Kinda what was already said, the dash in the middle of the charge doesn't eat the charge, and you can continue and finish the charge right after the dash iirc.

I like "A Friend Indeed" haha

Why does everybody just give random special moves to characters for their theory v-skills? Tthe only character that has a returning move as a v-skill is Cammy, right? Everybody else gets cool new abilities.

I'm not certain on how that works tbh. I believe the dash forward counts as part of the ultra motion or something? I'm not too sure, since I never really messed around with charge characters in SFIV outside of harassing people with Blanka Balls.

Anyways, here's an example of some of the stuff charge partitioning let's you do in SF3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJQf61mvyWo

There's another great video out there visualizing charge partioning for doing Remy's fireball spam in SF3 (he has two fireballs, one for the punch buttons another for the kick buttons), but I can't find it at all.

I consider myself relatively new and decent at best, but even I can pull that off consistently (can't follow it up or do anything fancy though). I don't see the point of taking it out: if you can count a charge and do the motion, you can charge partition.

Because everyone wants the 3S characters to have access to multiple supers/tech, but they only get 1.

Ken gets a glorified version of a normal for his V-Skill.

don't go for 'easy.' there's only really a few super technical characters you might need to avoid out of a whole cast, so just play someone you like and stick with it until you get the hang of things. or maybe you should be more specific about what you mean by easy? inputs? gameplan? combos?

You have to admit, teleport would be perfect for Dhalsim.

Not feeling kens run at all after seeing rasheed. He seems very similar to his SFV incarnation with some 3s thrown in, would have preferred a roll and a will dearly miss Kara throw and Kara srk

I wonder what the total start up on his step kick is now having to do it out of the run. and yeah, with Rasheed having a run option (yes, I know it's ~different~) I'm even more underwhelmed by his V-skill. I just can't wrap my head around how they're going to balance it to not just be gimmicky.

Yeah, his V-Skill is basically a run that can end a kick or not, right? They should add something to that.

unless I see it not being jabbed out of, its gimmicky lol. Right now ita being used as a run mixup and extended low forward from mid screen. Its either going to be godlike or a gimmick, I don't see the balance.
Why? He already has a command for those. Besides, he just gets to build v-gauge by teleporting? And he has 8 versions in 4, you gonna nerf the variations?

I'm not a fan of using pre-existing moves on v-skills. I wanna see new stuff.
I would take away his teleport and give more mobility like Necro. And also give him a bunch of Necro's moves.

Because it would create a strategic dilemma about whether to play keep away or mix up fireballs with v-meter building.

It's easy to give 8 versions. Directional input + MP + MK. Duh.

He could build less V-gauge than some other techniques, like how they toned Ryu's gains a lot in the Gamescom build.

If it isn't the teleport, it will be Yoga Tower. Dhalsim already has a perfectly full moveset. You couldn't give him anything else worthwhile and balanced.

This I should have phrased it better. Basically if Alex gets in and he has the same moveset was he a difficult fighter to learn?

It all depends on how good you are at mix-ups and pressure. He's as much of a grappler as he is a charge character, but his game is built around using all his tools to wear down and fake out the opponent.
