Does anyone have any advice for the Traitor's Caravan mission?

Where you have to
Extract a truck but are attacked by Skulls.
I'm having a terrible time and just getting wrecked everytime.
keep throwing decoys to the right, when they move away trang and Fulton the zombie guard and drive on outta there.

At most locations there are little orange areas with invoices attached to them, tear off the invoice and I think it lets you travel to other ones you've been to.

Coming from Witcher 3, D-Horse is a godsend.

Thankfully my DS4 just went dead, 1:30am, need to be up in 5hours.

Wow, it must be really awful then on TW3.

Hmm, really? I think D-Horse controls great, then again I'm coming from Dragon Age: Inquisition where it felt like driving a tank. And shooting on D-Horse is WAY better than shooting on Agro.

Yeah, but in D-Horse you shoot with a gun. On Agro you use a bow and arrows. Both are quite different.
On RDR it was quite confortable to shoot with a rifle tho.

The most important information about characters are explained in the game, mostly the broad strokes explained in Ground Zeroes is enough, if you haven't played Peace Walker.

Listen to the tapes you get. Everything gets very roughy refreshed. Enough to understand who these characters are. Lahtough probably not indeph enough for the bigger picture I think.

Thanks! The text about the PW story was pretty detailed so I'm pretty set there. Just the burning and psychic dudes in the intro I don't know if I should have known who they were. But if it's explained in game then it's fine!

Erm, I cant construct command platform and I can't leave the screen!?

EDIT: Ah, nevermind. Base dev, Intel or support? Hmm

Alright so I have heard you can miss Quiet.

I've been going through some early missions and some of the soldiers mentioning someone that sounds like Quiet being around the
power plant.
in casual conversations.

Do I need to wait until there is a proper mission there or can I go there and get her now?

So I keep getting the Octopus codename..I'm assuming it's because I'm tranqing everything that moves, so reaching out all over the place and strangling them?
I keep getting Chick (baby chicken) codename... which I don't understanding considering more often than not my infiltrations end with a lot of loud gun fire, death, and relatively stellar mission objective success.

So how do you customize your helicopter entrance music? Or can you?

I think you press square while browsing through the tracks on your iDroid.

anything special I need to do with DD to be able to take him on missions?, got him a couple of missions ago, hes still a puppy.

Just keep doing missions, to both of you.

I was stuck there for over an hour but its really easy in fact.

When the skulls pop up, go to a mounted machine gun and take them down. You can easily take down 2 before they close in. Maybe all of them. If one survives, grab the APC with the machine gun. The tank sucks and might destroy the vehicle.

A lot of people are enjoying the open world too. Just wish it resonated with me the same way.

Pretty much. I really can't fucking stand Afghanistan at times. Like total "this is unbelievably boring" burnout. Then I'll get sucked into a great mission and fall back in love.

It's made worse by the small base segments and more focused areas being fucking amazing and some great level design. But for every amazing base there's a 20 minute run through nothingness or a cliff I can't climb. It'd be like if Assassins Creed made parkour but without any climbing points.

If you Fulton them you get
special set of armour, same goes for every encounter with them.

Can you unlock extra outfits for DD soldiers, like the armor used during Quiet's intro onto Mother Base, or the MSF outfits used by the runaways?

Also, why are some side ops replayable (e.g. extract highly skilled soldier 02)?

Jesus christ, tried doing a side op that has you extracting a highly skilled soldier

Fulton possibility was at 90% all the time (no idea why, weather was good, it was day time etc), but I thought 90 is high enough.

Managed to extract pretty much every single OTHER soldier, but NOT the one I was supposed to. It failed.

Gotta be kidding me.

e: also I'm pretty sure I was keeping stable 60fps earlier with GTX970, but now it seems to drop to 50-55 every time there's a bunch of particle effects (sand flying around when fultoning people etc). Might have to turn HBAO+ off.

Holy shit what a fucking night. Spoilers for missions 7-8 and 11 (Russian Commanders and Tank + Commander).

First took out the Russian Commanders, tried a few times, nothing special here, eventually extracted them all. Then spent like two hours trying to do the bloody tank + commander mission - fucking up stealth at the last moment my first run and running around that mountain village knocking everybody on their arse, finally grabbing the documents, then successfully C4-ing the lot only to get shot by the tank and die. My second time around I managed to stealth everybody in the village, but I spent too long and let the tanks get past me before I could set up my traps on the pass. Had to chase them all the way to the Mountain Fort, sniped the Commander, then managed to C4 one before a sandstorm hit and I tried to pick the other off from the caverns with a 'nade launcher. Wasn't too successful but managed to draw off all the men into the caverns which allowed me to tranq the remaining dudes and C4 the last tank with the last of my C4 supplies and exfil on D-Horse.

Phew! That was enough for the night. Or so I thought. I'd go do a side-ops mission before sleepi- HOLY SHIT A SNIPER SHOT OH GOD

Then I spent like another hour in a non-lethal
sniper duel with Quiet. Holy shit that was rough, if I hadn't had regening health I'd be so dead. SHE SHOT DOWN MY GODDAMN SUPPORT CHOPPER!

Okay, I'll watch the cutscenes - oh hey, Miller's saying something about a place on the Medical Strut. Well, I'll go check - hey, what's this button?

OH GOD
WHAT wat WAT WHAT MY MIND KOJIMA WAT

...and that's how I accidentally progressed the story and stayed up a half hour later than I intended to.

Chick is for newly awakened soliders, octopus is for soldiers who use non-lethal weapons.

The idroid's encyclopedia it has a rough definition for all the codenames.

I have a question for those deep into the game-
Chapter 2
.

Regarding one of the tapes-
White Mamba 3
.

Stop reading if you haven't gotten this far.

So the African kids have gone AWOL and been brought back again, triggering the scene where Eli and mini-Mantis run off with the Metal Gear, and it's established in the third tape and the cutscene that there's a biological connection between Eli and BB. This is quite a leap from where I was at story-wise, and I thought I was paying attention to the tapes and had done a lot of side-ops too. Without going into too much detail, could you point me in the direction where this connection is first hinted at?
Any help will be appreciated. PMs welcome.

Have a jiff:

f4vlwevr

Is anyone ashamed of their words or deeds yet? When does the shame kick in?

I'm having quite a lot of fun with the game so far. Steam says I've put in 6 hours and the completion is at 3%... wow. I have a few questions.

- Is there any reward or special reason to go back to missions and do the optional objectives? Other than 100% stuff.

- When I hold up an enemy and tell them to lay down, how long until they get back up?

- Is there a mission score penalty for requesting airdrops? For example if I run out of tranq rounds or supressor. Is there a way to start a mission with more ammo?

- How do I know if a mission has a person with a special skill that I can fulton?

Anyone?

But what weaponry would you need for that?
I managed to tranq two of the Skulls in the first proper encounter at that ruin/cave site in the Honeybee mission, eventually I gave up and just went to town with grenades lol.

The encounter we are talking about, I suppose you could use the rubber bullet guns? I think this unit has a type of "rock" armour so they're tougher though. Try stun grenades and rubber bullets, but not the SMG because it's crap!

How would you adjust this without just sticking a shitload of icons everywhere, though? I kind of like the long trips to the mission area. It really feels like you are...well...going to a mission.

Copy and paste climbing points every and that would solve a huge problem I have with this. It doesn't feel like I'm going to a mission (or a legendary whatever) when I'm tracing a mountainside for 5 minutes trying to find a way to the location.

- No.
- They stay down forever unless you enter Combat status. Even during Alert status they will stay down.
- Not sure.
- You can't know to the best of my knowledge. You have to use your Scope for that and analyze them person by person.

The game desperately needs a manual save option

That would be pretty lame. I think "save anywhere" options ruin gameplay.

In other words, this game's fast travel option is terrible. Why couldn't they just use the helicopter?

This is the most fun I've had with guns it in a stealth game, I no longer feel the need to restart my checkpoint when the stealth breaks, I just roll with the punches and have fun with it.

Also the sniper rifle is so satisfying to use. Headshots feel great.

One of my favorite things to do so far is clearing bases with my bionic arm. Who needs a tranq gun? Just wait around the corner and then sprint and deliver a mega punch.

I love how fun and easy it is to scope out areas and sneak around this time. One thing that the older games didn't do well was let you plan in advance. It was pretty much run into a room, look for enemies, hide before they spot you, rinse and repeat. It's awesome how well the binocular mechanic works to scout the area and figure how to attack it.

I think after you give Eli a rematch on Motherbase, Miller will contact you later saying they can't trace his past, but he's about the same age as what the kids from Les Enfants would be now, and that not to jump to conclusions but he was going to run tests. Think there was a better explanation as to how he made the jump, but I honestly can't remember.
