Since we don't have a production thread for this movie, figured this was the best place to post the new pic I found on Twitter

Storm and Xavier look good.
Everything else looks like shit.
Olivia Munn's outfit in this movie looks great too. But apparently, that's because she went against Singer and argued she should have the original colourful outfit instead of the black leather one Singer had planned for. lol
Singer, I hope this is your last X-men movie.

X-Force film can't come soon enough hopefully with the same crew that did Deadpool but on a good budget. Bring on a real X film, stop the whole being ashamed of being in a comic book movie and bring the real comic suits!

The notion that these aren't real X-Men movies because the suits aren't accurate is hilarious to me.

X2 is better than 99% of comic book movies because it's a good movie, not because they aren't wearing shit yellow spandex and are wearing shit black leather instead.

X2 is not even a movie, it's a collection of horribly directed "action" scenes, godawful humour and fragments of idiotic dialogue shared between 700 characters. The only cool scene was Nightcrawler's and that's been overrated to the living hells and back

that picture is weird. i would never have guessed Quicksilver is more ripped than Beast

No one says it has to be latex. Anyway, latex isn't any worse than having someone walk around naked half the movie.

Of course it's hyperbole but I'm surprised there's still people jumping at every complaint about the shitty costumes in Singer's movies. Yes, we get it, X2 and DOFP are great movies, the Nightcrawler and Zip-Zap scenes are better than anything in yadda yadda. Why is it so hard to understand that people can find this good and still want them to put a little bit more effort in the costumes?

These movies have such awful costume design. Singer plz.

Let's not forget this gem

My despise for Singer started from the very beginning. The Liev Schriber design is terrible too, but give me some dude with a beard and long nails over this disaster any day.

I'll take X-Men 2 over any MCU film/MOS any day of the week. Better villain, better performances, better thematic content, and the X-Mansion scene is filled with little character beats.

LOL I see you

Every time someone says something negative about Singer X-Men there's gotta be comparisons to the MCU movies.

Shit's more tired than JLaw and Fass of their roles.

Did you miss me criticising MOS as well?

The point remains that X-Men films (mostly) strive to be about more than characters hitting other characters or (great as TWS was) vague allusions to being tonally similar to other films made decades go. And we need films which are about more than punching in every genre.

Seriously...not a single of these movies can stand against captain America 2...not just a good superhero movie. A good movie also.

I love CA: TWS. But the 'it's a throwback to the old spy films Redford made' is so stupid I can't even. And the action peaks with Bucky-Cap 1, Bucky-Cap 2 is... a shame.

Oh, I'm sorry, you throwing MOS in there changes everything

"Strive to be about more". Get a grip.

The themes in Singer's X-Men movies are as paper thin as in most other superhero movies and only there because of the source material in the first place. Praise the cinematography or the dialogue or the performances or whatever but let's not act like they're treading new ground here.

Or doing it well. I sill want to know what was the point of Bolivar Trask?

Well, it does kinda change context given you ignored that and focused on me 'being a big meanie to the MCU.'

Also, what? The first film started with a scene showing the Nazi persecution of Jewish people in a concentration camp. Then leaped to a scene consisting of two great actors trading political and social ideologies. We're not talking great art, but ignoring how brave X-Men was for starting with some heavy shit is doing a disservice to how X-Men dragged comic-book films into something meaningful.

Now X-Men: First Class completely fucked that scene up by redoing it with Kevin Bacon. But what can you do?

Never understood the appeal of X2 either, maybe because it was a better film than the dull ass first film. I remember leaving the theater after watching the first movie and thinking how fucking disappointed I was with it and how soulless it felt, never felt like that with any other film because I was a huge X-Men growing up as a kid. None of the X-Men films feel like real X-Men movies and not just because of the costumes. They feel so constrained like their ashamed of being based of a comic and not willing to go a bit wild, also hated how they focus certain characters (Wolverine/Magneto/Xavier/Mystic while the other mutants just get ignored. Meanwhile Deadpool had Colossus in his comic form and looked awesome so did teenage warhead in that classic X-Men comic costume and reveled in it.

Like I said I'm so fucking looking forward to X-Force film.

I don't care about the measurements, or it being super form fitting.
Take Negasonic's suit give it that pattern, throw on a leather jacket and im good.

change the black to green and its almost there as is.
A good part of her suit seems to be leather. See, I have nothing wrong with leather. When people mention "spandex X-Men costumes", I've always(since I was a kid), figured their costumes WERE leather(like Negasonic's, actually). They can be leather and not look like they did in the first 3 movies. I don't understand why people are still against this. Super hero movies have shown we can move past these ideas that "costumed heroes can't work". They can, and DO, and people LOVE THEM. I know there are folks that just can't wrap theri heads around costumed heroes because they look too illogical or stupid. Sorry, but that's the majority of comic book heroes in a nutshell. And as proven, it's not like back in the day where the majority of audiences snicker at costumed heroes on screen as looking corny. They've accepted it... with open arms.

Personally speaking, I just think Singer's got a fetish for black leather uniforms.

Folks need to grow out the 90s

The X-men costumes been great for last decade or so

Don't matter to me. These costumes are fine, and more varied than the ones in this movie. Not only do that have some nice color to them, they are all unique, and quite simple. One problem I have with costume design is that artists feel obligated to make the designs as intricate as possible.

I dont know how you can have a problem with the bolded after being such a fan of the MCU

who said I'm a fan of the MCU? lol. I think their movies are complete shlock from a cinematic perspective, but some of them at least have good action, unlike Singer's X-Men

compared to that shit and what DC has put out until now they're almost great
