Here's how I predict it'll go:
1. Game starts 15 years ago. We learn about childhood Noctis, his special promise with Luna, and see Noctis's accident/near death experience where he breaks his arm and we first see his power.
2. Cut to present. Gameplay begins. Noctis and his buddies take the car so Noctis can meet up with Luna. On the way, Promoto makes a mistake and the car gets wrecked and they end up in Duscae. Around this time the shit goes down with Nifelheim and Lucis at the faux signing ceremony.
3. Once they learn Lucis has been overcome and the crystal has been taken, they hit the road, and the core events of the game begin.

Niflheim is the empire trying to take over the kingdom of Lucis.. and the whole peace accord is just a lie to get in Insomnia where they hold the crystal.. Luna is from another place (Tenebrae) that Niflheim has already conquered.
Luna is from tenebrae, bit since tenebrae was capture by the Niflheim empire (becoming an imperial state) and she is a very important person, the empire is using her. That's what I understand

Yes the plot seems really good. I just hope it wraps-up in one game. Dont want another 13 parody. They could make a sequel if this is a huge success, but a proper one.

The only thing that bothers me is how informal the Noctis/Luna engagement sounds. It's just Noctis and his entourage of favorite people hitting the road to meet up with her. You'd think this would take a more formal reception and a heavily escorted trip to her kingdom, that is if they would even take the road for that.
I'm also confused there.

I'd say the way she is shown in the new version looks more stylish/cool than the out-of-place pole dancing looking move. I don't get the impression that she is meant to be anything but serious, so acting like Bayonetta doesn't seem right, I could be wrong about the character though. I love over the top stuff sometimes, like the way Bayonetta and/or Dante act, but if the character isn't shown to have any reason to show off in such a sexual way, than I prefer her to just remain cool with her stylish moves.
So I'd say she has changed, and most likely for the better (in the case of this character).

Isn't Noctis' entourage a formal entourage of sorts beyond friends? I thought the explanation for them all wearing black was because they are all wearing various styled kingdom/government uniforms, like they are each dressed like their sector/careers/nobility does. I figured they all have ties beyond friendship to the kingdom, and thus have some official duty to see the arrangement through in addition to having a long relationship with Noctis to be at his wedding.

They did him wrong and let it slide, so he will do the same back? I mean if he does it's not wrong if it's for his kingdom right?

I hope so. Any reason to find Noctis pitted against Luna is what I'm hoping for. Easily the most interesting story element from Versus I was most looking forward to.
Both are badass, but the location was better in versus in my opinion
looks like in both version she will appear after beating some normal enemies.
