Batman V Superman Final Trailer

Finally, a Batman who looks like an imposing presence....agile but at the same time looking a tank that just plows through thugs. And Bruce Wayne has that troubled look in his eyes. This definitely looks like the Batman i've been wanting.

The opening with Batman was great. Affleck is really bringing it.

Then the rest of the trailer happens. That music is fucking atrocious, and of course the one line we get from Wonder Woman is her flirting with Bruce Wayne. I couldn't help but eyeroll fucking hard at that. The Turkish airlines trailers did a better job of piquing my interest in the movie. This trailer looks flashy, as all Snyder work is, but man do I give no fucks about anything with this movie.

I definitely think Affleck is going to steal the show. Something I don't think I would have uttered a year ago. I feel like the movie looks too unfocused trying to cram so much other stuff in there. I won't know until I see the final thing (probably when it comes out on Blu Ray or rental), but I wish they kept it simple. Between Bruce and Clank. No Luthor as a villain (just working behind the scenes, earning cred by rebuilding Metropolis). No Doomsday, and no Wonder Woman (save her for her own damned movie, where she can get some proper shit happening). It's really weird to see such a stark tonal shift from the Man of Steel trailers. Those had atmosphere and mood that the movie unfortunately couldn't match. The trailers for BvS feels so over the top and "throw everything but the kitchen sink at the movie!"

The one real takeaway from this is that I'm actually interested in a solo Batman movie now, hopefully featuring some villains we haven't seen before (give me Clayface, Solomon Grundy, and Hugo Strange). I want him to fight some of his more outlandish villains for a change.

I'm a grown ass man!

I know he and his wife/editor/hero cut at least one, I can't remember which

And may I say what a delightfully shapely ass it is. :P

I'm sure that Miller did work on some of the trailers (I want to say that the musical cues of the first trailer was his choice... ,) it's just weird some people think that Snyder etc alone are responsible for the marketing for their films.

Not sure why you keep talking about the "WB Marketing Team" with regards to cutting the trailers. It's not done by them. I mean, they're paying for it, but Jenn Horvath doesn't work for WB.

So..., she's subcontracted then? WB have an internal team that works on them and I imagine that they do use a lot of sub contractors. I imagine it will work in a manner similar to the games industry etc.

Warners also use 'trailer houses' for some of their marketing campaigns but these tend to be their 'lesser' films and they do their event films internally.

I just think that it's adorable that people think that Snyder and George Miller are directly responsible for their own trailers like it's some small 'mom and pop' operation.

This post just needed the word trainwreck to be complete

The Flash will barely be in this movie. Not even in his suit is my bet. I have no fucking clue what Aquaman's role could be, but we already know how he looks, so I think his part will be bigger than the Flash's.

Supes looks shaken up. He's going to get an ass kicking.

The Flash will be there to identify Superman's cadaver, and Aquaman will bury him at sea.

Yeah, that's true. I did love Miller's deal with the musical cues on the flares, among others.

The moral of the story is I'm the one who actually does all the trailers, so thank me!

Yeah.... after watching the trailer again I've done a full 180 on this movie and now I'm excited again. This is the hype trailer they should have put out a while ago.

Why? Because I'm not impressed by a Batman v Superman trailer? Man of Steel was a huge disappointment. This movie looks like it's cramming too much shit in a two hour movie, when the focus should be on Batman and Superman. All of the other characters being shoehorned into the movie just for the "wow!" factor are being dis-serviced (ie, Wonder Woman, Aqua-Man, Doomsday).

"Trainwreck" is incredibly presumptuous. Nothing about the movie screams trainwreck. This isn't Fantastic Four. It's just Zack Snyder doing what Zack Snyder does. And I actually enjoyed 300 and Watchmen. It's everything he's done after that that has been mediocre to me.

This movie doesn't look appealing to me, outside of the Batman stuff.

Looks like his "I did it again, didn't I?" face after he kills Bruce.

Critics, fans, casuals meltdown and riot theaters worldwide.

Would be one of the worst moments in a blockbuster ever. Have the overwhelming favorite kill the popular iconic underdog then feel regret about it afterwards.

brb dying

On George Miller specifically,

Miller was almost terrified of how good his movie's trailers were.

If you've spent the last few months obsessing over the amazing trailers for Fury Road, you're not alone: Every time a new version came in from the Warner Bros. marketing team, Miller was similarly awestruck. In fact, the advertising materials were so stunning that they began to worry the filmmaker now had to live up to even higher expectations. "I didn't want to peak with the trailer!" Miller told me after the Q&A. But he laughed, remembering how the creative impulse went both ways during post-production: "Sometimes we'd see the trailer and something was so good, like a sound cue ..." He grinned, using both hands to snatch at the air. "We'd just grab it!"

That's a pretty cool Batman. Keaton could still fuck him up though. Beware the Bat spin.

But seriously that was a great trailer.

Why not? Nobody actually likes Superman. If the movie wasn't Batwank and had Superman style on Batman with crazy feats of strength people would hate it.

I like Superman :(

As weird as it might sound, I liked stiff-neck/cowl Batman because when he fought it made it look like Batman was putting minimal effort into fighting goons.

So, remove the superman garbage and just give me bats rock bottoming people the entire movie.

This trailer made me want kind of a John Wick-esque Batman movie. In other words, a Batman movie where it's 2 hours of Batman just wrecking the shit out of people because nobody else is in his league.

Nailed it, my favorite is also " way too soon for a suicide squad movie"
Well I`m not saying it`s the wrong choice. He`s my favorite top tier villain, so I'd like them to save him for last.

You literally had that for 3 movies with Nolan. Problem was the voice when he put on a mask.

There is something cool with him not even fully turning to look at someone he's knocking out.

But I'll take the rock bottom.

hink this is the first time I've done such a 180° on a actor in a movie like this, Ben Affleck was the last person I expected to be able to pull off Batman/Bruce Wayne but right now he's the one who seems to be the best fit for his role in this movie (Jeremy Irons as Alfred is a great choice as well).

Plus as others have mentioned the combat choreography in the trailer looks awesome and so much better than anything we got in the Nolan Batman's, here Batman feels and looks intimidating as he is burying bad guys head first into the floor as if they have taken him straight out of the Arkham games with it's distinctive combat feel.

As for the rest, Henry Cavill still looks like a middle of the road Superman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman looks OK so far but have hardly seen her enough and that's the problem, right now she feels like a tacked on third wheel. Jesse Eisenberg Luther doesn't really do it for me, feels more like the Joker than a cold calculating evil business man (then again none of the movie versions of Lex have ever been any good so his might still be a improvement).

I still hope this turns out to be good, but fear they might have bitten off more than they can chew by throwing so much at this first movie... wait and see, but definitely glad to have been wrong about Batfleck.

He's talking as if the movie making a billion dollars is even in question.

Yeah this movie is going to make mountains of cash. Not sure where the FUD would be coming from. Studio execs that have seen it? Focus groups? Not exactly the kind of stuff to start wringing your hands about.

They should have made another, Superman focused trailer. Because, choose the side thing. And THEN the final trailer, with some good music for a change.

It doesn't surprise me that Moriarty doesn't like this film. But I haven't heard from any other source that "People are starting to see this film and that it isn't good."

Devin Faraci said something similar earlier this week - essentially that he was hearing views were "mixed" and WB didn't know what they had. He also said that didn't mean it was bad, just that the reception from early screenings was mixed.

And McWeeny's been rooting for this movie (that's what he said in Twitter). I do know that he loved MoS.
