Why did you want a game to get low scores?Glad it's good. As much as I secretly wanted it to be like 7/10, I'm glad it's a superb game. I'll pick it up next month.

GOTY for me, I have finished it on Normal and almost on Hard now, one thing does bother me though...when you are stealth and your ally is catching up with you, they sometimes are running about in the open literally meters away from the enemy and they dont get seen, even on Hard mode :-\
Good games come every couple of months.
Legendary threads? A few in a lifetime.
You know the funniest thing about the whole situation? Is there were more people talking about meltdowns in this review thread pre embargo than actual meltdowns. And the only "meltdowns" are people clearly faking it and trolling to try and put a bad name. It's actually been very civilised. You compare it to recent review threads for AAA release and it's actually very peaceful.
There would have been meltdowns if there were enough poor reviews. Everything has been quite positive. You know the funniest thing about the whole situation? To be fair, there's very little to get angry about when the game ends up being the (currently) highest rated game of this generation.![]()
To be honest, I think the stealth AI (whose implementation I like, cause screw having the AI fuck you over) is less problematic in UC4 then TLOU because UC isn't as reliant on stealth.
So for me, who went guns blazing throughout the UC4 campaign, it was hardly an issue.
Yeah, im playing earthbound now and enemies can initiate a battle by running into my teammates which is obnoxious and almost always results in them getting a surprise attack.
Because of the stupidity of review threads. If you don't think something is perfect that's fine, some people can't accept that.
Did you try hard or crushing mode? Do you see ammo reduced in those modes?
Well, I personally don't care for Uncharted and I kinda wanted a crazy review thread, but that was dumb of me, and I apologize.

Plan to play this at some point. Never played A UC game. Should I play the remasters first?
Kenzo, please have one or the other gif, not both![]()
Exactly. I believe while developing Last of Us, ND did play around with the AI partner being visible to enemies at all times (rather than only visible to them once you've been detected) and it was leading to a lot of player frustration as they didn't have direct control over the AI parner's actions.I think it's because of game design choice and I'm glad they do that. It would be frustrated if we got detected when it wasn't our fault
I don't think you understand the issue that people are having with IGN's review score process.
This thread is boring, everyone was hoping for Uc3 like thread and we got this.
Bah
Joking lads
guys AKJP is not serious
and on only one platform.
I do not know what this means, care to enlighten?

It's an immersion breaker that you need to overlook for game design's sake.
The explanation makes some sense, but it's still odd wishing hat something that 300+ people worked so hard to be mildly received (and having bigger impact in sales, bonuses, etc) just for us to have some laughs on the internet.
Only finished it on normal so far.
:/Pretty much this.
Jeff Bakalar, the man who does most of the video game review stuff for CNET is also a regular on Giant Bomb's East Coast podcast, the Beastcast. Vinny Caravella, the man running the podcast and member of the Giant Bomb team would ask Jeff why he doesn't give out scores. Hilarity ensues. Everyone wins except Jeff.

I see you Menitta, u evil jerk lol.Pretty much this.
Ah, so do you think normal mode has reasonable ammo? I thought Madagascar demo had enough ammo for you, not plentiful like previous Uncharted games.
Hey guyz I'd rather spend $60 on a mediocre game because the meltdowns on neogaf are worth it!Good games come every couple of months.

I'm personally enjoying the faux-outrage in this thread that's basically mocking/parodying the uncharted 3 thread, way better than any legit meltdowns would've been imo. Meltdowns are just cringeworthy to me rather than entertaining. This thread is boring, everyone was hoping for Uc3 like thread and we got this.

Yea, ammo is plentiful, usually in the form if different guns though.
Charismatic sociopath Nathan Drake has decided to go home and be a family man. Happily married to Elena following the events of Uncharted 3, our bloodthirsty treasure hunter is dragged back into the world of thievery and plunder due to unshakeable family ties. Nathans got a problem, and the only solution is manslaughter without consequence.
Its easy (and fun) to point out the dissonant nature of the Uncharted series, how almost unsettling it can be to witness such a charming wisecracker mowing down hundreds of people without ever questioning his actions.
You'd be lucky with a 8/10 from EDGE.A 10/10 by Edge would bump it to 95 I think. But then the IGN score would make it go back to 94 I guess.
Oh man, I'm so conflicted as I love me some Uncharted but after not even getting to the mid-way point of RotTR and Quantum Break I am worried the similar genre fatigue will carry over to this even with the understanding that this series is a step above. Combine those thoughts with the impending release of a new DOOM, I may push this to the summer drought of games when I'm craving something new to play and will probably appreciate it's excellence more.
LOL!!! This is just asking to get shot in mp!!!
Don't review threads for exclusive games usually have a higher propensity for meltdowns?
