What is that locked door for on the top floor of the R&D platform? It's right across the landing platform.
Also there is a locked door near the middle stairs on the main platform that is closed.

Fuck Huey. Medic Boss should have punched him in the face with his rocket arm like Kratos in GoW3.
 
Doing the extract Huey mission, my cannon overheated before I could shoot the Metal Gear away from hitting the chopper. Metal Gear blew up without me even doing anything :lol
 
I feel like the presentation would have been so much better if they got Keifer for 1 more recording session to record a few reaction lines.


Like when Quiet shoots down that plane after you recruit her and snake is just dead silent. A simple "Nice shot" or something would have made that scene less awkward.

Similar basic responses here and there would have fixed a lot and break the awkward silences.
 
I have an issue with Psycho Mantis in this game.

The whole man on fire thing makes no fucking sense. Psycho Mantis can animate him thanks to his rage, but can make the physical body of Volgin dissapear when touched by water?

Why did Volgin walk into the moving platform if Matis wanted to posses Sahelanthropus? Breaking his toy because he found a new one?
 
I wish there was a way to tell who is online when you invade FOBS. Invading ones with just NPCS is boringly easy even with high security. It's only fun playing mind games with someone else.
 
I've rarely found a character more despicable than Huey Emmerich. Everything he said or did, I found repulsive.

I didn't shoot Skull Face, partially to see what happens... So when he was left to die and Huey shot him, I thought it was out of pity - But his joyous victory chant "REVENGE!" cemented him as one of my all time most hated video game characters.

And not to mention him killing Strangelove; infecting my soldiers and putting the blame on me and so on... I just genuinely hated him.

And about the true ending - It felt rather rushed to me. Heck, whilst replaying it, they'd left in the tutorials! If that isn't an indication of it being rushed, I don't know what is. It should have been a cutscene IMO.

Did you listen to the "truth" tapes? They showed quite a different Zero there who was willing to give everything he can to protect Big Boss with the creation of the body double etc. Letting him lead FOXHOUND isn't too much of a stretch from that, honestly. But either way, it's been retconned that Zero was infected with the parasite by Skull Face and is a vegetable already by the 90s. Donald Anderson and the A.Is are in charge when Big Boss goes back to FOXHOUND now which raises even more questions for me.

Mantis doesn't control anything in the game. He is the one being controlled by others. Sahelanthropus, Volgin and Mantis were being controlled by Eli during mission 31. Eli doesn't care about Volgin so he killed him. Volgin was never really alive anyways. His body was probably just vapor ware and the electrical currents running through his brain was what reached out to Mantis in the beginning of the game.

Listen to the informant report tapes.

Huey is without a doubt the biggest piece of shit in TPP. He deserved much, much worse for the shit he did and the way he acted whilst apart of Diamond Dogs (i.e acting like the victim and blaming everyone else for the shit he caused in order to save his own ass). I would have loved nothing more than to kill him myself, but knowing he offs himself because his way more likeable son bangs his wife is more than enough for me.

Fuck Huey.

True, but it seemed more like Zero was giving BB a fighting chance, because he didn't approve of SF's action. Once he wakes up he is on his own and they will be enemies again.

Maybe you are right and Anderson allows BB to come back, not aware of BB's true motives.

Gosh i want more Metal Gear :(((
 
Alright who the fuk is Zero talking about when he says in the Boss hospital tape "I sent him to Africa. I don't think he's coming back."

He's talking about Skullface right before that so logically that's who it is, but how would Zero be giving Skullface orders after the parasite attack?

The end timeline says that Eli "escaped his handlers in Africa" which makes it sound like he was sent there by Zero, but in the context of the Boss hospital tape, that makes no sense.

I felt the same way, and then for him later in the game to say that he couldn't kill anyone really made my blood boil

Definitely talking about Skully. What I think he means is that Zero exiled Skully to Africa prior to the attack, because that's where he discovered the parasites in the first place. Further Zero also thinks Skully won't bother coming back, or at least is doing everything in his power not to let him.

I took it to mean that Skullface had been sent there and then the parasite attack happened. Sending him to Africa was in response to the Ground Zeroes incident.

Damn, I want more lore tapes. More Zero talking about Skullface and a 45 minute tape from Code Walker talking about the Cobra Unit. DLC pls.
 
Interesting comments and information made from Kojima in the collectors edition of the guide, apparently he had a big hand in making it or something. I'd love to take pictures but I don't know if it's allowed or not.

Why not just kill him? Skullface isn't immortal or very hidden. Code Talker defeated him in a tape ffs.

that's a silly nit pick. They are both 'Metal Gear Solid V'. ground zeroes is the new tanker chapter. That said, it's perfectly valid to prefer ground zeroes but your insane if your reasoning is 'i get to play as big boss and the story is better' lol the story is non existent. rescue chico and paz, get fucked over'. It's still part of the story from MGSV. the twist with the body double is STILL PRESENT at the end of ground zeroes, it's still part of the story so I guess Ground zeroes is a steaming pile of horrible shit too lol.

I'm thinking pre parasite incident, Zero just thought he was a dick but could still be useful, Post parasite Skully probably went into hiding from Cipher.

He was already in hiding during Peace Walker, that's why SF needed Paz. He was already operating through proxies. Not that difficult to order a hit on Skullface by the best mercaniea to hire for money. Hell, he could've told Big Boss about him. Why didn't anyone tell Ocelot so he could make SF and early primary target.

The weird thing is that Otacon knew the women for two years and within that time frame he had been playing House with Emma and then is banging the stepmom He was either very old playing house or very young banging his step mom.

I don't really know what was up with nobody telling Venom Zero had set shit up so that he was protected in the hospital so he didn't have to worry about Cipher really

Cleaners are not necessary killers. They try to obfuscate vital information from the public and maybe litterally cleaning some corpses away so nobody would see. But I doubt Skullface was an actual agent.

Unfortunately, Paz has bugged out on me. After giving her eight pictures the door to her room locked out in my game, the light is red now. Oh well.

You get the tape after the first cutscene though.
Also yes they work brilliantly, the soldier will just waddle over to you completely docile, ready for some CQC.
 
Man, I just realized that Parasite people makes Senator Armstrong look like a normal guy in comparison. I used to consider his abilities the height of bonkers MGS wise.

Armstrong is still absurd amounts stronger, he'd annihilate the skulls with little effort.
Heck I'd say the skulls are on the level of the regular enemies raiden fights.
