Uncharted 4 preview thread. New footage/info

WTH! May is so soon!

I saw some Plunder gameplay on Youtube, very brief 10 second tease.

I am hoping for more MP...like right now please.

If Naughty Dog can announce free map DLC for life, I'll be so ecstatic. I dont want to see this game fractured into 3-4 DLC map packs

Wait, he removes the rifle so he can get on the Jeep?

What did Tidux say? I'm not seeing any discussion of him on the previous page.

In fairness I don't know, but I was referring to this:

I'm being told that jeuxvideomagazine.com has a "first to review" exclusivity so the embargo might end later for others, at least here in France.

And the ones i know don't have the game yet, so it's really possible that Tidux is full of shit (and i think he is). They'll have it at the end of next week.

It makes sense. You don't want to sit in the driver seat with a rifle strapped to your back like that.

I know, it makes perfect sense. I just didn't think they take it that far. It would've been so easy for them to just make Drake sit with the rifle on his back, and I'm sure most people wouldn't give two shits about it, but it's ND we're talking about.

I shouldn't be surprised, but I kinda am.

I'm just as worried about the people who have little interest in the game coming in trying to stir shit up. Have seen so many hoping Uncharted 4 gets less than expected reviews, just to see the reactions. I find that just as pathetic as the people who do end up making stupid comments in review threads.

Well UC4 won't be a game that does that so expect a lot of people to be disappointed. It's not going to get lower than a 90. The more interesting thing is going to be if it at least matches 95 and which reviewers try to give the game a relatively lower score because they need traffic for their web site or don't know how to properly review games.

Yah, you will only find these kind of details in a Naughty Dog game. Unlike other developers developing a lot of games every year, Naughty Dog only has to release only one game every 5 years. It's a luxury they have earned because of these little nuances in their games. The animation is on another level in this game.

5 years? Uncharted 2007, Uncharted 2 2009, Uncharted 3 2011, The Last of Us 2013, Uncharted 4 2016.

orly :p

2007 Uncharted 1
2009 Uncharted 2
2011 Uncharted 3
2013 The Last of Us
2014 The Last of Us Left Behind (Not a full game)
2016 Uncharted 4

I agree that Naughty Dog are lucky that Sony gives them so much freedom, but one game every 5 years is a bit of an exaggeration.

Great Posts....

And getting TLOU on PS4 is included in my book. Game was that much better at 60fps and breathe new life into the title.

Lighting looks really inaccurate. The wheels, wheel well, his pants, gun, holster, jeep springs, horn, etc. are glowing from the GI probes off the land and there is no occlusion... ugghh..
Ughhhhhhhh.

Haha man this the funniest post I read all day.

Hmm, this looks SO good I might just wait for the Neo version. I have plenty to play from now through Summer so having UC4 as my first experience on the upgraded system would be pretty sweet.

Best buy charges up front for preorder = gold coin + $5 rewards

Vs

Amazon no charge preorder but no gold coin and no $5 off

This is hard but i dont want to take the hit to my account :(

Here ya go:

Those GAFfers just have different expectations for a game. Because MGSV has fantastic gameplay and easily some of the best in the series (IMO, only MGS3 gives it competition). And gameplay > story any day of the week. What I learned from MGSV post release is that most of those folks would sacrifice quite a bit in the gameplay department to go back to a cutscene heavy, plot driven game (nonsensical plot too).

But I played MGS4. And I ain't ever touching an awful mess of a game like that again. I'll take great gameplay anyday.

Raises hand.

MGS4 > V to me at least.
I hated V. And I love that series more than I can express in words.

Your maths needs some work friend.

What MGSV teaches us is that people want a gaming experience, and a story is part of that, just like graphics, sound and gameplay.

There's a balance that MGSV screwed up.

MGS4 = absolutely heinous - an insult to what made MGS great. Entirely unpleasant to experience outside of the 3-4 hours of good gameplay

MGSV = a phenomenal "make your own MGS" simulator

Anyway. Uncharted is a far more consistent, progressive series.

how was 4 an insult to mgs?

MGSV isn't shit because it's lacking story. (that's just a disappointing MGS)

It's bad for many fans because it has no memorable locations, because it has extremely repetitive action pieces, close to no boss fights etc... It basically forgets every good from the series while also removing the bad.

I'm hoping with every fibre of all that is good and holy I can get a copy of this game some time next week. I've touched base with a few of my contacts, and there is a small chance. Please God. Lol.
