Hopefully this finally gets people off the Metropolis battle from MoS. Have a feeling this movie is going to change some people's perception on MoS now that we are seeing the bigger picture.

Why would it change the perception of MoS; MoS exists as standalone film and lives or dies on its own merits. Addressing an issue in a subsequent film doesn't fix the issue in the original.

If Afflecks movie is successful then introduce Damian maybe. There are many pre-damian story they would skip; No Man Land, War Games, etc. Hell even if they don't have tim and decide to have Nightwing and confirm that that was Jason Todd who died i would be happy because that leaves a many stories they can go also

I know they're going for a contemplative, conflicted look on Clark here, but I busted out laughing seeing this shot because it looks more like Clark thinking "What the hell are you talking about, mom? That's fucking dark Goddamn." in response to her "You don't owe this world a thing."

To be serious, I like what they did there. One complaint i've heard a lot about Man of Steel is that Clark was often told what to do. Martha seemed to be doing the same thing here, but then switched it up completely. It's all on Clark, how he wants to play this.

I'm glad they're taking the logical step with the climatic battle from MOS onwards. It's too rich for them to just start this movie off like nothing happened. Like a shiton of people died in that finale.
