i feel like theres so much nuance that isnt being conveyed for those not familiar with the nba. like the chris paul/dirk dynamic, how utterly fucked the Clippers would be if Jordan left them as opposed to the title contenders they are with him, and how him moving to Dallas would destroy the Clippers but still not make the Mavs good enough to contend for a title.
How the Clippers totally took it for granted that Jordan would be back to LA and were left scrambling when he agreed to sign for Dallas. How Jordan's supposed reason to have agreed to go to Dallas was that he would be the focus of the offense when he is extremely limited offensively , cant make a freethrow to save his life, and lives off defense and protecting the rim.
How if he does turn back around and sign with the Clippers it leaves legendary Mavs veteran Dirk Nowitzki stuck in purgatory for the last of his career and the Mavs royally screwed. How passive aggresive Jordan's teammate Chris Paul is presumed to be towards Jordan but now presumably has to join the desperate recruitment.
