I don't understand how the AI works in this game. I played the Rally Cross Classic championship on professional difficulty and finished three of the four events in the top three. Now in the fourth event I can't even qualify. I've tried for more than two hours now and I can't do it. It's like the game wants me to repeat the season.
Really frustrating.
whats the easiest way to make animated gifs of movie clips?
On another not is there a way to move the split times indicator that pops up, that get in my way all the time
I'm a noob at this myself. Used this site - http://ezgif.com/video-to-gif - on an mp4 file captured on a PS4.
Uploaded directly from the PS4?, or did you have to pull it off the system with a USB stick?
I trimmed the clip on my PS4, copied it to an USB drive and uploaded it to that site from my PC.
I'm with this guyJust turn the hud off m8, it really improves focus
I like the idea of turning the hud off,but do you still get split times ??I'm with this guy

Hello, Dirt community. Just bought the game - is https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/leagues/league/14770/neogaf-league what I should be joining once I will get ever so slightly better?

Yup, that's the one, but you should join right away even if you are new to the game, it's fun even if you are bad at it.
Middle of the crest over big jump!
You don't have to turn the entire HUD off, there are separate switches for times, dials, co-driver, etc.I like the idea of turning the hud off,but do you still get split times ??

Thank you also my first race with impromptu set DS4 gamepad inputs on PC.

Hard to see but the right front was already gone. I was trying to limp to the end but then said eh! Lets take this jump lol.
EDIT:

Yeah, the game pulls no punches.
Sometimes you lose less time by limping through the stage than fixing a tyre.
Also, beautiful hairpin there.
It wasn't just flat... the entire rim was gone!

Just tried this for the first time and i have a quick question: is there a practise mode? When i started the game, it seems there was with the mini but i quit the game and when i returned, i was thrown into the career mode and i can't find the practise mode anymore?
Also, any thoughts on manual versus automatic transmission for controller users?
First impressions after playing for a very short time: wow, i'm genuinely impressed!
Now I want this game. Couldn't you have just told me about it when it was already out?Forthcoming iOS game Rush Rally 2 has procedurally generated tracks. Made by two guys!
Just done the Audi online event. Amazing fun!
I can't wait for the time when everything was compared to Dark Soul is behind us.
Ugh.
It could, but I am not sure it should.Would / should a sequel to Dirt Rally have procedural track generation?

Still accepting beta applications: Rush Rally 2Now I want this game. Couldn't you have just told me about it when it was already out?
Rush Rally 2 mostly generates the scenery. The road itself is optionally generated, for most the road path splines have been hand generated (some traced from Google maps) or at the very least hand tuned. As with anything procedurally generated it is as good as the effort put into the algorithm. It could, but I am not sure it should.
I reckon you might just get a lot of junk tracks, without any flow, just look at a track like Bidno Moorland to see how well a track can flow, I doubt you'd get a track with anywhere near as good a flow that was proc-gen.

I should add that the user can't currently generate tracks at will.

Have a look at the end of the thread I linked to see his Pikes Peak. Road from map data, scenery generated.Well, yeah, obviously, depends how proc gen your proc gen is, how detailed your track sections are, and how they tessellate together, I still reckon, with a game like Dirt Rally, it would take a lot of time and effort to be able to consistently proc gen decent tracks.

Everything other than the spline. So the course uses splines traced from google maps?, what's proc gen?, the scenery?
Everything other than the spline.
sorry folks. dropped off the map for a few days. haven't even had a chance to play for almost a week now!
so the xbone league is behind. ill try and set up an event soon if people are still interested. ill probably just continue with slower cars for another round or two before stepping up to the 70's cars.
if someone wants to make another xbox league and keep up with the PC/PS4 league, feel free to do so. or i could just give someone admin privieleges on the lague thats already set up if they want.
so dumb question but does the PS4 leagues times/points carry over from week to week?
I got roped into Ratchet and Clank so Ive effed up my season if so
I 'think' the reason the points didn't carry over is because I ended last weeks event early, and thus didn't finish, so no points awarded?, I'd assume that when this one finishes, and I add a new event the league table should populate with points from the finishing positions of this weeks event?
Nope, you have to daisychain it IMO, since you start by creating a Season and you set Events/Stages next. We set 1 event last time![]()
