Also, the community thread is used heavily for grouping up, you'll get a party together in no time if you swing by.
Unless you're on Xbox of course lol
How easy/hard will the old raids be if done at max level? I quit before I ever tried the first raid and would like to experience them semi-legitimately before moving on to the newest one.
First two raids will be hilariously easy. New one...well we don't know yet lolHow easy/hard will the old raids be if done at max level? I quit before I ever tried the first raid and would like to experience them semi-legitimately before moving on to the newest one.
No, you can turn them in from the menu screen nowSo do you still have to turn in bounties or is it automatic?
Hit x or a on then in the menuSo do you still have to turn in bounties or is it automatic?
Hell yeahs!Hit x or a on then in the menu
Damn the haters are going to have a hard time moaning about story.
Well done bungie, stealth mission in particular was great.
Lovin it
Just beat the story, I want to say it took 4-5 hours for us, I'm still not at level 40 and we started at level 34
Seems pretty light for a 40 dollar price tag.
Strikes, loot, raids, leveling new subclasses, daily missions, weekly missions....a lot of new content here.Seems pretty light for a 40 dollar price tag.
Play the first mission then go to your vanguard for the questSo when do I get to unlock the new subclass?

I haven't been following The Taken King too closely, because I've been busy with other games. I have two questions as a result:
1) I'm waiting for my local library to get a copy in, because I wasn't the biggest fan of Destiny. I played through it then sold it.
If I get the Taken King physical version from the library, will I have to reinstall it all from scratch? Or will it still use the install from the base game, which I kept?
2) How long is the campaign content supposed to be?
Strikes, loot, raids, leveling new subclasses......a lot of new content here. Destiny isn't only about the campaign. That's where you start really.
They both increase but dead point only increases by halfQuestion: If I sign up with Dead Orbit etc, will this prevent my Vanguard level increasing when I do Vanguard missions. Or to both increase together?
This. There's 2 missions after the campaign that I find to be really fun and there's a lot more quests that I haven't even touched. And after the final cinematic plays suddenly there are even MORE campaign quality missions to be sent on through quests. It's awesome.
Both increase. Your faction increases half as much as vanguard I believe.Question: If I sign up with Dead Orbit etc, will this prevent my Vanguard level increasing when I do Vanguard missions. Or to both increase together?
I can't launch Destiny since I need the update that came out today. But the update has been stuck at preparing to download at 90% for 5 minutes. What gives?! PSN or my internet as the issue?
I've definitely beaten the first mission and have visited the Vanguard folk. I don't remember getting any quest though.Play the first mission then go to your vanguard for the quest
There'll be no playing from the library, all versions are vanilla destiny, TTK is always a code in the box as it is download only and as per DLC restrictions the library cannot reuse the code over and over.
TTK story looks to be a few hours, destiny campaign from scratch now start to finish, probably about 10 hours if you rush
Is anyone's light level fluctuating without changing gear? Sometimes it says I'm 183 and sometimes 179.
I'd love to hear some examples of how the new missions are better than the old. Are they more of the same hit a button and kill waves and bullet sponge bosses you shoot at then take cover and repeat?
What specifically has changed?
Nope, nothing. Could just be general weirdness.Did you change your gun?
Wow - bought the game on disc and it'll take me 15 hours to install the update?! Jesus H Christ PSN, what the hell.
Also, thanks Activision for just throwing in the old Destiny disc and not bothering to press a new version with at least part of that update included.
After you finish the game you get a quest that takes you through the VoG. So anyone that never got a chance to raid it will get to see it. It's a really fun quest. Challenging alone too around level 210.
