I've done all the side ops and not really. They shove a chopper in the armoured unit and tank missions which constantly gets more armoured. The wandering puppets were annoying too. Easy as piss, but punching out 10 of them in each side op got annoying fast.

Shame as I kinda like the prisoner related ones.
 
the "boss fights" were pretty underwelming in comparison to the rest of the series as in most of them are optional or easy ways to cop out.

skulls encounter honey bee you can just run from them.

skulls encounter the truck with yellow cake, fulton the truck run out of the hotzone.

quiet drop a tank on her, or launcher.

metal gear encounter sneak past get to da choppah use minigun.

man on fire use a shotgun on him he falls into water reservoir lol

camo skulls sneak past them.

skulls again this one is pretty cool.

metal gear fight its cool.

chapter 2 fights repeat of them on extreme :(

on the game itself I am pretty dissapointed.
chapter 1 is basically a lot of filler content to build up your motherbase by extracting random soldiers.
chapter 2 is a repeat of filler content with no resolution.

gameplay is great though.
 
So, if Big Boss
isn't the real one
, and Snake is usually a metaphorical representation of Kojima, does it means that Kojima
really didn't work that much on the game, like Konami is implying?

Guess we'll never know. I'm selling my copy.

S-Ranks are pretty easy to get, try to unlock the Stealth Camo + The Ninja/Raiden costume ASAP for the bonus objectives, it helps a lot ! If you need help for some animals i'll post some screenshots.

Yeah, S-Ranks are easy, the side tasks too, but it's really boring. Follow that guy and listen all the conversations, rescue that prisoner... Stealth Camo & Raiden/Ninja suit helps a lot !

I just used the tranq sniper for the wandering MB soldiers. Easy as shit. I think I'm going to go for the 100%. So far, I'm enjoying doing these side ops, even if they're repetitive in concept. I tend to mix them up with play style to make them more varied.

Oh no, the wandering MB soldiers are fine. The puppets (might have a different name) are different and they keep wearing riot gear and helmets near the end.

Going for the 100% myself. Should do it this weekend if I don't get sucked back into FOB mode.

Oh. I see. Well, atleast some change to look forward to.
 
so i just finished the game with the secret ending too! I launched the game without knowing anything (i just watched the first trailer in 2013) and it was amazing!

I watched all the trailer now... who would want to get spoiled so much? you almost see every cutscene, i'm glad i didn't get anyone to spoil me

anyway, in the e3 2015 trailer, there's a cutscene where two diamond dogs are fighting, is this a cut content or did i miss it?

You need to be out GMP and low morale I think.

I think Such a lust for Revenge and its follow up is my favourite quote of this generation so far. It will be hard to top.

Its probably not intentional but the way he's been dragged away, its just too good.

Or say ground zeroes was just the fake big boss recalling the events at camp omega, and have the redone cutscenes include hayters voice, would of been better.

The gameplay of this game is great, control wise and certain mechanics, but fuck me this story and twist and the whole motherbade mechanic ( i hated it in peace walker too p.s i utterly hated peacewalker) and i cant stand miller as a character or voice actor, plus they somehow made ocelot the most boring motherfucker on the planet. I knew the game would be like this but urgh i want to like it but everything i love about metal gear seems to be sucked out of it, the game is good but not as a metal gear game.



EDIT: am i missing something, wtf happens with eli/liquid and the huge fucking mech sword missile rock blowing 200 feet tall super dumb metal gear.
 
finished the game. could see the ending coming a mile ago. not sure what else to think about, could be cool if you don't see it coming, otherwise it's just meh. anyway, gameplay is king and this was probably my game of the year so far.
 
Someone help me out here

I've disposed of any nukes I have but my FOB always says I have 4. I'd like to get rid of them because no one is invading my FOB and i like fighting people off. Is there a different option for FOBS?

Also ...

How come they put their entire faith into some random dude, that he could become Big boss ? Like how would they know he would make the right decisions, and how in hell could they know he would be as "amazingly godlike" at CQC and stealth ?

Or that he would sound the exact same ?

Seriously i'm not buying this shitty twist. I have nothing against it in theory, but it was handled far too poorly for me to accept it :/ .

You can do the mission fast for S-Rank and then do it again for the mission tasks.
 
Finished the game. What a fucking awful "truth". Very very bad closure for the MGS series. I am furious right now. Not even a proper boss fight. The final mission is the tutorial again, SERIOUSLY?
Fuck this shit.
Fuck it.

Fuck you Konami. Should have called the game something else and swapped out the Character names, nobody would have even noticed it should have been a MGS game.


I can compare it with Dragonball. It has more filler than Dragonball Z and a worse ending than GT.

I think they should have done that, yeah.

But then reveal it was an MGS game all along and he was the boss. It would have had even better reactions from some people.

The mission design in this game is so flawed.
S Ranking is so easy if you just ignore the side objectives, what incentive is there to even do the side objectives ? (Be it the first time around when you have to discover them or second time around when you know what they are but they are better left alone if you want S rank).

I mean what do I get from extracting these other people/stuff or blowing something up? I get no benefit of it in the following missions because they never affect anything outside of that particular mission or even within that mission. I dont see more Intel or advantage in the following missions that I otherwise won't have if I dont capture/destroy that key secondary target. And if ranking is my goal then they are even less important.
