So who are the actual 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse in this? Arch Angel of course but people are saying Pyslocke? That seems like an odd choice but I know he's had like a dozen different "four" horsemen. I'm just not a fan of Olivia Munn, seems like a nice woman and all, but her acting ability is moderate at best in the many movies I've seen.

should have been a night time shot, the lighting looks too baked and adds to the fakeness

and no to the costume, I know a lot of you are jizzing at the comic-book accurate attire but it just doesnt translate well on the big screen, looks like she's just came out of the pool.

The way her hair is moving in that shot it looks like she's still in the pool to me.

So is Hugh Jackman in this movie or not? I've been hearing such mixed things.

He is. But given that this is his last X-men-movie, after Wolverine 3 he's done with the character, they're pushing his role a bit to the background. Thank god for that, the first three movies were Wolverine & Friends.

hasn't been lole that for years. She has evolved quite a bit

To be fair these are all after she gained TK. In this movie Jean is barely a teen so I doubt Phoenix has even enter the picture at this point which means she should only have psychic blades and not her TK blades or full potential unlocking that AoA Jean gave her that allows her to do all this nifty stuff.

Then why is she Asian when we know there isn't a Spiral in her world?

She should have that red mark (Psychic Down?) on her face too. >_>

Magneto was the Horseman of War in the X-Men: Evolution animated series.

Never really watched that show past the first Season. I dont think there were even sentinels in the show when I tuned out, wasn't a fan of the high school thing.

It looks like she's in a harness and not performing a roll. Then there's the wierd physics of a two ton car suddenly changing its momentum

But your post said "female superheroes"... implying this happens alot. 3 or 4 in the last 5 years (on movies and TV) is far less broad of a thing than your post made it out to be.

It still happens far too much in movies as a whole and even worse in comics. "Shit we need some sex appeal, that's just cut a window in her top that will do it". Psylocke is the worst I have seen for a while.

Looks bad. And why we still have to deal with teenager X-Men? Give the X-Men rights back to Marvel so they can add them finally in their MCU. Even after almost 10 MCU blockbuster movies in the last 10 years the word "Mutant" was not mentioned once.

I think the X-Men work better as a separate universe especially with all the time shenanigans they tend to go through. No need to bring them in to the MCU since they wouldn't add much to the universe that the Inhumans can't besides some cool specific character interaction. Now Fantastic Four on the other hand...

I trust in singer. The worst X-men movie he made was the first and they've only gotten better with each one.

I mean it could be garbo but DOFP was such a fun and entertaining film, i can't imagine the next film regressing much.

Yea I'm not getting the DOFP hate, nor the First Class hate.

IMO the only bad X-Men was 3.

It does nothing for me, looks weird for some reason.

I loved First Class and liked the last one. The marketing for this isn't doing it for me.

I'm not feeling the Apocalypse trailers, but then again, I also remember a lot of trepidation around the trailers for Days of Future Past, and DoFP ended up being generally quite well received.

I thought Psylocke's psychic blade only cuts through organic objects?

You expect Singer to have a basic grasp of how her powers actually work?

Normally in this case I would give the producers the benefit of the doubt, since her powers are being enhanced by Apocalypse, but since it's Singer, yeah he fucked up.

Per wikipedia:

At its highest level, the katana can slice through almost any physical matter.[15] Psylocke's control over the katana is such that she can slice an armored opponent and cut through the armor, but only leave her opponent stunned or unconscious

([15] refers to X-Treme X-Men #2 (Aug. 2001) )

The movie looks fun. Apocalypse looks not-horrible anymore. And people are flailing around over Psylocke's nearly comic-accurate costume. Can't ask for more.

Bravo, Singer. Bravo.

Wow, at this point Fox have no choice but to double down on that hideous Apocalypse design, I mean the fucking thing is named after him after all.

Also it's interesting that Fassbender and J-Law get their 'hero shots' in the trailer but nothing for James McAvoy. It looks like McAvoy (whom I really like) has been deemed a non draw with audiences.

Watch Fox double down on the likes of Olivia Munn in future marketing/trailers to try and bring in the teenagers on the opening weekend while everyone else stays away.

Here's a thought...., what if Deadpool manages to break out from its core audience of angry 15 year olds and outperforms Apocalypse in the US?

I loved First Class and liked the last one. The marketing for this isn't doing it for me.

That's where I am too. I liked DOFP but didn't love it, I think the film just fell into the usual over/underrating that goes with superhero films (I'm looking at you Deadpool) but this looks like it's going to be a total misfire on just about every level.

There can't honestly be people who think this way...., Oscar Isaac looks like something from an Asylum film. If he no longer looks 'not-horrible' does that make him 'just' bad?
