I don't think a video game has ever made its way to my top 10 of all time so effortlessly after just 4% completion.

The gameplay and ways to approach different scenarios are so incredibly expansive and vast - it's blowing my mind.

This is definitely one of the most sandboxiest games I have ever played.

20 hours to 100%? What was the point of making it open world in that case? Doesn't sound like there's a lot of content if you can do everything in 20 hours.. Sounds about the length of the previous games, give or take some.

You know he was talking about GZ?

Read the post he replied to...

I'm on ep 5 and have completed every side mission and played for about 7 hours yesterday. Let's call it 5 hours given I took breaks and wasted a lot of time in game (I looked for Kaz at the wrong marker for maybe a half hour lol). If it's 20 hours it's a dense 20 hours.

He's not talking about TPP. Now, I'm not blazing through it, fulton'ing way too many people, but I've played something like 15 hours and I'm at like...9%.

Is the word section of the emblem menu absurdly slow for anyone else? The number and letter part is fine, but the tabs with words take like three seconds to go down even one selection.

No mission in particular. I was running around during the first wave of Side Ops and and heard barking, so I found him nearby. He's really tiny and hard to see, but keep an ear out for the barking sound.

Miller even made mention of him, but I havent found him yet.

Mission 18..ish?
Does the Helicopter always spot you at the end when you're escorting the kids?, it seemed like it just came out of nowhere.

I was doing it stealthy (was doing well too) and i wasn't equipped to deal with it.

I also forgot the crippled kid and left him in the cell lol

If he mentions "no time to play with wild animals" or something that means the dog is right under your nose. Just circle the area, but like I said he's TINY, like cat-sized.

can we shoot lights and not up the full alert status?

Yes. Silencer will "alert" them but they'll radio about it. AFAIK so long as you take the person that notices out before they radio they won't even know.

Nah, you have to drop the kid and go prone. I did it stealthily on my second try.

I'm pretty sure it takes he stock regardless as soon as you deploy, so not using it as a waste.

I really need to stop doing this. I take so much onto the field with me and end up not using it.

Can't progress in this game because I keep doing Side Ops.

And this. As someone who's really critical of the lack of story in missions, I sure do spend a lot of time avoiding what is there. Damn my checklist approach to playing games.

I must say, this game is packed with content, not nessacerily cutscences, but there are so much to do in the game and the gameplay is actually fun! This is somewhat rare since metal gear, I feel, has always had somewhat lacking gameplay compared to contemporaries.

This time however, damn, It's just so fun going around and planning while being stealthy. I think I've killed maybe 10 people during the about 25 hours I've played so far, i've fultoned the rest.

The story does seem kind of disjointed, maybe as a resulted of the mission structure, although it also makes it much easier to follow compared to other entries as the information compartamentalised to a single episode.

You need the Wildworm plant to MAKE those though. If you don't have the plants, you can't make them to get when you deploy. Unless your Medical team is able to synthesize the plants themselves to where you eventually don't have to do it, you kinda have to grab those to make stock for them to refine.

That feeling when you're listening to a cassette, the iDroid is announcing something, enemy guards are reporting to HQ, and Miller is talking to you all at the same time.

can we shoot lights and not up the full alert status?

It's recommended you shoot out lights. Try to make sure nobody is around, but even if a guard or two is nearby they still might not notice it.

Warning: If lights are on a utility pole then shooting out the lights has a chance of making the wires go crazy for a little bit. That can attract attention.

Also you know there are electrical generators around the levels. You can turn those off.

Holy shit at episode 11!!!

I was going to rescue Huey and on the way in the ruin I meet Quiet! and straight into boss battle! I assume this is how the episode 11 is suppose to be triggered? I wonder if there is other way to trigger it...
anyways I was lucky I took DD as my buddy. DD was marking her for me so it was really helpful.

I love how much detail is put into the world just for the sake of it. Last night I stumbled onto some ruins and found a tower I could climb with the climbing cracks. I got to the top and nothing was up there, then I turned around and the vista was just stunning. Took some pictures but at work so can't post. Anyway, I really just love that there's all this to take in without "grab chest #32" being the reward. The exploration and sense of immersion is incredible. Reminds me of SotC kinda.

They probably saw how poor a player i am, and gave me a much more direct advice.
that looks like a cool puppy, you should probably fulton him back to the MB

Even then, it took me a while to spot him.

Lol I held up an enemy near a small stream of water, when I returned to fulton him, he had drowned.

This is the polar opposite of my experience and I'm jealous.

On mission 17. The latest tape I found was
Spandau Ballet - True.
In the same mission, I overheard two guards talking and I think of them said he
was going to give his own child to a trafficker (to become a child soldier?)
. This is dark.

Haha i know that part. I guess i don't know how far in ill get the fulton system.

Should i give in and kill or is it worth going full stealth till i get the fulton ?

At some point, you'll be able to tell how "good" a soldier is, in certain fields. Then, you can be more selective in who lives and who doesn't get a balloon ride.

Best I can tell, most missions have bonuses, like no combat alerts, no kills, etc. No Kills seems like it's usually 5000 points bonus and 0 for any and all kills. Not sure if you can get enough points without it to S Rank, but I'm sure you can A Rank.

uh is there a way to edit your emblem again after you already made it? The one I made is really shit but I cant find the menu again

This is the polar opposite of my experience and I'm jealous.

It's possible (probable?) that this ruin will have a mission/op in later on (I'm only on Mission 3 and have done ~4-5 side ops), but even so I still like that I could find it in free roam just by running around. Also randomly found D-Dog on the way to a side op.

Does any gentle soul out there have a copy or extra key for Ground Zeros on PS4? I missed the PS+ release. It would mean a TON to me! :)
