The more trailers I watch the more I think this movie gonna be a total piece of shit, successful shit though.
People really thought it was going to end up like Green Lantern and be the start of Marvel's downfall. LOL I don't understand where these wacky declarations come from.
Eh... there's a distinctly shitpost-y feel to some of the stuff here. Not to say there aren't valid criticisms, but when you get stuff like "DCEU DEAD ON ARRIVAL" or "BATMAN LOOKS LIKE A FAT COSPLAYER", it screams of... well..
But again, Marvel threads aren't without the same shittiness.
So I said show me a thread as bad as a BvS or SS thread (Note: This does not exclusively mean a trailer thread) and the only one that gets posted is a thread that blatantly ignores the criteria of said request.
It's not about Marvel vs DC. It's about GAF vs DC in a way. Why? That should seem like a really stupid fucking thing to say. However, everywhere else most of what has been released for both Batman v Superman AND Suicide Squad has been met with good to high praise. It's LOWEST form came about with Trailer #2. And not because it was bad (as a lot of the usual posters in these threads would have you believe) but because it may have showed too much. Which is an absolutely valid thing to say. I don't care if you prefer Marvel or prefer DC or like both or hate both or whatever. I rummage through a fuckton of forums and nowhere else have I seen such a blatant pessimism and negative outlook for a DCEU project as I have here on GAF and MAYBE YouTube (but we all know YT is a cesspool anyway).
I'd like to see a Marvel movie thread that showcases concept art, a casting, a director, a rumor, a release date, an interview, etc, etc, where the thread turned into a shit show on the same level as an equivalent thread for a DC movie.

Not all DC threads are pessimistic.
And DC don't handle their media in the same way as Marvel, so you aren't going to get the same kinds of threads, but here's an example of the BvS thread positive about things relating to the film. When it's warranted you definitely see positivity. Perhaps there is a baseline negativity but that isn't for no reason; had Man of Steel been amazing it's doubtful you'd see as much scepticism regarding its sequel.

I never said there weren't any good BvS threads. The Community thread is great. Real conversations are had there all the time. We discuss hopes for the movie, fears, light concerns, heavy expectations, etc. Blah, blah, blah. Just as I have seen some bad MCU threads (like the Ant-Man posted above). My point stands though that BvS and SS are met with much more vitriol over trivial things. "Batman's voice sucks so this movie will bomb" posted over and over and over. I've seen trolls in Marvel threads and it may rile up a page or two but then the thread calms down and goes back to business. This thread will never recover. Nor has any BvS thread in a long while.
Edit: I'm browsing that Ant-man thread again (seriously, it's good for a laugh). I noticed a lot of the blatantly silly posts now have "Banned" underneath the poster's name. There are some that remain but I know some of those guys have been banned and unbanned since then. Anyway, I think Ant-Man was kind of a special case because of that Edgar Wright nonsense. I remember GAF not taking that news too well despite that being the right call by Marvel.
The thread won't 'recover' because this is the thread. The negative opinion isn't some dissenting one, and it isn't the opinion of the 'trolls'. It's the common opinion, it seems.
So enjoy the community thread but understand that these threads are negative for a good reason. The positive BvS threads show that it isn't an irrational anti-DC bias - the opinions that the footage gets are the opinions it has earned.
As you have said people might have been banned and unbanned. The people who are banned in that thread were probably banned for things they said in different, more recent threads.
What Justice League at this point? Batman is retired and nobody else is known publicly. Although I got to give a general point for Bizarro because Superman is shown standing behind Lex in the Trailer when he does the Doomsday thing. Seems a bit odd. But then again, maybe it's out of context and Lex is doing pancakes or Facebook.
Except it's not. Seriously, go outside of GAF. Go hit GFAQs, IGN, reddit, SHH, CBM, YouTube, IMDB, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Responses are mostly positive. Yea, you got some trolls and some people who don't like what they saw but it is by far the minority. If the majority opinion was so bad the movie would not be neck and neck (mostly outpacing) in anticipation with Civil War. The evidence is all around so saying something like "It's the common opinion" is ignorant at best.

This kind of theory/rumor is getting ridiculous at this point. I mean we've had;
-the joker isn't the joker, but robin.
-superman isn't superman, but bizarro.
-doomsday isn't doomsday, but kinda...

I'm sorry but the clip just does not work. Cavill's lines look dubbed and Batman's line is just fucking cheesy.

It's as simple as accepting that not everyone is enthusiastic about the film. If only 2 of the BvS threads are positive then maybe it's because only two deserved that reaction? Or is the conspiracy theory that Marvel fans are seeking to flood GAF with negative BvS opinions because ... reasons. Well, I'm a huge DC fan, and a bigger Batman fan. If BvS is the greatest movie I'll ever watch it would make me immensely happy. So where do my negative opinions come from? Spoiler:
It's disappointment, and compound disappointment as so much of what I see about the film misses the mark (IMO)
So my advice is accept it for what it is. I have to deal with disappointing footage and you have to deal with disappointing threads.

They reap what they sow. Affleck fits the physicality of Batman/Bruce perfectly but his voice was always going to be a problem for a naturally intimidating performance, which is a defining Batman characteristic. Affleck's voice has very little presence.
Now he just sounds like a giant lumbering robot because Zack Snyder probably thinks the deeper something gets the more fierce it is. lol.
and yeah does Cavill even want to be there? if i wasn't looking at his face i'd imagine him doing a massive eye roll as he was reading those lines. sounded like cold reads to be honest.

In regards to your spoiler you can't say "misses the mark" when you can't even tell me what the "mark" is like I asked you before. If the "mark" is something you like well that's pretty damn vague as that could be a very specific thing that maybe only you would care about.
I wasn't kidding when I say have him dubbed by Kevin Conroy while in the suit. You could easily hand wave it with advanced voice altering technology. Afflecks normal voice should be fine for Bruce.

it'd be a lil weird because they talk so wildly differently; and not just pitch. Kevin has very sharp diction and a distinct intonation to his voice, he's a seasoned voice actor and it shows in the way he speaks.
but i do see what you're saying since they're basically replacing Affleck's voice anyways. I don't think heavy vocal filters or ADR is a good choice in general though.
Because Superman just flew off and he's watching him go, obviously.

Nolan's Batman must always have a sore throat. This version of his voice makes more sense to me.
He was hardly going to say it while Superman was there. He had to make sure he was really out of earshot first.
He'd get the shit beaten out of him otherwise.

The scene is also supposed to show a conflict between the two and it does that wonderfully.
Yea, Superman just told him to quit fuckin' around. If Batman had said "You will!" right to his face I think Superman would have just taken him right then and there and left him at the police station unconscious.

I'd argue the teaser pre-fight bat signal showdown did a better job. Even the desert Batman mask removal. Those portrayed an animosity.
I wouldn't say this shows conflict as much as it shows a 'sizing up', where they're not sure if they need to punch each other yet. It's probably better in the context of the movie but it doesn't work for me as a 30 second clip.

Cavill's hairline, lol he should be playing Lex Luthor instead! Ben Affleck is so fat, how does he even move ? Deadpool is so much better and will crush this in Box Office, 100 %. Trust me, I am an expert on that too.
