Why is the Ink Resistance Up ability the best in the game? For those who said it was.

My eye is on Ninja Squid and Stealth Super Jump. Is Ink Resistance a unique ability like those two, or a general one that can be sub-slotted?
It's a unique ability, yeah. Shoes-only.

When walking in enemy ink w/o this ability you move at 12.5% speed and take 50% damage over three seconds.

With the ability you move at 80% speed and take 25% damage over six seconds. This is a 1/4 reduction in damage and over a 6x increase in movement speed when in enemy ink.

It makes running on enemy turf a completely viable option. During firefights you are often quickly surrounded by enemy ink so it's pretty nice to be able to just run over enemy ink. No trying to figure out where it's safe to run. No trying to ink some turf quick to make an escape. You just run a bit and go BLAMMO!

In other words, I think it's the best because it has a drastic and useful effect while only taking up one slot and being on a shoe so you can still have Recon or Ninja Squid on your shirt.

At work. When I return at around 4AM, new weapon and new map!

Playing slow as hell, combined with not been able to play online during the first day. So...at Level 6 right now. And enjoying every moment.

Gonna give the dynamo roller a try now.

I dig the farther range of the flick, but not too sure how I feel about the overall slowness of it yet. I really, really liked the relative speed of the lighter rollers, made ambushing from above/in walls too satisfying and I think the dynamo kinda gives that up unless you really time it. The special and sub for both isn't terrible though (on both normal and gold), I'd actually like those more than the kraken if it wasn't for the sacrificed speed.

Level 10! Doing my bit for the unlock! Man, this game has me right in its vices! I haven't had a case of "one more match" syndrome since Modern Warfare. I think I need help!

80%?! that's actually insane, lord

Damn, maybe I should start using it too. I assume you can't get it as a sub-perk?

By the way, is there a place where you can look at the stats of some of these things. For example, it seems like the sub-perks are only a limited amount of the perks and I really like to know what sub-perks you can have. I also like to know if the defense on the dolls behind the skatepark equals one defence as main perk or as subperk. And if you can even get more than 3 defence, since there is only a doll with +3 defence.

Maps change at 3, 7, and 11 pst
Pretty easy to remember

Theres an time were America, Japan and Europe wiuld be all happy to get the update (worldwide nintendo directs usually use that time), but nooooo, lets do the stupid thing here.
What time is that? If you're referring to the ones at like 9am PST that doesn't work for a lot of Americans as they're at work or school then. Nintendo directs are videos that can be watched away from home unlike Splatoon.

I'm sure they looked at what time would be best for the majority of people and unfortunately for you that's evening in America

Rushing the center while using Opening Gambit ... so good. If I can then manage to get the first splat, my team usually can hold the center the entire rest of the round.

4 hours and some change guys

edit: Ink resistance up means you move kinda normally through enemy ink? Given the amount of matches I've lost right at the end because stupid lag spike causing paint to not appear (seriously who designed this netcode, it is like the item boxes taking forever to give you an item in Mario Kart) leaves me stuck in a pool of enemy ink...

So I think I found out why Spyke wanted 30,000 for a 3 star headgear. It had one ability unlocked. So I paid 15,000 more to save having to earn 3000...

Also I feel a need to clarify my Tenacity findings. I notice tenacity icon flashing (in the top-right of the screen, I missed it for days too) whenever any of my team mates are KOd. That suggests it is active when anyone is KOd while the text suggests it is disconnects only.
That's actually worse, isn't it? D/C'd players will just sit at spawn and never die, and never trigger the ability...
They are on the minimap though as an X right at the spawn point.

anyone else hate the bubbler? I will be getting turf and then a guy comes start shooting at him then he bubbles and just plows over me while shooting

get so fuckin mad lol
The lag on invinicibility specials is annoying as I unleash a whole round, get splatted oh and none my shots don't count as they conveniently had the bubbler the whole time (unknown to me, if I'd known I'd have retreated). On the other hand dying as the Kraken or whilst in a bubble would be lame.

As for "oh you can tell by their head" that is pretty useless if they gain it during the confrontation.

Call Nintendo support, they are pretty awesome.

Okay so there's a post on my IPS's (Sonera) forum that they've given some sort of modified Thomson TG789vn boxes and they are known to have issues with 3DS/WiiU. This is the first time I'm having problems though, huh. I guess I'm fucked then, well that's funny I guess. Gotta see if I have any extra routers on hanging around.

Alright, time I give the roller another shot after my first/last time during that one testfire match before the servers went down. It'll be like my first time playing Spy in TF2!

Don't worry I'll stay clear of GAF lobbies :P Don't want to be a liability.

Quick question tho, does the running speed increase perk increase your speed with the roller? Thanks!

that's what I mean with the bubbler, I will start attacking and as soon as I hit him he turns the bubbler on and then just charges at me while shooting... nothing to do, even if you run away you can get killed half the time because you cant fire back

Nope. Main ability on Blue Moto Boots (***, Rockenberg), Red Hi-Tops (**, Krak-On), and Neon Sea Slugs (*, Tentatek).

So how does this work, exactly. I've seen talk (and a spreadsheet) that implies equipment come with pre-defined perks. Are they not being randomly rolled as you unlock them?

And if they are pre-defined, what does the re-roll when you exchange a snail do? Does it randomize your sub-perks? Your primary perk as well? Does it leave your primary, and just turn your sub-perks into ? and you have to unlock them, and are they random THEN?

Does it affect squid form though? If it doesn't it's not super amazing or anything.
