Why did I go forward with my family's idea to see it Friday morning instead of Thursday night. WHYYYYYYY!?

At least we'll beat the crowds, but I think we'll also miss out on a lot of good vibes in the theater.

If you want "good vibes", you could watch Friday evening.

But I have a feeling Friday morning is going to be filled up just the same anyway.

Had to see this at the Alamo Drafthouse, so I won't be going until Sunday afternoon. Going to be so, so worth it though. Can't wait!

No leaks or hints or people who saw this to know if its great,or just good or what...? kinda surprised, unless most people dont really want to know or get spoiled,(not by the story and all but just if its good).

EDIT: Just saw the spoiler thread lol...

The original trilogy were never referred to by their episode numbers until the prequels were released. I wouldn't worry about it. They only major change to the presentation that I'm expecting is maybe no more wipes. I'm okay with that.
I'm not okay with that. I expect wipes!

When Phantom Menace came out, did people know Palpatine was the Emperor from the other movies?

I did, but I can't remember how I knew. I think I might've read a special issue of a magazine that explained a lot of little details throughout the OT (this was around the time of the Special Edition VHS release) and that included the Emperor's name.

So by the time TPM came around, I knew Senator Palpatine would become the Emperor - that Darth Sidious thingie didn't fool me at all! :P

EDIT: I was a kid and I didn't know about the existence of the EU at all back then, anyway.

Really looking forward to this, I do honestly think it's going to be brilliant and a great early Xmas present.

Got my IMAX tickets booked for Sunday (can't make it before because of work and family things) but it will give me time to rewatch episode 1-6 again, each night this week.

This is why I have to go to the film alone.

This will be me opening night.

Yes. ALL OF MY YES!

And if it's good, man when they cut to the end credits and that music too... Fuck.

doooooOOOOOOODODO DODO DODO DODO naaaaa na nananaNAAAAAnaaa nananaNAAAAAna...

you get the picture.

O yeah that is also beauty. Also, not seeing "Directed by George Lucas" will the pinnacle of that.

I was thinking "What the hell is Yub Nubs? I don't remember that..."
Went to the thread, saw specialized version and was like, HA THAT'S WHY!

Just because.

When I play this in my head there is no huge score, I hope the fight is just brutal and not hopeful, just the sound of the wind, lightsabers and reactions, maybe finn breathing super heavy.

I knew I felt a disturbance...like a million voices cried out...and were silenced. :p Should have stopped by!

It sucks we may be moving by necessity soon. I really really don't want to move to SoFlo, but I might be forced to.

We actually stopped at that Mexican place off the exit and the motherfuckers were closed!

You know how earlier someone posited the idea that the line in LA wasn't really so much about camaraderie and experiencing the warm fuzzies of fandom, but was more about being visible and present so Lucasfilm would basically HAVE to invite them all to the premiere or risk looking like big meanies?

Well, I still don't know if that was the actual premise behind the line

But that's what just happened.

I'd be okay if it was just this again.

Thats too grandiose for this I think, if its a mauling, which I hope it is, I hope the music disappears, almost like Finn realises how fucked he actually is, its not a fair fight, there is no comeback, he is justy plainy, utterly, screwed.

Of course this is reading huge amounts into it based on two shots we have had from it in trailers.

I guess it all paid off! Who said lining up early was ever dumb!
