So, I've been playing First Light today, specifically the Challenge Arenas. When Fetch is chased by spiders she says "These better not be radioactive."
Probably a coincidence but..... just maybe.

Sadly two insiders (Kagari and shinobi) have said that Sucker Punch are not developing this. There was someone teasing that Insomniac is developing it.Incredibly excited for this. Probably the rumored game I'm most excited about for E3. Most Spider-Man games have been somewhat mediocre, never really being truly great except for a few titles, so if Sucker Punch really is developing this game, then we may finally have a Marvel game on the same level as Arkham Asylum. Not necessarily as good, of course, but possibly much closer than ever.
I just hope that it would be more like inFAMOUS 2 in terms of content, rather than Second Son. I loved Second Son (and First Light), but the side content was disappointing. As was the story in that they should have spent more time with Fetch and Eugene, rather than just giving as a mission or two after getting their powers then moving on to the next set of missions.
It should also be a great opportunity to see what Sucker Punch can do for the combat, seeing as inFAMOUS' mostly focused on ranged shooter-type combat.
Excellent point. I would be all over this. This NEEDS to have interactive story to some extent, and Peter Parker parts in it.
It's easy to make sidequests fun if you give some narrative going.
If it's just fetch quests it gets old.

I'm disappointed, would rather Sucker Punch develop Spidey than a new IP personally.
Insomniac or not, all I need are three things:
- Don't be VR
- Be open-world
- Don't be tied down to a movie
I'll buy it, almost guaranteed, if all these things are true. Spidey has so much untapped potential.
CorrectFWIW, Activision has the movie game rights, so it won't be tied into a movie.

Sucker Punch is doing a new IP.Well shit. There goes my excitement... Fuck, it would've been incredible. Oh well, at least we're getting a new Spider-Man game, I guess. Hopefully, there's a great studio behind it. Insomniac would be... interesting. Yeah, I think that could work too. Of course, I'd still prefer Sucker Punch, of course.
I wonder what Sucker Punch is developing then.
Well it depends. Being highly stylized seems like an instant I don't care for me. Though it depends how it looks. I want AAA graphics, I want this to have the feeling of a AAA budget behind it.Can't see how anyone would be disappointed, Insomniac are as good a fit as any.
Yeah, it didn't come from anywhere. The idea just sounded nice and we ran with it.I don't even know where the Sucker Punch thing came from outside the OP personally wishing for it.
Confirms that this is actually a game that's happening so I'm excited.Sadly two insiders (Kagari and shinobi) have said that Sucker Punch are not developing this. There was someone teasing that Insomniac is developing it.

Because they did "superhero" games beforeI don't even know where the Sucker Punch thing came from outside the OP personally wishing for it.
Please have amazing swing mechanics like Spiderman 2.
Yep, when they shot down Sucker Punch I was like, "Oh snap, did they just indirectly confirm this is legit?!" lol.Confirms that this is actually a game that's happening so I'm excited.
And how does that work? Never played SO.Have you played Sunset Overdrive? Insomniac will literally build the core gameplay on traversal mechanics.

I'm disappointed because I wanted to see Sucker Punch specifically do it and thought it suited them well. Insomniac doing it could be cool too but I haven't played their most recent work (Sunset Overdrive and Ratchet 2016) and disliked the Resistance trilogy so they aren't as exciting for me personally. And I know Sunset and Ratchet 2016 are highly praised, just neither have appealed to me. Regardless I will definitely take an Insomniac game over nothing or more movie tie-ins.Can't see how anyone would be disappointed, Insomniac are as good a fit as any.

They should ditch the permament on the move element but it would be fittingThe game is built on movement. You constantly have to be running along walls, zipping on lines, jumping on cars like trampolines etc. If you stay put, you die.
Here's a good video showcasing this.
Would translate really well for a Spider-Man game, could even use the same engine.
Sucker Punch is doing a new IP.
Thanks goodness.... Thhhaaannkk goodness.
I don't know that them denying SP being on this is confirming it's existence, rather I think they just know what SP is doing and its not Spider-Man

I doubt it's a new Infamous.Almost certain this is the case. But for me it's worth celebrating.
It helps I'm an Infamous fanboy, but such a waste of talent over there to be working on Spiderman.
This was after Kagari vetted someone with Spider-man info. Obviously, it doesn't guarantee anything but where there is smoke, you know.I don't know that them denying SP being on this is confirming it's existence, rather I think they just know what SP is doing and its not Spider-Man
Yeah, it definitely isn't. Shinobi already said it wasn't Infamous.I doubt it's a new Infamous.

Thank the heavens. I have little interest In Spiderman.Sadly two insiders (Kagari and shinobi) have said that Sucker Punch are not developing this. There was someone teasing that Insomniac is developing it.
