Ugh..... I want to see his mask in full ;_;

Damn you Superman Symbo!!!!!!

I... really am a weird person.

I don't really get dark or depressing or even gritty from this trailer.

I get... a bit of cynicism. I think partially because it does "justice" to how news is handled in our country. With just sound bites and extreme views
It's a trope that's thrown around too easily around here, especially in the midst of yearly Marvel movies. The way Marvel shoots their films is the only way apparently.

Anyone else find it kinda weird and a bit sloppy that they're going from Man of Steel straight into... Batman vs Superman? Like, I dunno. I didn't see MoS, but as far as I'm concerned, Batman did not make any appearances in that movie. Why are we supposed to care that they're fighting? It just seems weird to me, perhaps it's just a problem with the name of the movie and the actual plot will make more sense of it (Perhaps Batman will be take the role of a tired old hero trying to dismantle this "new hero" whose causing more disorder than good? I dunno), but I dunno.

I feel like Warner Bros and DC are rushing things with this expanded universe.

you know, sequels to movies can introduce important characters on their own...

So random query, is there anyone in the NYC area who wants to go to this IMAX thingie, but has no ticket?

Think have an extra... extra

I feel like it makes more sense this way than what Marvel is doing. How is it that their are other Superheroes in your Universe and they don't take notice when a city is leveled or like theirs grave danger? Do they simply disappear when solo movies are made? Makes no sense. The fact that Metropolis was leveled by alien is more than enough reason for Batman to show in Metropolis. I also like the fact that Wonder Woman and Aquaman will make cameos too. It's really difficult to believe that their was a foreign alien race that attacked the world and none of the other superheroes in the universe investigate what the fuck happened and who the hell is Superman.
It makes more sense just because, well, I dunno. Look at it this way: Fan of Iron Man? Go see an Iron Man movie! Like Captain America? There's another one coming out soon! I feel like by lumping all these heroes into one movie is just gonna wind up feeling constantly rushed and half-assed. Maybe I'm wrong, I dunno. We'll see.

It's an old discussion.

But the focus does seem to be on Superman, Batman and Lex.

And to me, thematically that makes sense after the end of Man of Steel. If you have a "god" come to Earth, it makes sense to get reactions from DC's two most human characters (extraordinary humans but humans) and build on the themes and set-up from that film.

I also still feel like this will be a Superman movie. Let's say 65% Superman, 25% Batman and 10% Wonder Woman.

Exactly he's got the perfect disguise.

Nah, at this point I see Batman vs Superman as more of a marketing title. Already tons of people are either asking why they are fighting each other or how Batman could beat superman. I don't expect more than half the movie to be about the conflict if that. They have to squeeze Lex, WW and maybe a few more characters in.

Superman and Batman are the only ones who will be featured prominently. Wonder Woman is secondary character and will get her own movie before JLA. Everyone else is a cameo, and it's probably not a stretch to guess JLA1 will focus primarily on the Trinity. It's not as messy as you're thinking it is. Just requires some good writing.

Just saw on twitter that bleacher report and some nba player are unveiling the new batmobile tomorrow. weird that bleacher report got that lol

Did X-Men feel rushed and half-assed? The MCU is incoherent because of the way they choose to arbitrarily bring their superheroes together.

I still find this incredibly hard to understand how batman has a chance to take on superman. I mean they will really have to water down superman's power to make this a fair fight. Otherwise I don't see how Batman would stand a chance against someone's who's sneeze can destroy a galaxy.

Superman will hold back and the fight will likely be inconclusive. Also, he isn't that strong. lol

He isn't that strong (not counting weird-ass Silver Age deus ex machina bullshit)

Considering that the question comes up on almost every page, did anyone make that Batman vs Superman fight thread that was mentioned a few pages ago?

Yo, no joke, lol the OT for this needs a source post both downplaying the title conflict and explaining how their fights in the past have gone down.

1.) Superman will hold back and doesn't want to kill, especially after MOS.
2.) Batman and prep-time. He will have allies. He will have armor, weapons, and gadgets. He will have a plan.
3.) No one ever really "wins" in these fights. They will trash each other around for a bit before coming to their senses.

As for your last point that was Silver Age Supes, who was absurdly OP. He's been much more toned down since in modern comics, and MOS Clark is even more grounded, though he still runs circles around any other comic book movie superhero.

"whose sneeze can destroy a galaxy"

pack it up, future movies and villains.

it;s a good thing these movies don't cater to the ridiculous bullshit in the comics.

yeah, instead of thinking about how to make a good movie for everyone to see, let's instead fit the ridiculousness of the comics into a movie and make it work. hurrrrr durrr.

maybe, instead of questioning the logic of the movie, question instead the logic of the comics and recognize how powerfully stupid it is to make an enjoyable, cohesive movie about a guy whose sneeze wipes out galaxies.

Suicide Squad.

Leto doesn't give a fuck about WB ninjas it seems.

if the Leto's Joker was the one who broke Batman and made him go "cruel"
if he killed Robin/commissioner Gordon ect
then WB is insane to not having a Batman solo movie after BvS and Suicide Squad.

I'm almost positive it will happen within the next 3 years. Free money tends to be something businesses like.

He's referring to MoS incarnation not Silver Age

MoS Supes was able to fly in a Kryptonian like atmosphere under the World Engine (which should render him as weak as a normal human) that is still a deus ex machina stuff.

I hope so but on the other hand they already have their movie slate till 2020 unless they drop something from it :(
