I enjoyed Batman v Superman more than Civil War, who is with me?

Are you with me?

Disclaimer: I never really read a comic book, just some bits and pieces recently.

I have been to Civil War first and it was really great, Batman v Superman somehow wasn't on my radar at all, watched it with 0 expectations and shit that movie is hot fire, I pretty much liked everything about it.

I re-watched lots of MCU movies recently so maybe it was just the darker tone for a change, but I fucking love the MCU, all of it.

I thought Man of Steel was mediocre, but yeah I liked Bat Affleck and Superman was also way more interesting this time around, didn't even know about
Wonder Woman and Doomsday, that was a really nice surprise.
Some of those scenes were just breathtaking. When you saw
the Flash
I lost it, I really didn't expect that.

It surprised me more often than Civil War did, that's for sure and not just with who was in the movie, I need to watch both again, but for now BvS comes out on top, not by far or anything, but I just enjoyed it more.

I liked BvS, thought it had a bunch of REALLY good parts but even I cannot sanction your buffoonery.

The Flash sequence impressed you? I see...

*politely leaves thread*

I don't agree with the Op but I am not surprised. I am sure some people also like Green lantern, Catwoman and Dragon ball evolution too.

I mean, ignoring every other metric, Civil War has the benefit of not having Jesse Eisenberg's nails-on-chalkboard acting in it, so it's got it beat right there.

It's weird with Snyder movies, one time I kind of enjoyed Sucker Punch, the other time I absolutely hated it.

Yeah I'm really not all that picky when it comes to acting skills, especially in superhero movies, I watch Flash and Arrow, I have seen some shit.

Not in a million years.

Batman V Superman had some moments, and ended better than it started, but holy shit was it a disjointed mess for quite a while.

I went in expecting the worst and was late to the party, plus I'm not a superhero nut, so that factors in to me enjoying it more than most who saw it early/had terribly high hopes. Just the idea of Bats vs Supes is stupid to me.

I just got home from Civil War, and liked it a lot. It's leagues better.

OP, there's no objective scenario where BVS is on par with CW, much less better than it. The only people who think otherwise also say the world is flat and global warming is a scientific conspiracy.

I haven't seen Civil War (going tomorrow), but it would have to give me cancer for me to enjoy it less than BvS.

But to each their own, I guess.

Maybe it's just because I had way more expectations with Civil War and knew what characters I'm gonna see. It's not by far, I just enjoyed BvS a bit more.

I haven't seen Civil War, but knowing how I feel about the MCU movies I bet I wouldn't like it. So far Deadpool is probably the only one of those that I would say was actually good. And I kinda liked BvS. Stay strong op!

I have seen both and whilst I don't dislike BvS (nor do I really like it that much, I'm kinda' tepid I guess) Civil War is the better film for me.

Are you saying the DC animated movies are good? Cause those are legit horrible.

You're telling me these are terrible??
TV series
The DC animated universe consists of these animated series (and their related films; see below):

Superman: The Animated Series (September 6, 1996 – February 12, 2000 on The WB; later compiled into The New Batman/Superman Adventures)
The New Batman Adventures (September 13, 1997 – January 16, 1999 on The WB)
Batman Beyond (January 10, 1999 – December 18, 2001 on The WB)
Static Shock (September 23, 2000 – May 22, 2004 on The WB)
The Zeta Project (January 27, 2001 – August 17, 2002 on The WB)
Justice League (November 17, 2001 – May 29, 2004 on Cartoon Network)
Teen Titans (July 19, 2003 - January 16, 2006 on Cartoon Network)
Justice League Unlimited (July 31, 2004 – May 13, 2006 on Cartoon Network)

Films
The following animated feature films also are part of the DCAU continuity:

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993; theatrical release)[6][7]
Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero (1998; direct-to-video)
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000; direct-to-video)
Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman (2003; direct-to-video)

Really? All of them? There are like 20, and there are more good ones than bad ones.

The animated The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & Part 2 did a better job of telling the story Synder was trying to ape, and was a better film. I say that with zero hyperbole. I'll take that, Wonder Woman, or Superman vs The Elite over Batman Vs Superman any day of the week plus twice on Friday.

At the very least, Civil War is actually a movie. BvS is just "scenes" put together after eachother in some sort of editing program.

I haven't seen civil war but I loved BvS. It doesn't really matter it's ok to enjoy two movies
From two different companies, it's not a contest.

The batman parts were cool

The rest was wack

Supes and WW are highly lame

Cap Am CW has a typical marvel feel good energy about it and I like the new Peter/Spidey

Nah man, not me. BvS was a mess. Civil War isn't just a better superhero movie, it's a better movie period. If I had seen BvS after Civil War, I'd probably have hated it even more.

No objective scenario? Really?
I figured this thread would head in this direction.

Illness is the doctor to whom we pay most heed; to kindness, to knowledge, we make promise only; pain we obey.
We really need to take a stand and stop comparing these two movies. It's not beneficial for anyone.
