The only time I ever got 1500+ was actually with the 52 Gal at Kelp Dome with a 6:1 ratio (1513p, to be exact). If I can do it, he certainly can-- he is much better than I am!

Paint everything and don't die. There's no crazy secret to it. Same thing with getting 1900+ with an Aerospray or Splatomatic.

Ive painted everything without dieing with the aerospray and the most ive gotten is 1300 (without bonus)
Everyone is still depressed from E3.
Kelp Dome is the only map you can get stupidly high numbers on. There's just so much area to paint and sometimes its easy to avoid fighting.
E3 has distracted me. I don't get this whole "Nintendo didn't show games I wanted so now the game I liked is less appealing" thing going around. Splatoon is the same fun it was last week.

That should not have been your takeaway from all this. Nintendo has made some key mistakes over the past half decade (this press conference being one of them), but that doesn't mean it's dying.

I'm sure they realize there's no saving the wiiu and are focusing on nx. I do however think they have another big game up their sleeve.

Like I said before, there's Yoshi, Devil's TURD, Mario Maker, Xenoblade, Star Fox and Project Zero which I am interested in at least a bit from the EU releases here:

I think I may like the dual squelcher more than the splattershot pro. The regular splattershot is still my best weapon though
I have had very very very few (less than 5) since launch, then today I had 3 in a row, and I know it wasn't my internet. Luckily I was playing turf war instead of ranked at the time.

Played a few games with Nozzlenose - rather enjoyed it so far but can't see myself sticking to it.
Offensively, I've had a bit of trouble adjusting to the firing speed and it's been a bit of a mixed bag. Quite like the range and noticed that when aiming down, it paints quite a decent square, which has been handy mopping up enemy patches. Best performance was in one match where we won and with 1,000 I was the lead player.

More or less the same experience,firetest was awesome, first week was great too, then the communications appeared, got a lot via wifi so I bought an ethernet adapter but nothing's really changed, I avoid ranked mode just for that, when I can no longer paint the floor, the end is near, and that can be really frustating in the long run, even though some days are flawless.

Just gotta order them or wait for the shops to rotate. The higher slot gear only shows up in the shops when you're a higher level.
How low level are you? Are you getting matched with people around your level or with people way higher level than you? I'm curious how the level distribution is going now that I assume sales are slowing down

Those are the only two ways. If you're worrying about gear you're most likely not a high enough level to even be worrying about it. Seriously, don't worry about gear (aside from the main ability) until at least level 20. Even then it's not a big deal. I've been level 20 forever and still use 2* gear in rank (currently in A).
It should start picking up again now that basketball is over and e3 is ending. We had a good time last night.

You made me do a double-take. I was thinking, "FOUR slot gear? Did I overlook something?" Then I realized that you mean three-star gear.
As for getting better gear, there were probably plenty of three-star stuff during the week you quit. Within five days I had pretty much everything I needed, and I don't order from Spyke.
Aren't your teammates 17-20 then? It really doesn't mean much. I have played against plenty of level 20 players that are terrible.
Its total potluck to get out of c rank. Keep getting paired with shit team mates. So irritating on port mackerel.
