dont foget jak, but thats the step child of naughty dog. Don't like Jak at all.Fifth game. Crash Bandicoot 3 actually has a metacritic listing and is at 91 with 12 reviews. LOL.

IGN's video review is a mess of spoiled locations. Pretty disappointed I watched it :-\
the bigger take for me here is that this is ND fourth game above 90% on metacritic, that is damn impressive
feels bad. I watched part of Kinda Funny's SpoilerFree review and I stopped halfway realizing I just need to go into this game blind. Theres going to be spoilers of story beats in any review so all that is pointless now that I know the game seems like its living up to series expectation.

I forgot about it for the same reason. But technically it's not "above" 90, it's exactly 90, so my post is perfectly accurate. LOL.
What do we get for guessing right? complimentary GAF Gold?
Obviously 94 meta-score, DUH!
How can you get such assumptions and conclusions from just comparing two pics which are in different conditions: different angle, lighting , zoom level?
95 MC is just a preferred state of mind. 94 is GOTY, 95 is everlasting ecstasy.
So which outlets are left? IGN has to finalize score, anyone else out there?
Ever since videogame reviews started and assigned scores. EmCeeGramr could bring up some choice debates about review scores back in the usenet days. When did we start turning video game reviews into such a serious discourse?
How do you know?
69 reviews with a total of 6528 points.Proof? We dont know the weight of each reviews on Meta...
Makes sense but I think you guys needs to add non-English reviews too... even if it suboptimal you can add a link to the translation.OpenCritic does not include non-English publications at this time. We think the experience of seeing an English snippet and clicking "read more" only to have the language swapped is really suboptimal.

Nope. gamerankings.com =/= metacritic (which is what the post specifically was talking about). It's not above 90 on metacritic so still technically right.
with all the talk about PS NEO naughty dog just gave Sony a huge knot to unravel, if the ps4 can pull them graphics why do we need more many people might be asking lol
IGN will be an 8.8. It will only go lower if the MP launches in a driveclub type state.

busy day at work bruh I could hardly keep up with this thread. and now my coworkers going to go see cap3 tonight are threatening to spoil me so it's gonna be a looooong nightKeep up Artisan.
He called out a guy earlier for being a ''Junior''.
oh I see. but i'm looking at the post and it doesn't look like dude is a junior..?I don't think so. As i see the final score will be between 93-95.
And xxracerxx is referring to how Bernardo tried to discredit another poster by calling him "junior".
No, he's joking.
lol, honestly bro I don't get what you're trying to say here...is this a good thing? like, there are less meltdowns?Compared to the meltdowns within UC3 and TLOU review threads, this thread is as melty as an alloy of adamantium and mithril...

Well for one not everyone is Naughty Dog. The game also runs at 30, albeit an extremely solid one apparently. There's also room to improve.
Around ~30 reviews are left. Edge and IGN aren't everything. Also, provided it doesnt drop to 92, this will be higher than Bloodborne, Witcher, and maybe MGS if it stays at 94.
Edge and IGN are the only two left right? ...And they have significant weighting?

I must admit, having started the game earlier today, I do find myself questioning if I actually even need a PS4K. I mean, Uncharted 4 is pretty much flawless from a presentation standpoint. Perhaps the odd bit of geometry, texture or tree is out of place, but you sort of have to be looking for flaws. IQ is pretty much perfect, with essentially no jaggies in sight, with a pretty clean and crisp overall image. I suppose the only thing I could think of that might be an easy tangible benefit to the game, is 16xAF, but even then it's not an essential requirement.
60 fps?
that is IF the game gets a patch to support that featurePeople will buy it just to run it and Bloodborne at 60 fps. Sony are on cruise control.
console only gamers dont care much about it IMO since around 95% of games on consoles run at 3060 fps?
good point but like me, many people will buy it day 1 lolDid you think that we needed around U2's time a PS3.5 because the game was 30?
ND proved there is a lot left to squeeze out of the hardware, just because most devs can't do that, it doesn't mean PS4K is really needed, they should just improve.
EA are doing this with their engine, no doubt upcoming Frostbite's titles like Mass Effect and Star Wars are going to look incredible on PS4 as well (just like Battlefront does at 60 fps, looking better than most 30 fps titles), no reason why others can't step their game up but it's not the current hardware's fault.
I did...

I think the answer is pretty easy. 60fps and not everyone has the massive financial backing that ND has.with all the talk about PS NEO naughty dog just gave Sony a huge knot to unravel, if the ps4 can pull them graphics why do we need more many people might be asking lol
It could be a mostly business driven move (continue to sell the world's leading console at $400) rather than a technical demand by devs. We don't need a PS4K because UC4 is 30 FPS...but they're doing it anyways so I was simply pointing out that there is always room to improve the game technically. It's not perfect.
PS4K will be an enthusiast machine. The guidelines laid out by Sony exist so people can keep pushing the PS4 forward as well. But what the PS4 is giving obviously isn't perfect, so there is still room for hardware to provide an extra push. Not really making the argument that the system is really needed...Sony's doing it anyways for business reasons, so might as well come to terms with whatever the heck it ends up being.
Seems odd that the weights for sites are a mystery. It's the kind of thing which a large enough sample should reveal with some regression analysis.
I'm sure a journalist, if so inclined, could build a table with a few hundred game's score breakdown by different reviewers and model out which sources weigh more.
I think Kotaku or someone else tried to do it. If I remember, they got close but couldn't nail it down.Seems odd that the weights for sites are a mystery. It's the kind of thing which a large enough sample should reveal with some regression analysis.

It'd be way more accurate if the final MC score weren't averaged (a few decimals would make this infinitely better), but it should be possible.
Can't please everybody, with every decision. Colin from Kinda Funny thought adding in new mechanics was a negative to the game. Specifically he pointed to the rope saying "Drake couldn't do this before, why can he all of a sudden do it now?"
Yea I've sort of had it with Colin. First he says Dark Souls games have terrible controls and then saying its a negative that you can do NEW stuff in a sequel. So he prefers if everything stayed the same instead of adding cool mechanics? I get that Drake couldn't use a rope before but how about we acknowledge its a videogame doing videogame things for gameplay reasons. That's an okay addiction to me if its fun.
Three years is more than enough to learn some serious rope swinging. Colin just has no imagination.
Skipped through it real fast. Seems quite favorable overall.
And holy shit at the footage in this video. Spoilers galore.
Was about to watch it, then realized it'll probably have spoilers so I checked this thread just to be safe. Thanks for the warning, I'll watch it after playing it then. ^^Yea, it's super spoilery. Stay away folks if you want to go in blind.
