Sony E3 Conference 2015

What do you want from Sony's E3?

As a ps4 owner I said before this e3 that the only things that would make me really want a xbone are Shenmue 3 and Banjo 3. Shenmue is going to ps4 and rare are making an mmo.

I was indifferent to this e3 yesterday, but Sony killed it.
 
Incredible, just incredible.


Also, for the theater showing we got free popcorn and drink. VIP badge pass with code on it that unlocks $5 towards Batman AK, gameplay access to KillStrain (i think?), Batman costume, and maybe something else...can't recall.

Also got a free goodies bag with a poster, battlefront sticker, t-shirt, and a 7 days trial PS+ code,
 
what are y'all yapping about now. disadvantage in software to microsoft? how? because of halo forza fable gears and the staggered tomb raider release? none of those are going to matter..
 
TLG, Uncharted and Horizon's gameplays were phenomenal!

I thought The order won't be topped this early but that Uncharted segment was crazy.
 
I'm guessing this vindicates Hashimoto and elevates him (and Sony as well) to the status of true master trolls (in a good way of course).

And to think how many times the Hashimoto ultimate troll gif has been used...

In the mean while Sony has been quiet. Maybe a "We have a few things to be revealed at E3" type comment, but no hyping the hype. So when, one after another they dropped gigatons it had much more effect.

MS had a great conference, but I had a "that was it" feeling after all the pre game hype.

I know right?, i was thinking that MS would blow me away with their press conference and Sony's would be a letdown... how wrong i was as it ended up being the reverse of what i was expecting and then some.

And three of the four games are shooters.

Sony is basically in a different league in numbers, quality and diversity right now.
 
My thoughts:

The Last Guardian - Tears of joy
Horizon: Zero Dawn - Looked good, I am excited to see more. Just hope it is RPG.
FFVII - OMG! I did not believe the rumors this time.
Firewatch - Looked interesting
Dreams - Seems very odd. Don't know if it was good idea to show this in the press event.
Shenmue III - I haven't played I and II, but it is always nice to see these hyped games get announced.

What I wanted to see:
Rime - Guess it looks a bit similar to TLG, so that is why it probably was not shown.
The Witness - Weird that it was not shown.
Persona 5 - Did not expect it to be shown, but I need to see more!
 
I can't get over how great PS4 is gonna be for Japanese RPGs.

All we need now is Dragon Quest XI and we'll have everything. PS4 is the new PS2.

Also as amazing as the big 3 announcements were, and as incredible as Uncharted 4 was, Horizon is what I'm most excited about. What a reveal that was. Amazing. I want to play it right now.
 
Can't believe all the confirmations and interesting projects.

Assassin's Creed, BLOPSIII, Destiny, and other third party stuff were the weakest parts for me because I have zero interest but my god, they really stole the hearts of pretty much every Playstation fan in this conference by nailing pretty much every rumor and crazy pie-in-the-sky announcement fans wanted the most onto Sony's screens.

...but yeah, i totally agree. MS had a very solid show this E3 but Sony really snapped it up one after another. I am not excited about FFVII but the other exclusives really had me excited....Horizon and TLG really were beautiful to see in action. I thought Uncharted was also super impressive visually. I wish we could of seen some Gran Turismo footage but owell....overall Sony topped MS which i really did not think was possible because MS had a great showing. I feel Horizon is the best new IP of all...it's gonna be a great franchise..you can already feel it.

Anyway, Props to Sony for their top performance! So many other exclusives werent even mentioned that sony has in their first party studios.

They release about the same amount year over year. It was the same in 2014.

We had or will get from sony 2015: bloodborne, the order, tearaway, until dawn, drake collection, god of war iii
Ms 2015: halo, ori, forza, fable, screamride, gears 1, and tomb raider if you want to count that as first party.

Seems like a steady suply for both, and i am not even counting third party exclusive releases like broken age on ps4. Nor do i count stuff like tales of z and DQ heroes.

It is not because ms crams everything in the final three months, they have a steadier output.
 
Loved the show, although not many of my type of games were announced. Will definitely play the FF VII remake and The Last Guardian though, fantastic! Happy I watched it unspoiled and got up for it extra early this morning.

Will the Level 5 game be at the Square Enix conference? Dare I say DQ XI? It wasn't the World of Fantasy game right?

I did miss the indie section. Sure they have already announced a ton of indie games for this and the next year and they probably wanted to shake off the indie image they have going, but still!

Also not really an interesting quirky small exclusive game this year.

i swear all those games are just about my reason for owning a ps4, all we need now is a wild arms game and this would be complete and now i'm actually going to bed.
 
This is the first 10/10 conference for me ever. Just because the context has to be taken into account. There will rarely be a time again where 3 games so sought after for years will be announced like this.

I don't know how it ranks in terms of all time E3 conferences but it's up there with Nintendo unveiling the Wii to all that fanfare.

My views on it are pretty much in line with the GiantBomb reaction to the press conference.

Firewatch and Uncharted look good, though.

I feel like MS's conference looked backwards (quite literally, my favourite parts were BC (the jury is still out as to how good this will be) and the Rare collection (excellent value, if it plays Blast Corps better than emulation I'm pretty much guaranteed to be buying that xbone) while Sony's looked forwards.

Even though Sony also looked backwards with their brilliant fan service, I can't help but feel they've got the next two/three years sown-up, while MS are still floundering for their identity.

The site was down the entire time so you didn't miss much, as I knew it would be lol. I think the only other time it went down at all during this years E3 was the Battlefront gameplay reveal during the EA presser.

So according to a previous post of yours in this thread, you "just now started watching the conference" approx 15 minutes ago or so by know, which means you haven't finished watching it and you already pass judgement on it?, never mind the fact that you posted "dumb conference" before you even started watching it?... really? O_O
 
We just all fucking won today.

Uncharted 4 looks incredible. Battlefront looks nuts and there's actually no significant downgrade.

FFVII Remake, Shenmue 3, and The Last Guardian....

Horizon looks fun and has a lot of potential...

Just so much shit today..
