People, it's time for some predictions(maybe war? please not).

Which company will win E3 and why?

I think Bethesda will win, because they will show Fallout 4 and Doom, and Sony won't show TLG.

I think Nintendo will win, because they bought the Silent Hill IP and Sony will show Powers season 2

It's some rumor from "The Know", which is a new channel by former Machinima guys. The rumor claims that MS is going to buy the Silent Hill IP. But this is the good part

- Silent Hills was 80% complete
- Konami removed P.T. from PSN because of the buyout
- This is the best part...the deal is in the billions. Yes that's meant to be a B.

Billions lol, maybe a few billion yen lol.

Emmm this happens every year.
Every year Microsoft is supposed to announce they have bought whatever support they like because of their Windows/Office war chest :P

The precedent set by ROTTR and Phil promising to 'make amends' after SFV set it all into motion.

Why are people actually believing this rumor? There's no way Silent Hills would have even been ready by Spring 2016 considering it was barely in any form of production.

What precedent set by ROTTR? These types of deals have been going on for years. And Sony's deal for SFV may have been done before MS's for ROTTR just because we heard about it after doesn't mean it was like some retaliation for ROTTR.

I'm probably high and drunk, but for some stupid reason, I'm kinda hopeful that we'll hear something about Team Bondi's Whore of the Orient at E3 this year.

I can feel it in my gut! BELIEVE!

that would be great ! The whole concept and setting of this game sounds so refreshing and exciting.
Shanghai 1930? dammn

The intro to Nintendo's presentation at E3 2012 is great. It's the one that starts in Miyamoto's dressing room, with Pikmin flitting in and out of sight as he gets ready to take the stage. Does anyone else have fond memories of this?

I wasn't posting at the time, but I remember the anticipation and excitement being especially high around these parts that year. Maybe this is partly why I recall finding the intro kind of affecting. I mean, it was a long awaited event and it was finally manifesting itself on our screens, replete with Nintendo's typical charm. There was also something about the sight of that stray Pikmin hiding inside the breast pocket of the blazer, and Miyamoto casually sauntering out of the room. As he exits, this low-key beat begins to play; it sounds vaguely plaintive. Somehow, that precise combination of sound and image brought to mind, at once, the elation of seeing this legendary artist in action (live!), but also the transience of that luxury. It was like I was celebrating Miyamoto and mourning his eventual retirement all at once.

I know some of you might think this a peculiar way to describe a presentation meant to sell video games, but there's no other moment in the history of E3 that evoked similar feelings. I think back to that intro every now and then precisely because, inadvertently or otherwise, it felt so peculiar. I was probably projecting a bit of my own concerns and feelings onto the intro, but I also think there's also something there that feels concurrently jubilant and wistful.

It would be a good "Fuck you to Sony"

I hope this rumor is true, so I can read all the Gaf post.

Why would anyone support this. I'm all for funding a game if the game wouldn't have existed otherwise, but holding a franchise hostage (that would have been made anyway) in the name of bartering? Nah.

I'm talking about them buying the IP, not moneyhatting.

How so? I look at it as he's more or less talking to the Xbox owners who lost out on a bug gane that most people didn't think would go exclusive.

Why should amends be necessary when Microsoft struck first(at least announced first) with Tomb Raider? Or is PlayStation not allowed to make 3rd party deals too?

IGN have ran a story on that Silent Hill rumour now, expect more
locked
threads I guess.

Just a reminder: At last year's E3, IGN wrote a story confirming (not even rumoring) that Sony had canceled The Last Guardian. And boy did they double down on that story. No other major outlet reported on that "confirmation".

Making "amends" with first party games he meant, I believe the question is needed to see the context of the tweet.

Btw that MS "struck first" is bullshit, are you implying that if MS had not made a deal for ROTTR then SFV will be multiplatform., if so think again.
