You're right, they're the jerks for being upset.
I am right.

Yup, not to mention his titan run was awful.
Fortunately I liked him in Batman Eternal.
The view on Superman is conflicted though. Many view him as a messiah while other see him as a threat. And I honestly don't know why anyone who just experienced Kryptonian 9/11 should care about that. In the public eye, Superman has done nothing but harm. Less harm than he could have I'll admit.
The whole "Superman is good but people don't know if they should trust him" but only works in comic books when Superman always saves the day. When you try to make a Superman movie realistic for some reason that gets ruined because Superman isn't realistic, and you end up with a Superman movie that's depressing.
What were they thinking?
Being Superman means he doesn't have a normal life. The sameway Bruce Wayne can't have a normal life since he's Batman, Peter Parker can't since he's Batman, etc. They feel obligated to do it once they start.Hey wait no Jor El told him everything he wanted to know
And he still leads a regular life, just also as Superman. If anything he's in a better place now because he has a steady job instead of drifting everywhere.
iirc, Zod is the only time he killed in the comics, and it was for the same reason. however, i think it was in an alternate universe when he did it.
I like how Superman's all like "Fuck it! I 'm gonna kill Batman with my motherfucking laser beams." So Supes doesn't mind killing now? Interesting.
That scene still blows my mind. I rather he died from a heart attack
Tim got a classic Silver Age esque detective costume in his original series, who thought it was a good idea to give him a falcon costume? How does this reflect his character at all?Speaking of...
Cass is finally returning too.
Him dying from a heart attack was what showed Clark that even with all his power he couldn't save everyone. Until he turned back time that is.That scene still blows my mind. I rather he died from a heart attack

that is such a cool cover for batman and robin eternal. damn. grayson da gawd.
I still remember how amazing that scene was in Smallville.

This is why that scene absolutely sucks. Clark did have the power to save him
It was the main series, regular, post-crisis canon Supes who did it; it was the Zod from an alternate universe Krypton though. (At the time, DC wanted Superman to really be the last survivor from Krypton, so they brought in a Zod from an alternate universe.) Zod and his lackeys basically destroyed the earth from that universe, so Superman decided they were too dangerous.
So he executed them.

Wrong thread my friend lol
"I'm sorry your family died m'am, but good news! More people didn't die!"
Have Bat-extended-family runs ever do well? I know DC tried many times (e.g. Batman Inc).Speaking of...
Cass is finally returning too.
Anything is an improvement over condom-head.Tim got a classic Silver Age esque detective costume in his original series, who thought it was a good idea to give him a falcon costume? How does this reflect his character at all?
Naw, having him choose Lana over Pops ultimately proven worthless as he ended up with Lois in the end.
Superman The Movie had PA Kent's death handled the best.
The cowl fit his character a lot more than the mechanical fucking wings do, also you do know that Batman's costume is the same thing with the ears right?Have Bat-extended-family runs ever do well? I know DC tried many times (e.g. Batman Inc).

I thought it was supposed to be Newark.![]()
Why 1970's? From the cartoon it felt like it was in the prohibition era.
Welp, I'm going to watch Man of Steel tonight. So hyped!
To be honest... meh.
I mean, I don't really get why Superman is fighting Batman and I don't care about Clark Kent after the awful first movie. Batman is getting rebooted so... we'll have to watch his parents being shot again.
Besides, Batman, Robin, Superman, (incredibly dull) Lex, Zod, Wonder Woman... too many characters for a single movie imho.
Soooo... meh. I don't think this movie is for me I guess :/
I'm saying its a terrible idea to make your fake fictional Superman a terrible hero that lets thousands of people die, because then you can't make a compelling Lex Luthor villain because everyone in the world should be of tne same mind as Lex Luthor. My original post was about how baffling it is that they went with this depressing tone for a Superman movie, and how ridiculous it is that Lex is supposed to be a villain in the world they've created.I really don't understand how someone can enjoy conversing the way you're going about it. No matter what anyone says...you're going to draw another circle.
I know you've heard of "the greater good" argument. You had an inexperienced superman fighting a group of others who were just as powerful as he (superman) with the added bonuses of the baddies being combat savvy and wanting to take over the world in the middle of a big ass city.
You're dragging the convo down pretending you can't see that in this fake fictional superhero movie.
To be honest... meh.

None of this is correct.I'm saying its a terrible idea to make your fake fictional Superman a terrible hero that lets thousands of people die, because then you can't make a compelling Lex Luthor villain because everyone in the world should be of tne same mind as Lex Luthor.
Wait til justice league comes out. The amount of characters will blow your mind just like the avengers did.
4 characters in a movie is too many characters.
4 characters in a movie is too many characters.

Absolutely, specially when you have to tell who the fuck they are in a single movie.
....?
I wish this Wonder Woman looked more like her. That's my Wonder Woman <3
Hell Civil War is going to have more people than Justice League.
Absolutely, specially when you have to tell who the fuck they are in a single movie.
Can we just let this talk of MoS destruction go? Just let it go. It's been two years.
It's a ridiculous talking point that continuously gets parroted, despite there being overwhelming visual narrative proof in the film that it is false. Can we just let this talk of MoS destruction go? Just let it go. It's been two years.
