i dont think its the faces. if you were to single out each character on a cover. (batman on a cover, ww on a cover, supes on a cover) it looks less cheesy.

The only good thing I see in that pic is the suit is very similar to Superman's material so the wearer should be able to move easier. Looks like the neck's very flexible too, so he'll be able to turn his neck, but only in really dark scenes since you don't want to shine a light on the neck piece while it's all rubbery and deformed, lol.
