But SFV has an estimate of Feb 25th - March 3rd lol.
I have the same delivery window. As with most E3 pre-orders, I just assume I'll get it a week after launch give or take a couple days. If it's not here by the end of next week, I'll start to worry.

So VGPlus just tweeted something pretty interesting if you're a Wii U owner:

Heads up, VGP apparently had to take down pre-orders for the time being.

Amazon is telling me Street Fighter V will reach me: Thursday, February 25, 2016 - Thursday, March 3, 2016 by 8:00pm

:( :( :(

Preordered during E3 so I'm not about to cancel and pay $70 for the game to get it day one, but I'm very sad :(

Is it worth speaking to customer service about this? is there a way they could speed up delivery?

Longest delay I've had on an Amazon E3 order was for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. October 9th release date; delivered on October 22nd.

I wouldn't sweat it until a game falls outside of the two-week delivery window. Although feel free to harass their customer support staff... they're pretty gullible.

if you really want it you could buy it from best buy or wherever and then return the Amazon copy to best buy

Need some advice guys. Trying to sell my PS3, but do you guys know if Ebgames or similar retailers still accept trade ins for this system? Or do you think I'd stand to make a lot more (as in $20+) if I sell it on Kijiji?

I posted my 500GB super slim, 2 controllers and 20 games on Kijiji on Friday night for $180. I figured that was a fair price since everything is mint, but struggled with low-ballers all night.

Went to EB on Saturday and was surprised to find out that the base TIV on that model was $100. With my Edge card bonus I got way more than $180 in credit after my trades were all scanned in. Used it towards an Xbox One, which is where the Kijiji cash would have gone anyway.

EB is really good for trade ins of systems. Very very convenient, assuming you're good with the value and are putting toward a new system. Personally I wait for the $ or % bump up promos. Edge is handy too.

$140 for a 4GB Xbox 360 slim prior to ps4 launch.

$130 for a 4 year old PS3 slim, traded toward an Xbox one last year.

Maybe try selling the games as a "lot" on eBay. The dollar is really low so a US buyer may be good for you despite the higher cost to ship.

Traded them all in, along with 5 other random games. I paid about $10 out of pocket for the X1 Gears of War bundle, Rare Replay and $25 in Microsoft credit.

All the shipping/delay anxiety everyone faces every time a major new release shows up doesn't seem worth the $5-20 saved by buying online IMO. I dunno. I'd always rather pay that extra to be sure I get shit day 1.

And there's always the other solution: buy retail day 1, return your shipped copy to retail when it arrives a week later. Yay!

Lol really? If saving $20 meant getting it on Friday instead of Tuesday, that's juuuuuust fine

roll up the rim is so rigged now, I don't think I've won anything in like 3 years, used to win a coffee or donut or something every few cups. I bet they put most of the winning cups in the states to try and make people want to get Tim Horton's there more.

Keep forgetting to roll. :(

I don't get the fuss over getting a game on day 1 vs day 7 -- especially when you get a deal for a week's worth of waiting.

I just checked what my SFV release date was and it's the same as everyone else's. Whatever. Gives me more time to wrap up Far Cry 4 or whatever I have going on.

But hey, that's just me. I stopped following release dates and getting into pre-release hype years ago. It's more like release month or even release quarter in some cases. Not part of the Day 1 zeitgeist? I'll live.

The savings are $21 - $40 for any games coming out this year depending on when you pre-ordered. I'm a sucker for release hype but I'll take it. It's not often my shipments have been delayed but I order from Best Buy rather than Amazon usually.

My SF didn't ship yet. I was gonna care but realized I don't have time to play anyways so I can wait.

What's happening with the preorder code though? Anyone get anything from Amazon?

BB has charged me for PxZ2
... Except I plan to return it as I don't have the time/funds for that in particular at the moment, I just couldn't cancel as it was tied to another order of mine, lol.

My SFV Amazon copy hasn't shipped yet but I have a delivery estimate of tomorrow. I'm in Vancouver.

Meanwhile, no updates on my fight stick.

I learned my lesson this time around not to preorder from Amazon if you want the games on time. I'll remind everyone with a PSA next E3. I'm just going to deal with it this year and luckily I still have some Futureshop preorders like Uncharted 4 and Rise of Tomb Raider for PS4 that they will honor.

Stick with Best Buy for online preorders or go to the physical store.

I don't know if it's still valid, but yesterday I went to get a ps4 controller for my GF and I made the price match the one from amazon.ca at Best Buy, which was 60.99 instead of 75$. Pretty good deal if you say so

I honestly don't mind if I'm getting a good deal if it's a little slow. However I have been pretty lucky with them.

Hopefully BB will get my FE Fates SE on release date, they haven't let me down yet.

But people should know by now, Amazon doesn't really get you your games on release date, sometimes even on Prime.

lol. I'm not going to visit this thread on Friday. There's going to be a lot of whining and crying.
hahah yeah

not gonna give a shit cuz I preordered my SE in-store. Amazon can take their time with Birthright, and I know BB's gonna deliver Conquest on Friday for my bro.

Hopefully by the time my copy of street fighter arrives the lag/PS3 stick issues will be patched

Also, in this day and age, at least there will be plenty of streams to keep me occupied in the meantime :)

I warned everyone and so did others as well but alas here we are. The cycle will continue until there's an executive order from the powers that be that stamps it out.

I just felt deceived as I have a paid Prime Student account because one of its selling points is you get games on launch day. The thing is if the discounts are the same on Amazon and Best Buy but Best Buy mails the games on time without needing to pay extra for express shipping why would you go with Amazon? If I wasn't ordering other things besides games the Prime subscription would be useless and cancel out any savings I get from E3 preorder deals.

I really miss Futureshop.

I completely agree with your bolded. You are paying for Prime, and they are not keeping up with what they have advertised. That's why I don't have prime, even though the vast majority of my game shopping is through Amazon.

Just that people should know how bad Amazon is with their shipping at this point, so complaining about it at every major release is a bit pointless.

Where was this stated? There is no wording on Amazon.ca that states you get games on launch day when you get Prime because it would be to their detriment if they can't honor it. They don't guarantee anything unless they have stock in their warehouses. Even their "Priority" shipping statement says "averages 1 - 2 days".

And the Amazon.ca discounts were not always the same. In past years, Amazon.ca had a superior discount set up, included special editions and it wasn't uncommon to take advantage of price adjustments. There's also the ability to easily manage your own cancellations unlike BestBuy's system which is always a joy to deal with.

Both retailers have their pros and cons but if you want your game as close to release day as possible, I agree, BestBuy is the safer bet.

They promised no such thing. They promise 2-day shipping but they don't say when the shipment will leave them. Prime is good for only 1 thing, free shipping on orders that don't normally qualify for free shipping.
