Dark Souls III leaked info and screenshots [RUMOR - Better Details Write-Up]

Lots of dragons in the sky here. Guess it is a sequel to Souls 2.

I wonder if this + the dark thingy in the sun pic references the world slowly coming to the state it was before the age of fire.

I see the similarities but I don't see how it fits Bloodborne. How do you suppose that these areas are basically Central Yarnham but different? Time Travel?

My suggestion was early prototype work, using the souls characters as placeholders. They later either dropped some areas or tweaked the level architecture so they look a little different now.

From Software listened to everyone who wanted to go beast mode, so they gave it to the bosses instead. C:

Really though, I wholly expected at some point to be able to transform into a werewolf in that game. To learn that the beastmode mechanic was just a slight damage modifier that might as well not even exist in the game, I was slightly disappointed.

What if this is Bloodborne's DLC?? I mean some of the architecture sure does seem similar. (That praying statue is right out of BB)

Sony leaking leaks it seems. The rumor was that they were gonna announce this at their conference, no? BloodBorne: Demon's Souls would be a nice throw back title for fans.

NAILED IT.

That would explain the DS HUD and bloodborne HUD elements. The environmental elements etc. No one said dlc has to be an extension of the original game. No one said the tidbit of info was real, its just speculation from wearing ds3 thinking caps. Its BB DLmothafukinC

This isn't Central Yharnam.

Yep, second screen looks a lot more like Demon's Souls than any other game, tbh.

Like something out of 4-1 or 4-2 would be plausible. It's a bit more colorful, though.

Either way, it looks fantastic. My only concern is the consistency of the framerate and camera. I have faith this will stay true to the Souls formula in regards to build diversity and variety.

Too many things that do not correlate with Bloodborne for it to be the expansion.
- bonfires
- player stance
- sacrificial online
- hud being a very placeholder type

if it was the bloodborne dlc then we wouldn't be seeing those things above and it would make no sense to add them into the game through an expansion.

I know, its Old Yharnam. But my point is that I see similarities with the Bloodborne colour palette and aesthetic.

I agree, it screams Bloodborne to me, but not enough for me to think it's Bloodborne DLC, just a similar tone.

I can't see them adding all kinds of armor, shields and bonfires as Bloodborne DLC.

And I especially can't see them adding 12 areas and 15 bosses as Bloodborne DLC, that would be NUTS.

Yeah it'd make no sense at all. Definitely isn't Bloodborne DLC.

- PC release is "negotiable."

Lmao, fuck you too square, the PC release was the only thing that made the first two games playable.

Well shit, looks like it's real.

I kinda see that Bloodborne influence, looks a bit more horror-ish than the two previous games.

What about the cutscenes, though? I don't have sound, but people said they mention 60 minutes of cutscenes? Not sure how I feel about that. Exploring the cryptic narrative is one of my favorite part of the Souls games.

Sure, cutscenes don't necessarily mean spoonfeeding you the story, but then it's 60 minutes of nothing? That's even more stupid.

Unless 60 minutes is normal for the series and it just sounds like more than it really is.

Highly unlikely.

What do you mean? I believe the majority of the responses to the potential lack of the PC release has been negative to say the least.
And the responses to those negative responses was simply to say "don't worry that's probably a misunderstanding" and "PC version is guaranteed at some point".

So yeah... I don't know what they're bitching about.

Yeah that was weird. I'll chalk that up to another misunderstanding, I doubt they'd suddenly change the narrative structure.

Confirmation bias, really. 100 people can say something positive, but the dude will focus on the one guy saying something ridiculous about Russian keys and decide to make a grandstand on "PS Fanboys" instead of actually contributing to the discussion.

When the red sun hangs low, the line between man and hollow is blurred. And when the Old Ones descend, a gamer will be blessed with a masterpiece.
