I play on X1, so I never really knew what Hawkmoon was capable of. I got one today, and I took it into Crucible after spamming MOL on it to max it out.
That gun is really something. I dread to think of what will happen after Xur sells it (heaven forbid he ever does).
I just realized I haven't run any of those Strikes. I'd assume Will of Crota is absent because it's absolutely terrible, but I can't think of a reason for why the other three are. It's probably just confirmation bias, but it may be a bug.

I've gotten a few year 1 strikes, but none of those three.
I've got pretty much every exotic in the game now and as of a few minutes ago not patched. However I'd say it's safe to assume bungie has locked up the heavy exotics for now as out of over 40 exotic engrams I farmed ZERO were heavy engrams. Plus I've run two nightfalls and done half the raid and not seen one heavy exotic drop at all. Light lvl 297/285 currently.

Played normal strikes with 3oC, no dice. Tried Draksis with 3oC, brand new 4th Horsmen on first try.

Oh I am. It's not exactly the same. For one thing it's not a map pickup. You just need ammo. Also, you can block with it as you approach so there were multiple instances where I was dumping into a dude and he just shrugged it off then one shot me. I'd also say the attack pattern of the halo sword was more predictable. There was a certain lunge to it you could anticipate. Haven't picked up anything like that on this sword yet. Hopefully I will.

Good points, didn't factor in the block. 1 v 1 you can only really hope to trade with your own. Maybe a hunter can lockdown a sword wielder, not sure. Too early to tell how it'll shake out.

The best advice I can offer is to shoot them with a gun. Preferably in the head.
All joking aside, most sword wielders seem to get really confused when you jump. Simply going airborne makes you really hard to target. Running away as well. If you can make some distance between you and a sword-wielder, it's surprisingly easy to deal with them. Typically you can run into a group of allies who will either die or deal with him, but generally I find just making distance is the best solution.

Some drops are weird.
I got like 2 Invective, 2 Fourth Horseman and 2 Ahamkara Grasps.
For the rest Hawkmoon, Telesto, Hereafter. I only had about 50 strange coins, but still quite a big haul from that tiny amount imo. I don't have TTK yet so can't use them, but its always handy to have this stuff in advance.

Is 300 defense the maximum for a non-raid piece of gear? Got a 300 chest piece from a NF, and if 300 is the highest it can roll into I'll save the legendary and rare engrams for my alts.

I realized something today, doing the stupid PVP related quests pretty much suck the life and fun out of PVP, they force you to use a spec/weapon/skill to do stuff and then you either drag your team down or just get frustrated.
I said fuck it and dropped them all and my scores went back up drastically. Screw the Last Word and screw needing knife kills when I want to be a bow hunter lol

Yeah, the first 10 or so exotics I got had the same gloves drop 3 times. Out of the runs i did i think 5 ended up being double exotic drops (as in, 2 exotics from 1 kill).
Good stuff, really helped out getting that lightlvl up, now i just need to finish the quests and stuff
Oh, and 1 lvl away from lvl 25 dead orbit, got 2 shades in the last 2 levels so it's been a really good Destinyweek for me!

Can't find a decent Reddit thread or anything that sums up stuff.
I am already a bit lost anyway. I bought the legendary edition with the day 1 dlc, and I put in all the codes but kinda lost where to find the new weapons in game.
I had some stuff at the postmaster but I clicked through it really quickly to meet up with a friend. I thought I picked up some items but I don't see anything in the Vault...
Also, if there are any players out there looking to do the older content please send me a friend request at CometJP.
The art director at my company also wants to the older raids but has never been able to find people to play it with. He only speaks Japanese so he has never been able to play with others really. I am willing to be translator xD

Wait, Black Garden are the 3 Ultras? Can they all drop gold orbs?
The missions are all open and accessible (I used the spark gimmick to boost character B to 24)--just no quest item/marker in the quest menu.
Not sure i'd suicide after the first, pop a coin, kill, suicide etc.
There are chests that don't require keys.
You're asking on pretty much the worst day possible, the brand new raid has just been released. Nobody wants to do VOG at the moment. You're best asking in a week or two.

So I've got 16 completed bounties saved up and a Focused Light sitting in my inventory, and I've been holding off on turning them all in because I didn't want to rush my progression through TTK's story missions. I'm level 36 now and only a few missions into TTK, should I just do it?

Because if you kill 3, it means you pop only once per 3 kills. It probably wouldn't save time but it would save items.

The strike with the big Shank as the final boss and the hallways with the laser beams (forget the name) is a really great level.
This really is becoming the most fun fps in years for me. And just in general, one of the most fun social/multiplayer experiences as well.

It also just has fantastic tight shooting mechanics.
Like,the shooting is so good, yesterday at a Raid boss I had to hit this weakpoint,right? And it was kinda obscured by these things so I could barely hit it from the side. But I could actually put single shots through the tight gaps between those things and they registered proper instead of the things just having one big hitbox.

Did 15 ToC and got 1 exotic chest piece out of it. So I spent as much as I would have for an engram from Xur anyways lol.
I just started playing destiny 2 weeks ago. I have all 3 expansions.
I love the game. I found the alpha boring, but destiny 2.0 is great fun.. Even for an old single player guy like me. So buy if you enjoy great fps games.
