Would you be able to do the Spotlight this week or no?
I wish people volunteered considering it's EVO and all D;
So what's the final word on SFxT? Did stream monsters kill it or did SFxT kill SFxT?
Tekken dudes played so good in that gameGems killed sfxt.
I miss playing heihachi and Lili :/
On the flipside: you think releasing the 2nd iteration to one of your biggest properties months after the first iteration is any better?
How is that preferable to releasing a crossover between two of the biggest fighting game properties, especially under the notion (according to ShockingAlberto) that Capcom didn't feel like it had competition during that time? At the time we heard of just the notion of a SF and Tekken crossover there was no way it wouldn't do gangbusters. The MvC3 series also released in close proximity to Mortal Kombat 9, and UMvC3 close to TTT2, which are arguably bigger hitters to worry about than any of those other titles in 2012 (the biggest one is SCV, which, they released SFxTK in close proximity to anyways). If you're using cannibalization as an argument, they should have steered clear of 2011 than to worry about someone not picking up SFxTK because they wanted an anime game instead. That entire time period is messy, and releasing SFxTK a full year later is a clean spot and when the game "got good" anyways, isn't it?
i disagree. when they come in here talking about those games and buying those products, they ARE endorsing those companies.
im not sure what the "flawed derivative no base" part is in reference to, but my point is it is a *little* hypocritical
Yeah that 2011-2012 era was ridiculous for fighting games. You would be hard pressed to find another period with more fighting games released in that time.

The Vita and the PSP are pretty amazing. DS and 3DS are trash in comparison, but get all the good software.

speaking of tekken characters.
Lili would be flat out broken in SF4. Better divekick than cammy. With meter you can't throw fireballs at her at most ranges. Does 40% damage easily. Good normals. And an EX parry that parries both high and low.
Tekken characters for the most part were so good. Julia in vanilla was so dumb. Did you do a move that is -2? Do I have 2 meters? Well eat a super.
Just saw the timeline and it appears that the late 90s had the most concentrated amount of releases at one time.Fightergeneration.com has a release timeline
Don't think 92-93 will ever be dethroned: SamSho, Virtua Fighter, Eternal Champions...
Yep. Vita could of been a must have for FGC heads. Sigh.
It had umvc3, sfxt, BBCP, BBCP extend, MKX, Injustice, and a ton of old school fighters.
I still remember Lili's intro trailer. Was really impressed how they presented her in 2D environment.
Is there an adapter, or general way to make a PS3 stick work on the Vita?
I was watching Ken tráiler again and this came out after.

I remember how hype we were back then and look now... Such a shame it didn't turn out as suposed... They should try again some day...

3 and a half years. Time goes fast. For all of them actually.

she is by far one of the best new characters I have played with. Her moveset just works with her normals so well.
That is crazy, And i thought 2012 was too much.Just saw the timeline and it appears that the late 90s had the most concentrated amount of releases at one time.
1999 in particular was a huge year.

It's an artifact of the internet. I hope it never changes.Dude gotta be the last known user of Frames in 2015 right?
Some of those late 90s years were crazy all around. That is crazy, And i thought 2012 was too much.
Definitely one of my favorites. Wish they would just give her moveset to Karin or something in SFV.
honestly they would have to tone her immensely, and im not sure how they would go about that exactly.
-Most characters divekick has to hit below the chest to follow up into a combo, not lili because hers is like a drill (like sims but as fast as cammy's ex divekick)
-Her normals were so good and converted to easy 30/40% damage no meter.
-You could never jump in on her at certain ranges because her angel kick(?) was upper body invul and she gets a follow up combo on hit.
-She has 2 EX moves that pretty much punish midscreen fireballs on reaction.
-EX parry that lasted a good amount of time that covered high/low.
funny thing, nobody picked her but she was always high tier on everybody's list. I mean she didn't really have a reversal get off me outside EX parry and maybe that EX spin move. Her DP didn't hit crouching lol.

If you include 2013 as well, these 3 years were a "peak" and now fighting game releases have slowed down quite a bit.
OG DivekickI wonder when we'll get a game were people actually give all the characters on the cast a fair shot. Either it will take a small roster or enough outsiders get intergated. Because I feel some characters are criminally under used in many fighting games. Funnily enough DOA has better character usage than others. But nobody gives it credit for givng unique characters or what not or proper nerfs and shit like that.
But people are people.
That's fucking hilarious. For U.S.A to have any chance of having one of us make Top 8 for Tekken 7, we must all accept Paul Phoenix as our only lord and savior.

Yeah that's what I noticed too. Their output was insane in that time frame (previous couple of years too).In fact, looking at the 1999 list, the biggest difference is SNK falling off the face of the earth post-2000 bankruptcy. There are ELEVEN GAMES from them on that '99 list.
I wish the Tekken cast in SFxT was in a different game too :'(

I'd kill for a platinum action game with the Tekken characters.
Best part of sfxt is Jin,Kazuya and Heihachi all treating Asuka like she's a bitch.
SF4 is the most fun fighting game of all time going by karst logic
Most people play and watch SF4...I thought this was objective fact.
hopefully they'll take the juicy bits and adapt movesets and whatnot for SFV characters
Most people play and watch SF4...
It MUST be the most fun!
Senpai noticed my footsie and neutral ;_;
