$85M intl wknd for #BatmanvSuperman falling 67% from opening. $419.8M intl cume, $681.3M global now heading to $900-925M.
Oh okay, maybe I'm still undercutting it. They think it's going to make another $220M+ WW? More than I'd expect.

What if Ben Affleck had directed this movie ??? Surely it would have been better than Snyder's excessive focus on action.
What are you talking about, this movie is not bloated with action. Some people really do say some nonsense when putting this movie down.

So Snyder really is going to continue to make JL then, no turning back at this point. :\

I haven't had a chance to see Zootopia yet. What is it helping the insane legs? WoM or being the only kid friendly film at the moment?

A unprecedented opening has occurred where my family has ditched me to go shopping, as bad as I expect this movie to be it cannot be worse than 5 hours in a mall so I am off to the cinema :p

Shouldn't WB be glad to make anywhere near the amount it's making after the disastrous critical reception BvS received?

Actually, I think their previous JL plans hinged on Green Lantern. And we all know how that turned out.

Which is doubly embarrassing now that Ryan Reynolds has gone and starred in a much better Marvel film (well, Fox-made Marvel film) that openly makes a mockery of his previous role.

I keep forgetting that Waller was in that one.

A lot of you buried Nolan pre-BvS like Snyder and Terrio were gonna make people forget TDK trilogy ever happened.

BvS only strengthened Nolan's trilogy.

Almost like it was planned all along...

Still will pass billion probably.

Overall I think this isn't just the movie, but generally the sign of people slowly getting tired of superhero movies. It's not like they will collapse anytime soon and we;ll still see them regularly passing 700 mln, but I doubt anything in next few years will be able to beat first Avengers in box office.

Don't try and throw the genre under the bus because of this messy film.

I don't see how anyone thinks BvS is a worse movie than The Dark Knight Rises. That movie was easily on par with BvS in terms of pacing and story yet people loved that movie. Movie had paving issues, plot holes, editing issues and a ton of stupid shit.

It is amazing how much Nolan got trashed on this site post-TDKR, and then seeing real garbage like BvS. Really puts GAF hyperbole into perspective.

I actually liked BvS but TDKR was easily a better more competent film.

With every passing comic book movie for the most part this trilogy gets even greater retroactively

GAF voted TDK as the best comic book movie ever a few months back. For the most part, people here still love it.

It wasn't a 30-40%+ rating above BvS by any stretch, that's my point.
Sure it was. TDKR is a vastly, vastly better movie, with a better script, performances, thematic consistency, score...honestly you name it and TDKR is better. Hell, for all the talk of how awesome the action scenes are in BvS, none of them were as riveting as Batman and Bane's sewer fight.

Yeah, it officially upgraded The Dark Knight Rises from 'god awful' to 'just awful'.

I disagree with you on most points. TDKR was fucking terrible and not worthy of the scores or praise it gets. I am sticking with it being on par with Snyders movie.

It's a large Wat.

I didn't hate BvS, Batfleck was pretty great, loved his suit and the performance. Though the movie was an overall mess, I hope this dive makes them reconsider Snyder at the helm for Dawn of Justice, they can't afford another weak installment.

Is the Batman solo film going to be directed by Affleck?

Are Justice League 1 & 2 being shot back to back? The 'Part One' and 'Part Two' titles make it sound like one big movie that's being split in half. Just wondering how much WB are committed to at this moment in time.
