A few months ago, people here were saying that it was impossible for Drumpf to be the nominee. Now today, even with polls showing he has a lead over Clinton, people are like :"You can't trust these polls!"

The leading man in the race is a psychopath, backed by the KKK and he quotes Mussolini. I think people don't want to see it, because of how terrifying and awful it is.

Let's not give any credence to that poll. It is not an excuse to dismiss it.
It's the same poll that claimed Romney would win in a landslide.

Trump changed the rules. He unearthed a lot of dormant hatred.

He did, but he also repulsed women, minorities, and moderate republicans in winning the nomination.

I'm not gonna say he's gonna get curb stomped in the GE, but I can't see him winning.

Trump absolutely has a chance at winning if the Bernie supporters that are trashing the hell out of Hillary everywhere don't let up once Bernie bows out.

Trump changed the rules. He unearthed a lot of dormant hatred.

He's got the uneducated white vote and the racist (not racist) vote on lock, but right now that's all he has going for him. Looking at the spread, he fails in urban centers where most of the votes are coming from. The only other benefit he has right now is the non-establishment vote.

While Trump is a threat in the GE, his clear lack of political understanding will be his undoing. He'll alienate the non-establishment group by bring on establishment politicians and be stuck with the pittance of votes from lower populated portions of the country. The only big issue is left is how hard the GOP will push the voter ID stuff to help "balance out" the political field.

So Trump is the only canidate left?
How does this work now, is he automatically the Repubblican Candidate? (non-US here)

No, he's not automatically the candidate.

This just means that Kasich will cease campaigning, leaving Trump as the only person left campaigning and vastly increasing the odds he will win the remaining delegates needed to secure the magic number to win the first ballot at the convention.

Unless Kasich releases his delegates, they are still bound to vote for him in the convention. For the record, I don't believe any of the dropped out candidates have released their delegates.

National poll isn't necessarily indicative of the electoral college map anyway even if they're accurate.

Bernie looking like a clown.

How he handles the next month will tell a lot about his character and whether he really does give a shit about the future of this country. If he goes kamikaze to satiate his own ego, it will be very disappointing.

and business oriented Republicans as well.
Many establishment Republicans are pro Trade and disagree with Trump's protectionist stances

It will be very interesting to see where Trump goes for his VP candidate. Does he stick with an outsider or someone with experience.

What is Hilary's plan to destroy America?

I guess for some people who's definition of USA is totally warped, then yeah ..maybe bad days ahead for them.

Per Bret Baiar, apparently Ben Carson will be heading his VP selection committee.

.@realDonaldTrump tells the NYTimes that @RealBenCarson will head up his VP selection committee.

No actually. I don't know what's funnier the fact that Ben Carson is in a position of power within a general election campaign for POTUS or the fact that Ben Carson just got friendzoned harder than Finn in The Force Awakens.

I just find her faker than nicki minajs ass. I dont trust a word she says. Shes Obama 2.0 and we need somehing better then that. Unfortunately Trump is the only other choice and I dont like him either
what's wrong with Obama 2.0 outside of his drone program

This will dissipate when Trump is no longer forced to attack his own. Once he starts laying into Hillary he will win them over. If the dems were running anyone other than Hillary this might not happen but there is basically no one that the GoP hate more than Hillary and Trump attacking her relentlessly will excite them.
Trump can't win a general with those voters

This isn't going to happen. And even if it does, it won't matter because the damage of riling up racists and generally classless individuals has already been done.

Ya he's a new york liberal pretending to be a republican. We have seen so many signs of this which is one of the reasons GoP hardliners pushed back so much. I mean some actually think he will deport millions LOL like they actually think he can do this or will even try.

What about the violent behavior he's already inspiring through his rhetoric? I can't imagine that would subside if he were to become president, in fact I would expect it to get worse. You cool with that?

The fact that he has dectupled down on this statement is scary enough.

Charming.

Now provide some actual substance.

Trump constantly contradicts himself. How is he worse?

VP is honestly not a very appealing position. It only has as much power as the president allows, since the only constitutional power a VP has is tiebreaking vote in the senate. There's a reason that it was once considered a political dead end. The only reason you'd want to be VP is if you hope the President dies, or if you think they'll be popular enough that it'll help a future presidential election. Pretty sure that while Carson has been acting in favor of trump for a cabinet position, it wasn't the VP position he wanted

So you don't like Clinton because you think she's "fake" but you seem ok with Trump actively being fake and pretending to be conservative?

Well hopefully this is the implosion of the GOP and they can reset themselves into a more reasonable moderate party.
