Yeah somehow the idea that bandaged-head due is the real Big Boss (the way he talks and what he does doesn't at all resemble what Big Boss would do) is kinda iffy.
It seems to make more sense that they wanted a new Big Boss on their side, so they made a fake one, because the current one was likely going to die or go crazy/evil/whatever, Cypher just wanted another on their side to control their army (ultimate commander/perfect soldier thingy a la MPO).
So maybe the big lie is that they even managed to make Big Boss think he's not the real one, if so they would have convinced everyone.
But any way this goes, MGS4 doesn't make any sense anymore. I'm fine with that.

Apparently you can call down supply drops directly on the heads of bosses. Hitbox streamer just clobbered Quiet with one in their fight.

I can confess that I am no good at MGS type of gameplay (Stealth) so it has taken me 3 hours so far to complete the first 3 missions (Prologue alone took me an hour). This game's platinum will definitely take a lot of challenge and patience.

Anyone have an ESRB PS4 Collector's Edition in hand? Someone on reddit claims that theirs did not include the DLC code and Konami told them that due to a process error no PS4 copies include codes.

He says in that post that Konami will be supplying them to retailers to give out to customers directly, but anyone who buys secondhand or on eBay is likely out of luck
Really basic question for those who have the game: Are there audio options? I mean like how most games now let you turn down the music but keep dialog and sound effects up, that kind of thing.

I swear the lens flares in the prologue were gonna give me some sort of seizure.
Kojima is probably trying to copy J.J Abrams.
Sniper Wolf costume covers her up pretty well. There is also a new outfit only seen during the prologue. I am sure it will be unlockable too but no one has seen how to do so yet.
