is much easier. So is the madness beast IMO.

The sad truth with the moth boss is minimum of two iron eyes make it go fast with flame bows. Melee characters just don't contribute to that fight except for one to kite scorpion.

The content is coming including duo support 👌

Wow nice. Looks like the game will get long term support because of the sales. Now please from fix the awful performance on latest gpus :(

Excited for duos aswell and hopefully they will improve the replayability too. This game has so much potential with tweaks and additional content and it looks like its coming

Am I understanding it correctly that non-equiped swords, bows and shields still contribute their passive, unless there is a hand icon? So I should scoop up as much shit as possible?
Btw, just noticed it also works even though you're two handing the other weapon in your hand. So the hand passive effect might still be useful even if you're not using the weapon.

I really wish they would add 2 more maps. It's really fun but Imagine if there was a Caelid map mixed with altus stuff or an underground siofra style map...

ok, maybe I'm just bad, but why is this so much harder than ER was, I've not even beat the first Day 3 boss, I've gotten to it twice

I did Unlock Duchess though, thats Lady Maria from Bloodborne for sure, even the Moveset is,

Would I get anything out of this if I haven't played much of the original Elden Ring? I played it when it came out, but actually kinda fell off. Was thinking about giving it another try when it comes out on Switch 2. In the meantime, the $40 price tag is kinda appealing.

I saw that Reddit post about bolusses giving permanent buffs (for the run) but haven't seen anyone verify it yet. Really hope it's true.

Thanks. I guess why not do the bosses in listed order? To get relics on the other bosses that could help with Pest?

Others are easier. For example the mechanics on ice dragon and how he attacks allows melee to be useful. But moth? Melee is basically useless. When we beat him I had 3 iron eyes lol. Goes super fast.

Part of the goofy part of the design is they want players to play all the classes or a bevy but for those who want to stick with just one specifically it isn't conducive to being effective. Moth and the Augur or whatever the flying cloud are just aren't meant to be melee centric fights. Iron eye can work for all fights, but a wylder isn't.

That said the more fights you complete then you get new relics and chalices. These could tweak you enough to have a better build. Having a start with a fire weapon relic for moth is great to kill Him faster. The lightning on weapon relic is essential IMO for the centaur. More bosses down also give you various map variants like scarlet rot forest, lava area, frost mountain, etc.

Some runs also can have world event boss like the invisible moth shooting level down meteor plague around the map for a while. If you find the moth you will get a buff where random mobs defeated give you 10-20k runes for killing them. You can hit level 15 easily if you get that.

Doing stuff like this never gets old, love this game

So the goat of madness boss...not a fan lol. Saw the City cataclysm for the first time yesterday, wish there was more time to actually explore these areas, seems like midway through the rain is already upon you.

I wish randoms would stop running from church to church...
Flasks are useless if you end day one lvl 5 because you didn't stop to kill any bosses.

Literally just beat it as Duchess (me), Wylder, and Ironeye.

Got really lucky and got Rykards Rancor on a staff in a Rise, which seemed to do really well (massive hitbox vs tracking exploding fire projectile).

I'm actually unsure if the Ironeye was even using a fire bow but the would've probably made things even easier.

We were 14, 14 and 15 though, so I'm sure you guys can be a little more efficient and reach higher than 10. Then should be no problem!

Aside from the obvious of getting strong fire weapons, having warmth stones and those FP shards for extra longevity really helps.

Proper planning is getting the farthest outside church and fighting either along the way to it to end on it as circle is coming in or fighting on the way back/to another church.

The real issue is people DO NOT use the flying bird stations because they don't understand where they will take them. The map shows the route it will take via a wind icon. Once you realize these get you places in a fraction of time you can get to level 13+ and finish anything on map you want to do.

Post above wanted to do the secret city place. On day two just bird your way over, and know where to go to drop into sewer, get the blue wind boost back up, then go tackle the main boss there. There's other ways to reach him but I believe that is the fastest. Just ignore monsters along the way. Once boss is done kill enemies on your way out of there to maximize time invested.

Theres a rhythm. Get flasks from churches before anything and only fight great enemies on day 2.

yes def try to get at least two flasks from the edges before the ring starts closing on day one, you can kill a lot of shit before the ring even settles, then you keep raiding areas; on day two try to get the remaining flask(s) and kill as many bosses as you can.

General tips are:

The "ideal" team for most bosses is Duchess, Ironeye and any melee character. This team isn't essential, but makes things easier.

Focus on xp farming so you get to the day 3 fight at least at level 12.

Aim to kill bosses fast and ignore most of the other enemies. Use your special abilities. Their cooldown is short.

Make a path and follow it directly and avoid wasting time going back.

Get the extra flasks through your path, don't focus on them, try to get them naturally. Having 6 flasks is usually enough for most bosses.

On day 2, after getting on level 8 or 9, head to the castle at the center and kill the knights or giants, they grant a ton of xp. Your team will probably get to level 11 or 12 doing that.

After that, kill a special boss for better loot.

Doing that your team will be at least on level 13 on day 3.

Also, try to get some talismans in your path, don't forget the giant in the cave (which is always great to kill, since it gives a good amount of xp, is easy to kill and also drops an weapon upgrade), focus on getting weapons with the correct status for the boss and avoid fighting annoying enemies.

After watching a solo recluse run video I see sorceries are not the way to go.
None of the final bosses is weak to magic, the only sorceries that can be used for 2 of the final bosses are the fire ones but those have crap range. Incantations cover all the bosses weaknesses and some fire Incantations have good range.

I wonder if thats a direct change from the OP mage builds from ER

Ancient Death Rancor does ridiculous damage. Some sorceries seem to have been nerfed yeah, but a lot still do very high damage or are very useful.

Same goes for incantations. I just had a run as a dragon school skinned Revenant (with 2 other Revenants btw, was fun going triple Revenant) and was doing only dragon incantations. They are ridiculously strong if you can keep your mana back. But I feel like black flame incantations aren't great anymore either, which are very strong in Elden Ring. I guess things are just a little different here, so try to experiment and try different sorceries and incantations.

This is especially useful for items that restore HP/FP on attack, but aren't useful to attack with!
