Wait, what does opt-in mean? CP3 is opting-in to the last year of his contract meaning he's only committed for 1 year? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Don't Melo and Pringles hate each other?

I don't disagree with the too many ball handlers part, though that's never been Chris Paul's role in the NBA. They may be able to make it work, but I still don't love the fit. I'll be interested to see what they try to fit around Harden and Paul.

In a Warriors super team world, if you have a chance to get one of the 15-20 best players in the league for as little as they gave up, you do it every time and worry about the fit later.

This trade makes Chicago and Sacramento look even more incompetent. Clippers got a DECENT haul for Paul... better than either of those teams got for their stars.

Doesn't know that "You" is used in both the singular and plural
Rockets are going to be weird. How does Harden + CP3 work?

The 7th pick in this draft is a better, more valuable asset (especially for a rebuilding team) than Sam Dekkar or Patrick Beverly.

That seems like a poor decision by Paul when the Spurs really wanted him. As a Clippers fan, I'm fine with this. The experiment didn't work but at least we got a better owner. Also, we have a PG who used to play for my Razorbacks, so that's cool too. Now let Blake walk or sign/trade him if possible and you can start to rebuild the right way. I'd like to keep DJ if we can, though.

I don't know how well they fit together personality-wise or game-wise, but you almost have to add star power first and figure out how to make it work later these days. Will also help attract better role players.

Reminder, CP3 put up 13 points in a home game 7 of the playoffs and Harden did...whatever the fuck he did against yhe Spurs and Warriors

Like it was trash

Chris Paul will murder Harden for goin to the Strip Club every night

Houston needed to clear assets so that is probably why the sign and trade happened too. Not just because Paul would get more money.

I still don't see them beating GS or even the Cavs. Should've went to SA, at least then we'd have a third super team to mix shit up. Oh well, he prob won't even last half a season before getting injured.

Word on the street is the Deandre Jordan is trying to get into CP3's house and lock the door before the deal goes through to convince him to stay

With Jackson gone seems to me Melo might be staying in NY? One of the sticking points there was Dolan wasn't going to do a buyout. Maybe they do a trade, but seems to me the Rockets wouldn't be the destination in that scenario.

As a Clippers fan you should feel pretty good about heading into a rebuild with Jerry West.

I don't see this working, but am excited to see what comes of it.

Why do people keep saying Lebron to the Lakers? Would he really leave CLE?

People need to look at Houston more for what and who they can attract after a move such as this. They could be quite dangerous. And, yes, Paul and Harden together can be a very, very dangerous combo. People almost certainly shouldn't be doubting how deadly a team they can truly be.
