Wonder if Konami's plan is to remake MG1/2 and MGS1 in fox engine, as part of Kojima free trnasition to MG.

Many folks would have issues with MG games with out Kojima....but if they begin to remake games to capitalize on this engine...by time new MG comes in to play...we will be use to idea of Kojima free MG..

They need to just reboot the series. Or start doing it like ghost babel.

Where it's just a story in the universe but it doesn't connect to any other game.

After watching that, I feel Big Medic was actually done pretty well, except for the face creation in the beginning which completely gives it away -- although I don't know how you could do any face creation without giving it away.

Black and white.

By telling the player that you are big boss and that you're going to get your face changed immediately, then the surgeon gets killed. A fractured, in reverse memory.

I guess this is how they differentiate Zanzibar vs Outer Heaven.

You're talking a nation vs a mercenary unit.

I'm so lost as to what the fuck happened in the hospital and what's going on with Miller. Was that really Mantis? Am I really Big Boss? If so, then who was Ishmael? What was the point of creating an avatar? Why did the Man on Fire look like Volgin? Why did Miller clench his fist like Liquid? That felt like a serious bit of foreshadowing.

I feel like MG1 and 2 remakes were so obviously the planned follow up to Phantom Pain. Quite the shame.

No mention of Solidus, lack of respect.

The treatment of Solidus after MGS2 has to be my biggest pet peeve with the franchise. What we know of his history makes him the most interesting of the triplets IMO but Kojima treats him like Yamcha.

Spunky Platypus up in dis base...

Yeah, there was a Haven logo too. The background logo changed through the calendar crawl.

Yep. MGSV Ending Timeline MGS2 references:

2007: Tanker Incident

2009: Big Shell Incident

That's all there was. I guess we should be happy they were even mentioned at all.

I feel like MGS has gone star wars. Star wars used to be about Luke, then the prequels came out and made the whole series look like it was about darth vader.

It felt like MGS used to be about solid snake, but now I think big boss is the actual protagonist of the series.

Honestly, in a world where Kojima left Konami after making a MG1/2 remake, I honestly think Solidius would have played a larger role. Even in MGS2 (and to a lesser extent, 4), he was the one clone that no one even knew about. And he was the one clone who wasn't some military grunt, but actually attained an actual position of political power.

Yes. No. Ishmael=Big Boss. For the reveal that you underwent face surgery to look like Big Boss. Because he was Volgin.

Yes, just going off the actions in MGS1 and 4, the Patriots used him to protect it's interest, both times going with a cheap action of using a nanomachine virus. Pretty sure someone called him a gun/tool of the Patriots.

Now, he was heroic in what he was doing, but was still unknowingly helping the Patriots.

The fully realized clone of Big Boss and in the end he's basically just a key in MGS4. Liquid came back 2 more times after his death as a goddamn arm!

Yes. BB commands FOXHOUND until MG1. He can't maintain commander status at that point so goes full Zanzibar mode.

And the AIs had Solid Snake take him down just like he took down Liquid/Ocelot later on, cause he had done so before by taking down Venom.

You see it's like poetry, it rhymes.

Btw I think Konami would remake MG1 and MG2, but they will probably want to keep the recruitment and MB thing, so you would probably still play as Venom and then BB.

And then they remake MGS1 but they start a new alternate timeline instead and it goes on as a new series, that rhymes with the old...

So Outer Heaven was basically just Venom being a warmongering evil sunnuva bitch... While BB goes on to try and make something he believes in? Makes some sense I suppose. Venom creates a fortress and attempts to threaten the world... BB tries to take all the nukes for himself - for no real identified purpose, while giving a nation its independence... which in all actuality is something he kind of stands for anyways in Peace Walker... helping the weak - etc.

Goddamnit why am I trying to make sense of this shit.

still prefer solid snake by leaps and bounds over Big Boss, and personally, big boss was far more interesting before all this "character development"

That's how I used to be. But now I feel like big boss was the real deal and solid was just a fake short-lasting clone job.

Has anyone seen the Michael Keaton movie Multiplicity about clones?

Someone needs to make an MGS spoof if it.

Clone 1 is the masculine side
Clone 2 is the feminine
Clone 3 is retarded.
