Uncharted 4 preview thread. New footage/info

It shows confidence in the end product. What qualitative difference does it make if they barely showed the SP until release?
They let people play it months ago. Does that show any confidence?

It's a flagship single player game so I think your retort relies on a very poor comparison.

They showed confidence in TDM. I want to know what else the have added and/or improved when it comes to other facets of the multiplayer. Many people are worried about multiplayer and rightfully so. That's where alot of us will be spending most of our time, regardless if it's a flagship single player or not.

People said the exact same thing about TLOU and that multilayer is sooooooo good.
That's because there were only 2 modes at launch with very few weapons and customization. What exactly is there to do a blowout about without making it seem (to the public) like it was tacked on with little effort? It had no expectations to fill since it was a new IP. Uncharted has had two previous multiplayers and in both they fully revealed the MPs way before release.

That's not a qualitative difference, and as has been pointed out, there have been two occasions to sample the MP game.

What is the difference for you between getting the information now, or in a week's time? Bearing in mind the original post I was replying to:

I honestly cannot BELIEVE we still don't know detailed mulitplayer information. The game's only a few weeks away!

What is fundamentally different about getting the information earlier? Why the emphasis on disbelief that this information still hasn't been shared?

It's one of the things that baffles me, the sense of entitlement to information as early as possible, when surely as long as it is available prior to the game's release and can be used as a purchasing decision tool, the timing is irrelevant?

Do you think we will see a The Last Of Us review craziness again with 10/10 everywhere?

Not that high though I think. Hope there're no meltdown on 8/10 but I expect there're a lot of people who don't give a shit about the game and drive-by with "Can't wait for the meltdown"

My wife bought me these for our anniversary. I'm ready.

You are going to buy the SE in Brazil? I want it so bad... but I am afraid of the price :/

I was... but with the way things are around here, and considering I expect it to cost R$600... Yeah, I'll probably pass now. LP9 Deluxe Edition is my real priority this year anyway, and that's probably going to be R$600 too.

Nah man, meltdowns are great. I want to see if the review thread plays out differently than the U3 one if it gets an 8/10 from some outlet. The U3 review thread is, after all, THE thread people always mention when talking about embarrassing GAF moments and meltdowns.

I think they simply are holding it back because of surprises and spoilers. Uncharted 3 they blew the lid off that game in terms of spoilers. We saw practically every set piece played online, we played the beta twice with coop and then we got the MP a month early.

I guess this time around they want to keep things under their sleeve.

Has ND talked about why Greg Edmonson is not working on UC4? I'm kind of nervous about the music without him considering how great it was (in Among Thieves specifically) and me being a big Firefly fan..

I imagine it's because of the change in Directors.

The question is that a 96 back in 2009 was really hard, in 2016 it's nearly impossible.

Yup the amount of Xbox bias or Playstation bias sites that are factored into that dumb score everyone pays attention to makes almost any exclusive game getting over a 95 impossible.

Reviews mean shit to me though

Excactly, it's got to be like the best game of all time, and revolutionary, to get such an MC today.

Do you realise that we are 3 year into the gen and no AAA game got above 93?

96 is probably impossible in the current climate.

Just purchased the deluxe edition, first purchase since GT5 so really hyped as fuck for this game. As I've said before a hefty co-op mode would be lovely but I don't think renting this game will do service to the SP which I think will be special, support the games you love with your wallet and what not. Not every game needs to be service based which seems to be becoming the Case more and more.

Even if it somehow turns out shit, least it's pretty and I see it as payment for TLOU which I never did buy but rather rented and was the best game I've played besides any GT. :P
