Do you know if this is the mission where you have to branch out towards a faction?

I'm trying to find a point in my saves where the story is right in the middle, so I can replay each side from there and get all the faction achievements instead of starting completely over.

Yeah make your save point here for achievements. Molecular Level seems to have a couple follow up missions specific to each faction that all lead to one mission later, but those follow up missions have achievements. But for example, the Minute Men do not have anymore achievements past Old Guns which can be done before Molecular Level. So finishing the game with Minute Men can be done off of a save that's still way later on while chosing a different faction for Molecular Level.

I'd honestly just refer everyone to ps3trophies. Fallout 4 Trophy Guide.

For achievement purposes you actually only have to finish the game once. So deciding where to save by that guide is purely for achievement purposes (miss-able missions). Mass Fusion is the first mission I played that actually caused me to fail other faction missions, so as far as getting endings its fine to do anything up until there.

Got it from a legendary deathclaw.

Damn, the only one I have seen so far was the scripted one.

Is there any armor better than the vault jumpsuit that you can put layered armor on?

Minute Man suit, Road Leathers, Athletic Suit, and other obvious under garment gears. If you want some resistance to radiation I'd keep the blue suit I guess. There is a full suit you get in a lab dungeon quest that let's you basically fully resist radiation.

You can have Master level on both by level 18 in Lock Picking and level 21 in Science. The >40 level perks to those are just boosts to the ability like never breaking bobby pins, etc.

aah, that's a good point, but don't really think it hurts my argument

the magazines in fo4 also do different stuff, like increasing the sweet spot in lockpicking, which is similar to these boosts, so they also cannot help to gradualize more the level up of these skills

honestly it would all be solved if they had split some of the perks in half, and gave you two perks per level up, but would prolly be too complicated

also, unrelated: Why do people think lockpicking and hacking is useless? How would you get into master locks and terminals without it? I dont understand. CAn someone explain?

I have both up to 3 out of 4 and I enjoy cracking terminals and locked doors, and it helps in getting the goodies, but I have found that I very often come across a door that is locked, has a terminal nearby but then there is also a giant hole in the wall that leads into that and room the door and terminal are blocking. Like wtf is that.

Re: Museum of Witchcraft quest

I'm doing this quest where i'm supposed to enter a Museum of Witchcraft, but the problem is that there's this Savage Deathclaw in the museum roaming around spreading terror and fear. I get beaten to a pulp almost instantaneously by this beast. Does anybody have any tips for defeating this monstrosity. Even the Fat Man doesn't do the trick. I've tried frag mining the entire place but i still can't manage to kill it. I'm level 19. Would the Power Armour do the trick?

Run back towards the stair case room, it doesn't fit through the door and resets to the middle of the room if it can't reach you. Then you just play peek-a-boo.

Nah it's awesome.

i guess this is why i dont melee in this game. The animation looks ass. No satisfaction killing ppl whatsoever.

Base building is way too fucking addictive. This happens to me with all games like this. I spent more time making armor and weapons in ESO than actually doing quests. I'm spending more time tweaking Sanctuary than exploring in Fallout 4.

I wished they patched a creative mode like in minecraft in. Probably for 5 bucks as DLC.

Do companions drain Fusion Cores when wearing PA?

I figured with 10 PA suits laying around it might be worthwhile to just have a bunch of companions wear them and tear shit up.

Thanks!

I'll be using this guide.

Can I do quests for all the factions before I advance the main quest more? , I wanna get the trophies out of the way, And then I can commit to whichever faction I like the most.

So my first town has like 12 or 13 people living in it but I don't see the new people, I ring the bell and not everyone shows up. So does this mean that the population becomes figurative at a certain point and the game only holds a certain amount of people in the town who are shown?
Cows are also people
I think

What pickpocket level do I need to be able to remove the powercore off an enemy with power armor? I feel like it'd likely be the highest one that lets you remove equipped items but maybe it isn't since the fusion core is more like ammo than anything.

I can never find enough fucking adhesives god damn.

You can make your own with vegetable starch if you have a settlement and have the right vegetables.

man when you go to a clerly high level zone and youre caught off guard because youve been cruising... feelsgood(bad)

Lucky, i lack frames but not parts. They're are random raiders in the wasteland wearing power armor. Kill them and you can loot the pieces but can't get their frames.
bah so the only armor you can find is the ugly raider one and the random frames with random pieces of power armor on it?

So far the only one I've found, . Might be more, I've only been exploring the top quadrant of the map and haven't even done the quest line past diamond city

I've spent a few hours fine tuning a couple settlements, but I eventually give up because there's no real pay off in doing so besides your own self satisfaction. Which is cool for some people, but I eventually get the feeling I'm wasting my time when there's still so much more of the game I've yet to see and do.

So I think it's a somewhat worthwhile complaint about the whole system. They really over do it with the settlement system. I think there's way too many of them and when it comes down to it there's not a whole lot there mechanically in game.

What's the rush to discover the whole game? I don't understand. Take your time if you want, the game isn't going anywhere.

What the hell people want a direct reason to build settlements? They want a direct reward out of it? What is here a fine, it's just a side feature. You can grow at town build a community trade with the characters that come in, build stores etc. Sometimes you get to run in and help the settlers fend off enemies. You can also find and unlock new objects to build by getting magazines. The hell do people mean you get nothing out of it? It's Fallout with a side of Animal Crossing.

Yea it's crazy. Hope to see you in the settlement thread :)

Oh good, that's literally the only thing that fucks my mod shit up.

see for me it's fiber glass. But luckily I have now upgraded the armor pieces I'll likely keep till endgame unless there's better armor type out there (I always assumed Synth Armor is the highest 'level' in the game).

I'm completely out now though. Leveling up a weapon of mine took the last three of mine. I already know what has it though so I always pick up those junk items with priority. An upside of not selling everything I own is that I always break them apart.

Up to the main quest where you have to build the
Molecular Relay
but it's bugged out on me, and that made me lose interest in the game so great.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo

err all the settlements you build, the stashes are actually full of materials O_o

also Hancock just said something about there being treasure in Jamaica Plains when I went there, but didnt open any quest or anything, whats that about?

Welp. Just learned there are different variations of every type of armor. Up to a 'heavy'

Fuck me. Here I thought I had finally reached a point I no longer had to worry about keeping materials for armor working. Fuck. Well regardless I'm always picking up junk but now it seems like I have to genuinely start using my companions as carriers for extra junk when I find it.

If you're getting into armor modding, prepare to pick up every single piece of leather equipment that you can find (leather is hardly ever found outside of scrapping attire and is needed even if you're modding metal shit).

You can find a full set (frame included) for the T-45, T-51, T-60, and X-01 on the game but otherwise you have to randomly acquire other frames and pieces.

What do you mean? Like when plant Melon you actually get Melon in the stash right?

I already have like a huge collection of leather that's not my worry. But I now assume my end game armor will end up being fully modded heavy leather (assume it's the lightest of the armor types) assuming it doesn't negatively affect stealth.

I just got a Double Barreled Shotgun that doesn't need to be reloaded.

I don't think I need to explain to anyone who ridiculously overpowered that gun is. I named it "Destroyer of Worlds" and locked it in a safe.

I love naming weapons haha.

Laser Rifle is "Laser Girl" and Laser Pistol is "Laser Boy" :)

I did this quest last night. Only died once.

there was a dead soldier with a missle launcher in the back of the first floor. Grab that and back into the doorway leading to the basement. He can't fit though there. Let him walk away, shoot him and then back info the door again.
