I would rather SP worked on a new IP.
An actor for whatever this is was at "Sony PlayStation" doing facial capture. I still don't think SP is doing it though.

If it true and it is made by SP then wow, what a waste of talent. I don't buy the rumor. I really don't. So I've seen some people quote the word that they used "Spectacular" from their job listenings just because they think of Spider-Man? lol. I mean I kinda do agree on them stretching their wings and trying new stuff but the spider? Really? C'mon. To be completely honest, I'm a big inFAMOUS fan and I'd rather them just finishing the trilogy like RS did with Arkham.
But then again, RS were burnt out on arkham as we saw with AK so Idk :/ And we know how that mess ended. I just don't want to wait till at least 2019/2021 till iF3.

Lol @ 'waste of talent'. A good/great spiderman game is likely to appeal to more people and sell better than a fourth Infamous game.
And I dont know what you mean by wanting them to finish the trilogy. They already made 3 games. The trilogy IS finished.

The "trilogy" is not finished. Not at all. Nothing about iF: SS felt finished to me. They left the ending completely wide open, depending on what choice you made. I still feel completely dissapointed by SS, as with pretty much everyone. The graphics was nice yeah but that was it. The characters was dumb af. Still don't know why they looked at trophy data from iF2 to make this game. Just dumb.
I do agree on Spidey that he is long overdue for a good game, but not SP. Not them. I'd rather see a VR spidey tbh.

Although the infamous games looked good, maybe average to above average last gen, but they were never able to hit the Ps3's potential (Uc2/3, Kz2/3, gow3/a, mgs4, heavy rain, etc.) and even though the Ps4 is way easier to develop for, it was Sp's first Ps4 game and it looked great.
So if they're doing Spider-Man, damn yo just imagined a realistically rendered Manhattan/Algonquin and possibly Queens too

I actually agree. I would not want all sony first party studios to be relegated to making marvel games and would rather have different stuff.
The only reason why SP is the exception for me (and I'd be excited for this project if they're handling it) is that they've been making superhero games anyways since the start of last gen, and while I've enjoyed them, I would enjoy this even more due to liking the IP and characters so much more.Spiderman has an excellent set of characters/enemies & stories that can be told. It is by far the strongest standalone marvel IP imo.

No thanks. The comics (...and the films, for that matter) have enough of Hulk running roughshod over the other superheroes, nearly 100% of whom are exponentially cooler than he is.
We can get someone to give us an Avengers game, though. Or an Iron Man game, if developers can figure out how to put what should be the easiest character to adapt to a video game ever...in a good video game.

BUMP - excuse the double post, but a post from another forum got me thinking... what if the spiderman game is canon to the spectacular spiderman cartoon and takes place where season 3 would've been for that show?
that way it could just delve right into a story from the beginning, no need for the origin story etc. like the homecoming movie

I always saw that as being tangentially linked to the 90's series. It wasn't really though, and you're right it was fine.
It's about time Marvel pulled off something like Arkham.

The best case scenario is that it's somehow tied in with the MCU and Spiderman Homecoming.
But even that as a best case, is still them beholden to a license that has already had great iterations, that probably doesn't need exploring anymore. It's just a movie tie-in. And there's so many creative people there. Just makes me upset for them.
Especially when Infamous finally looked like it had an opportunity to hit it's stride.

I would hold it in higher regards if a glitch hadn't occurred that prevented me from progressing in the game after I had invested so much time in it. I was enjoying it before that point though.
