Destiny - The Taken King |OT| Time to Explain

Suros weapon pack weapons are level 30 weapons, you probably won't even need them once you start the taken king quest line. They can be found in the tower, as soon as you land turn right passed the cryptarch, up the steps, head to the hanger, the robot opposite of the dead orbit faction leader, he is at a table. He also has material exchange there as well.

There's nothing there though. I don't even think they packed in the Suros code in my game. All it says is early access pack and it's just 3 guns. I want the other stuff. The Suros red stuff that all pre-orders should have gotten, the emote, shader and the weapons. Should I contact Amazon?

But but, I have both and the suros shader looks so damn purdy on my hunter.

Yeah. I'd never found a nice red/white shader before. My Hunter looks glorious now, especially with my nice new shoulder length cloak.

The Founders shader just looks like another Thunderdevil.

Weird I purchased the Limited Edition of Destiny at launch and have had all the expansions since then. But never was able to play them. But still owned them and I didn't get the ability to start Veterans Tour from Commander Zavala

Dont get me wrong, my warlock looks absolutely amazing in all Black/Gray but its just my hunter is my one female character and the red just looks so much better. Think I'm going to go dead orbit on my titan so I can get their pretty black/white weapons

Warlock is the master race. Don't let him confuse you.

Plus now we're rocking the whole palpatine thing

So what is everyone doing with their old exotics and legendarys? Not sure if I should dismantle because I'm starting to get weapons with more attack.

So why am I not getting the veteran tour quest or whatever? Do you have to own TTK? I don't own it but I thought this was something I could do without owning it but the quest doesn't show up for any of my characters.

Anything I'm doing wrong?

You need to own TTK to do the quest.

VIP 'Founders Fortune' rewards will be distributed in the Tower (Requires The Taken King)

You can get the items sans Ghost Shell from their respective kiosks tho

That's just Destiny.

Not that it excuses it, but it's what most people have come to expect at this point.

I might just skip this entire franchise, i got screwed already with the Limited Edition that came with the game and 2 dlc's, I din't even bother with the Crota dlc. I'm going to wait on more reviews but so far, i think i am more inclined to just let this game go and never bother with it again.

I keep hearing that The Taken King has "ALLOT!" or reused assets. Many quests take you back to the old zones.
IDK but it seems to have "ALLOT!" of new assets. Every quest/mission I've played thus far flows nice within the context of the story. Really impressed.

Dreadnought is amazing.

Some old exotics can be upgrade to Year 2.

Old Legendaries seem worthless, aside from any sentimental value you might have. Unless I hear a good reason not too, I'm going to clear out my vault and scrap all my old Legendaries for parts.

Im keeping my raid items, as they have special abilities for the raids, and a couple of my old exotics for crucible, along with some crucible weapons, otherwise the rest is trash.

This has captured the Halo magic all over again. The battles rival that of Halo 3, if not more intense. I am in love all over again!

People are saying to open the game case
Do that. Finally got home to take a look at what I had. The TDB, HOW, Weapons Pack, and Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade are all on one piece of paper inside the case. Run that everything will download/install. You're good to go. Just have a 17GB download ahead of you. Once you do that, everything you need will show up at the postmaster and Vanguard bot in the Hangar.

Man, I totally psyched myself out for nothing! Oh, well, at least it helped pass the time at work.

I wanted to dominate the living room. Then I took an ESRAM in the knee.
The "Paradox" mission is no joke. Almost beat it, but then I jumped blinded and backwards into the abyss... Either it's meant to be challenging or meant to be played by a fireteam. Or both.

Thanks! One more question, do radiant and ascendant mats have a use anymore? If not what can I do with them? I just got a bunch from my old legendary stuff.

Not that it excuses it, but it's what most people have come to expect at this point.

Which is sad btw, i think it has as much recycled stuff as it does new. Not nearly as bad as the Dark Below in that regard, but def more than I'd like. Why can't we have all new areas for each planet or all new enemies that are not fancy reskins with a new ability?

I'm enjoying the Taken King, but I feel the overwelming praise for it is weird and somewhat troubling.

What's the best way to spend glimmer? I hit the cap and have no idea what to do with it other than buying shitty ships or green weapons that nobody wants.

That mission is fucking hard. I beat it solo earlier, but there were so many times I was a sliver away from dying.

I'd be in the dick
Just beat the first mission. Holy shit guys, *tear*, Destiny is finally out of beta.
Every single person I know, myself included, has thought "this is what Destiny should have been" after that mission. It's so good. Great atmosphere, proper sense of progression through the space, combat encounters with some real thought put into them, no Ghost hacking, and a real sense of danger in the Taken introduction.

Is there a starting level requirement for The Taken King? I beat the mainline quest, played a decent amount of multiplayer and did some side quests, but did not play the other two DLCs.

There are all new areas for the planets you return to. There are all new areas entirely.

Ive played up to the end and i have seen parts of old areas in most, if not every mission, in the planets you return to. Yes they expand on them and add a good amount, but it would have been better with all new stuff.

I remain so confused by this game.

I had the vanilla disc and bough the digital version that came with all 3 expansions.

Is Dark Below really only like 5 missions that ended with that weak raid?

Is the 2nd expansion even worth playing through now? I'm level 34 and all the missions are for like 10+ below me.

I just salvaged most of my old gear. Was that dumb? I got exotic shards and whatever the legendary rare material is.
