Trump postponed the rally of his own accord, the govt had nothing to do with it. Therefore, his freedom of speech wasn't violated.

Also, the people protesting have their freedom of speech rights as well.
It's a rented private venue, so it's not that simple technically - but outside they certainly do.

Are they chanting Bernie?

No doubt it was better that he stopped her than let her continue, but it was still a partially cowardly rebuttal that didn't tackle the underlying anti-Muslim hysteria.

Lol at people saying that this will only help him with Republicans. These protesters will if anything make a coalition of minorties more riled up to not let Trump win the presidency. The worst thing for Democrats is indifference to voting but with the recent events people will actively go to vote against Trump just so that he doesn't win the general.

He'll secure the GOP nomination but his chances in the GE are pretty slim.

And actually, attacking trump for being crazy and racist is working. The thing with trump is that he has a super loyal floor of voters that will vote for him no matter what, but outside of that Trump is INCREDIBLY disliked, more so than any other candidate ever. The threat of a Trump presidency is much more likely to encourage Dems to vote than excitement over a Clinton presidency.

This.

This will only strengthen trump

currently only imperfect cell, but in the nomination and election lies his path to perfection...

about seventeen years in the future. Meanwhile, ours got aborted by Krillin of all people. Well, at least Makai now has a theme for the next debate thread.

But seriously, can anyone even imagine Cruz or Rubio (or plottwist: Kasich!) actually running against Hillary or Sanders?

Holy SHIT Maddow on MSNBC. I don't think I've heard her this pissed off ever. She's very audibly upset and is either crying or on the verge of tears over the state of presidential politics.

There are only so many racist straight white dudes in America. Didn't help Mitt

Yeah. At this point Trump has too much momentum amongst his own base for anything to stop it there. They protest, he'll spin it to his favor, but the same is true if they don't. But what protesting does achieve is getting people aware and riled up on the opposite side, as well as Trump's reactions turning off most people outside his base of support

I honestly dont care WHO is on the dem ticket. Im voting for them. The Republicans in this country have lost all sanity.

Fuck trump I hope more people will speak and protest. Enough of this shit. There are many more Americans who live and work together in harmony.

Im tired of people attempting to use fear and hatred for political gain.

Damn I'll need a link to this when it no doubt gets uploaded.

I do not like trump but this really brings up questions of freedom of speech and freedom of association. Obviously people have the right to say anything about Trump and protest but Trump and his supporters should be able to have their event no matter how much you dislike him. This brings serious questions to my mind.

Protesting is freedom of speech

So...what are you confused about exactly?

I sincerely hope that for the first time in his entire life Trump feels fear at the sight of the people he has trampled on to get ahead, rising up to oppose him with such ferocity.

Good shit, Chicago.

Did it bring the same serious questions to your mind when minorities were being attacked and thrown out of Trump rallies?

she was pretty pissed during the ferguson riots.

I'm not sure whether I'll vote in this election (I feel like I'd rather not vote than vote without doing adequate research into candidates) but if Trump is the republican nominee in the general election, I'll make sure to vote so I can vote against him. Though it won't matter anyways since Illinois is a blue state anyways
