1. Well since that's the meaning of his name it could a red herring if Solidus is involved
2. Because he's a Nightwing fan. I think it's also not a big deal. It's a domino mask.

Maybe is part of Les Enfant Terrible project too, even if he's not a BB's clone. Maybe Kojima will retcon how LET works in this chapter, like a cloning program, but with different sources.

Regarding Skullface's mask, I think there are two version: the real one, and an imagined one (by Venom), maybe the mask has the purpose of distinguish one version from another.

I think I've shown that I'm than happy to credit other people's efforts and it's certainly not because of anything personal against you. Your list was just one of the one's I didn't use :-)

I still that the cloning of The Boss may be true and Joy Divison would be the original project of the Patriots to clone The Boss and the Cobras as powered super soldiers but that there's an irony in that one thing that made them so formidable, their emotions, made the clones unstable and most of the, died but Kid Mantis (who could be a clone of The Sorrow or at least something something) escaped or was rescued by Liquids child soldier army, heck. Maybe it was all done at the same facility and they've been bros ever since.

Ah ok then :) I wasn't being a dick or anything. Anyway, apparently the guide makers have stated on Amazon that the guide doesn't contain major spoilers and they have been very careful at hiding them.

I wonder what else we have in store?
 
What I find funny is Liquid having an ARMY behind him while he is like 12.
I understand the Lord of the Fly reference, but having an army is a bit too much.
If that is true, of course.
 
So thus far we only know that Ishmael's identity is important. Doesn't mean the V isn't Big Boss, though. It seems odd that we'd spend the entire finale of the MG series playing a newly introduced character who has little to do with the overarching story.

Two things that will annoy me.
1. We play as Solidus.
2. kojima has said that solid snake is a clone, thus deprived of many emotions, and is cold. If we play as a clone, his statement is complete bullshit.

He's a son of Big Boss. He received the leadership traits that allow him lead armies. Basically, he received the idealistic genes meanwhile David is all about that action. LOL at Liquid leading armies while David receives military training and goes to theme parks. <--- The source for this comes from the wiki.

Eh it would be odd but they'd still be vitally important if BB manipulates them etc.

Also I'm not sure about Liquid having an army behind him, could be a commander of a unit in that child soldier force we saw way back when.

In a real life basis I seem to remember reading about units of child soldiers when alone was all the rage a few years ago. It happens, I mean it's weird but still.
 
This info below is interesting to me, I left the note about the guide not making it clear about which Big Boss they are talking about because that note is just a note from someone who put the list together.
Big Boss is Big Boss and Venom Snake is Venom Snake. The guide makes this clear when they talk about Venom not being Big Boss.

The guide states that at the end of The Phantom Pain, the parasite that mutates peoples' vocal chords infects Mother Base. This forces Big Boss to exterminate his soldiers to prevent a global catastrophe.
The guide continues by saying that although he takes on this responsibility without any apparent remorse, it's impossible from him to ignore the fact that he has contributed to these events. This causes him to unleash his "inner demon".
Big Boss becomes the antagonist gradually, slowly consumed by what happens to him until all that is left is his obsession.
After these events, Big Boss is more determined than ever to reinforce his troops, with the aim of forming a nation free from the governments' hegemony, a dream he will be on the verge of realising in the 1990's.

I'm assuming when the infection takes over MB Big Boss steps in and kills everyone, including Venom Snake. The reason I'm assuming this is the fact the guide States that Big Boss is consumed with guilt and basically becomes insane and eventually becomes the antagonist (which is the real Big Boss, not VS). It goes on to say that because of this Big Boss gradually becomes consumed by what has happened and becomes obsessed with finding and Killing Skullface. After these events Big Boss is determined to create Outer Heaven and eventually succeeded in the 1990's.

Not that we have much of a clue how this parasite is supposed to work. That part about english language seems more of a conjecture of yours. The Guide is stated to be less descriptive about the story events anyway.

Like what do they do with the AI Pod? Why do they torture Huey, and how does he cope with that? Seriously we aren't simply missing flavor text here, huge chunks of explanations aren't covered with the guide. You guys are still trying to analyze shit that has too little details to make sense of it. ALSO no one has yet to come out who has actually played the game and explain what happens. You guys here can't give me much of an explanation here can you now?

The main point is that just GZ is "wrong" memory of the clone. Which is the part WE played already and does seem like a possible Kojima ruse like MGS2 tanker part. The medic might be a false lead all together.

But a lot of people claim that he is not legit. I just find his "theory" to be more plausible then what other people came up with. :D

I woudn't hold every small detail against him as he claims to wrote it down from memory but yeah being wrong on Venom destroying MB is a big one. The guide states it was Kaz, right?

Yeah Metallic Archaea. Somebody done research when the achievements leaked and found that it means prototype nanomachines, coincidentally that's the name of the mission where you kill all the MB staff when they are infected by the "Parasite" It was in the video of the mag what was translated by Eden.

Also I found it weird that Skullfaces XOF Unit was a shadow unit of FOX and his unit was actually made to protect and watch over Big Boss.

Yeah. That's the one. Metal Archaea would roughly mean metal micro-organisms. So it still kinda fits in with MGS world. I mean for a proto-nanomachine (compared to MGS1) they're incredibly clumsy (if it is nanomachines) and quite brute force if the DD troops are infected with them.

I woudn't hold every small detail against him as he claims to wrote it down from memory but yeah being wrong on Venom destroying MB is a big one. The guide states it was Kaz, right?

The guide States it's Kaz who destroys MB? I thought Eden translated and it was Big Boss? I don't think it's Venom who destroys MB it's the real Big Boss as that's how he turns evil and creates Outer Heaven.
 
Hold on. Where does it say anywhere that the Ground Zeroes we played was through the eyes of Venom Snake or some kind of altered memory?

Even changing out Snake's voice for Keifer oddly fits the lyrics because it was a bit like "white noise" for a lot of people at first.

So i assumed it was not Big Boss / Venom. Should have actually looked it up as the situation is already confusing enough! ;)
Well, then there is no real reason so far that the clone theory of BigMGSfan is not plausible, right?
 
I decided to look in this thread and I'm even more confused about what's going on. Even if what's listed in this thread happens, it's so fucking out there and abstract you'll have to play the game just to understand the context of events and see how the characters can even process them. And I was honestly expecting that which is why spoilers don't bother me.

A part of me wishes Kojima did just mail a mock strategy guide to 10 people just to see what would happen though. Like some deranged version of Willy Wonka.

Honestly this is all that needs to be shown in regards to the Medic/Fake Big Boss stuff.
There's no Shrapnel, because Big Boss was protected by another person in the blast (medic).

Is all this crazy? Yes, but Kojima is kojima and I feel like people are nuts to think someone so notoriously fussy over details and hints is just having stuff like that in the games be nothing.
