"It's not fan service, it's goofy just like Metal Gear always has been."

At what point did Miller find out that Venom wasn't Big Boss?

I assumed it was a while but then surely he knew that it was the medic and not Big Boss who suffered the shrapnel and a missing arm?

its really weird because Quiet's story arc is decent, and then comes the rain

I must be the only person in the world who felt nothing for Quiet. Sure, she was a great ally that made missions a little bit too easy for my taste, but... What do we actually know about her backstory? Why should I care for her on an emotional level?

Such lust for revenge

You became a demon for such weapons as these? (or something I don't really remember)

And for serious: "I won't scatter your sorrow to the heartless sea."

that last line was great and that scene would have been excellent had it not been in the FUCKING TRAILERS.

Kojima shows you his entire hand in the trailers.

In the after credits bit.

people keep answering this question like this but everyone just wants to know when that occurs chronologically.

is WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

really the only quotable moment we got out of this game?

I won't scatter your ashes to the heartless sea.

I am Quiet. The absence of words.

Remember the Alamo

Then that part where Ocelot won't use French pronunciation.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?! sort of just sums the whole game up.

I missed all the cool Eli into stuff because when I turned up he was sleeping on the couch and I just tranq'd him in the head.

Bit of an anti-climax to say the least.

She hums a lot. Such emotion.

Thankfully I didn't watch any of the pre-release trailers, heh. I only watched the extended E3 demo and that was it. It hit me good.

That is a HUGE plot hole that I just noticed.

I'm not sure it's a plot hole, but we clearly know that Miller knows that he's a standin due to the after credits converastion, but we're lead to believe that Ocelot undergoes hypotherapy to forget the real Boss. Miller is just...a good actor?

I still want to know what the deal with his eyes was, and what the deal with code talkers warnings about him were.

Warning about embezzling GMP for burger operations.

The warning was about his hamburgers. Too many chemical additives.

But seriously, something's up with Miller that could've been explored.

Maybe he has a split personality disorder, considering his characterization darts between Good Ol' Kaz and Miserable Asshole Kaz.

Also, Chico getting a random mention about his off-screen death was strange. Felt there was potential to see him as an adult in 1984. Same with Amanda just disappearing and only being mentioned. Guess it's Nastasha Romanenko Syndrome all over again.

That makes sense. He knew from the beginning but decided to play along because he saw an opportunity to build up DD and get revenge.

There is a scene where Quiet gets the child's necklace, where it seems like Miller is thinking about Quiet's ability to heal her wounds, as if he is thinking about using the parasites to get his limbs back. You can read as much from the way he acts at the end of the cinematic.

I wonder if this is a dropped plot point that will come back eventually. Maybe he infected himself with the parasite in some way.
