V has come to

Can anyone clarify what happens after supposed first ending (killing everyone at MB)? Some say you get to play after that, but what about your soldiers that supposed to be dead? Or game reverts you to a moment just before that with everything intact?

I'm assuming heavily, that not everyone dies in MB? Basing that off the trailer where VS creamates his soldiers.

Pretty sure this isn't official.
YOU'RE not official!

Do animals really live there? Pretty neat. Has it been said what having animals does outside of D Dog? Just for fun? I know it's been confirmed that there are rare animals in the wild.

The codename list is pretty cool. I thought it was more of a worst to best type of ranking, but apparently you get them based on how you play. I see a lot of people getting chick and tortoise.

It's an isolated strut where all of the animals you fulton live. I don't know if they actually do anything, though.

e: nm wHACK STREAM

We've known about this forever, sometimes she decides to sunbake while she's laying in her cell, and if you time it right you can catch her doing it.
I mean, if you're locked up...what else are you going to do?

Unfortunately the sun isn't actually shining into the cage though. I saw it myself on the stream earlier ;-)

And can you hide that stream link popno? If not, it's gonna get taken down :-)

shame you can't fulton a bear, give it an eyepatch, and have it fuck things up with ya on the battlefield. smh kojima

e: i just realised you'll probably have to kill all the animals when you destroy mother base ;-;

who knows....what secrets......mother base holds...........?

Got it from outside ngaf so no point in hiding it. I think he's just restreaming a video anyway.

iDroid upgrades? I wonder what they do.

Some of the non-weapon upgrades and what they do:

NVG - Light Amplification Up; Exposure Correction Up; Thermal Detection Up.
Phantom Cigar - Effect Duration Up; Portable Ammo Up.
Drugs - Effect Duration Up
Int. Scope - Analyzer Function (max analyzer rank increases with further upgrades)

And answer your question (half answering since I don't know what this does. Attract enemies if you play music?)
iDroid - Rank 2: Speaker Function

BULLYING CONFIRMED

Mission by mission / episode I think. See this post

That's actually what caused some of my curiosity/uncertainty actually. It does suggest it's awarded on a mission-by-mission basis, but I assume that the 'total play time' is what's caused the acquisition of tortoise (as 15/16 hours by mission 9 seems rather slow, albeit there is the acknowledgement that a lot of that could be spent in Mother Base, on Side Operations, or on simply exploring the open world, whereas 21 minutes for a single mission doesn't seem that bad). Either way though, it is a relief to see that they're in the game.

EDIT: Thanks for the list below!

Tortoise rank is awarded for vehicle usage, not time completed. Not sure if total game time would affect your rank anyway but I assume not.

Oh that's sick, had no idea you could do that in GZ let alone hold people up. Is that the only way too force enimies to hold up their hands? Looks like you have to do it while facing an enemy.

Also never noticed SkullFace in the Metal Gear's Palm, opposite of mantis in that pic. I love how tall it looks ingame, actually feels like a real giant mech is chasing you. Is this supposed to be the same one from MG1?

you can hold up enemies just by aiming your gun near them.

I didn't know you could do all that. I thought you could only ever grab.

Yeah, for some reason, advance CQC are only taught in manual, not in-game. Not that the game provide a scenario where you really need to use cqc.

Am i the only one not offended by this?
On the contrary I personally find it beautiful.
Nice shots btw xD

I think it is an interesting concept and could work in a vacuum, but in terms of the whole MGS story, it's extremely contradictory and pointless. It feels like a twist for the sake of a twist. But who knows, let's see how Kojima pulls it off.

I'm pretty sure that was a post about Quiet's tiddies

So guys I have played quiet a bit approximately 10 to 12 hours. I'm done with Afghanistan for now. I've completed all side ops, if I redo the missions for all the additional objectives I may have missed, I may unlock more.I have build and spent a good amount of time at MB, already have DD full grown and Quiet in a cell at MB and Im at 10%!. Onto Africa now, will play when I get home from work.

Hold on.

We play infact as the REAL BIG BOSS. But in the first endings we think that we play as the Medic?
Wait... it's different if I got it right....

We play as Big Boss the whole game BUT in fact he is a body double (the medic).
In the "regular" ending (BB killing his own troops in the MB) we still don't know this and it is revealed in the "secret" ending in a flash forward (fake BB has already founded Outer Heaven and receives a tape)
