Like when Quiet shoots down that plane after you recruit her and snake is just dead silent. A simple "Nice shot" or something would have made that scene less awkward.

I've rarely found a character more despicable than Huey Emmerich. Everything he said or did, I found repulsive.

I didn't shoot Skull Face, partially to see what happens... So when he was left to die and Huey shot him, I thought it was out of pity - But his joyous victory chant "REVENGE!" cemented him as one of my all time most hated video game characters.

And not to mention him killing Strangelove; infecting my soldiers and putting the blame on me and so on... I just genuinely hated him.

And about the true ending - It felt rather rushed to me. Heck, whilst replaying it, they'd left in the tutorials! If that isn't an indication of it being rushed, I don't know what is. It should have been a cutscene IMO.

I take the FOXHOUND stuff as being retconned without it having being stated. There is no way BB would go back to work for Zero and the US, and there is no way that Zero would have allowed it.

Did you listen to the "truth" tapes? They showed quite a different Zero there who was willing to give everything he can to protect Big Boss with the creation of the body double etc. Letting him lead FOXHOUND isn't too much of a stretch from that, honestly. But either way, it's been retconned that Zero was infected with the parasite by Skull Face and is a vegetable already by the 90s. Donald Anderson and the A.Is are in charge when Big Boss goes back to FOXHOUND now which raises even more questions for me.

Mantis doesn't control anything in the game. He is the one being controlled by others. Sahelanthropus, Volgin and Mantis were being controlled by Eli during mission 31. Eli doesn't care about Volgin so he killed him. Volgin was never really alive anyways. His body was probably just vapor ware and the electrical currents running through his brain was what reached out to Mantis in the beginning of the game.

Huey is without a doubt the biggest piece of shit in TPP. He deserved much, much worse for the shit he did and the way he acted whilst apart of Diamond Dogs (i.e acting like the victim and blaming everyone else for the shit he caused in order to save his own ass). I would have loved nothing more than to kill him myself, but knowing he offs himself because his way more likeable son bangs his wife is more than enough for me.

Fuck Huey.

True, but it seemed more like Zero was giving BB a fighting chance, because he didn't approve of SF's action. Once he wakes up he is on his own and they will be enemies again.

Maybe you are right and Anderson allows BB to come back, not aware of BB's true motives.

I took it to mean that Skullface had been sent there and then the parasite attack happened. Sending him to Africa was in response to the Ground Zeroes incident.

that's a silly nit pick. They are both 'Metal Gear Solid V'. ground zeroes is the new tanker chapter. That said, it's perfectly valid to prefer ground zeroes but your insane if your reasoning is 'i get to play as big boss and the story is better' lol the story is non existent. rescue chico and paz, get fucked over'.
