Physical version FTW. I can wait until Tuesday for it. I waited 14 years for Duke Nukem Forever.

Awesome to read all the positive comments. I had thought the game would be in trouble from all the behind the scenes drama during the development. Glad it turned out great!

Yes they do. I know this because I had the discount applied a Libertalia edition earlier this week along with the shipping costs waived. And I didn't have to wait until it shipped to have it changed either.

I'm not. Getting the special edition(that steelbook) for only $4 more than the digital version is worth the wait.

"Nicht genug Geld vorhanden, um den Kauf der Vorbestellung abzuschließen"

"Not enough cash to process pre-order"

Weird, because it´s wrong.

It should charge my CC which is perfectly OK.

Even weirder: I can´t find a transaction in my account and when I go to PSN to pre-order it again I can´t.

Just binged this game through the night (which I never do) because there was a never a single point where I wanted to give the story a break.

I can't say for sure, but it's trying to use credit on your account which you not have. Easiest way now is just buying codes from amazon.

That´s what I think - I just don´t get why. Why isn´t my being CC charged? It worked fine for years.

And why is there no option to buy it on PSN anymore?

Definitely not disagreeing that it's a thing they'll do, but the customer service reps I'm getting are definitely not budging for me, my post earlier that you quoted is what they keep telling me.
 
Cannot decide if I want to go digital or physical for this. Physical means finding room to put it and having to finally remove destiny from the disc drive, digital means paying a premium.

If they say the will apply the discount when it ships I guess it's not big deal. You will know if that is true soon enough. Amazon has great customer service so I'm sure it will work out even if you have to contact them again after it ships.

Good to know! Hard is the way to go when playing the Uncharted series because it keeps you on your toes during firefights rather than opting to take endless potshots while behind cover.

As for the metacritic score..who cares if it's 93, 94 or a 95...lol. I'm just stoked that we're finally able to play this epic game after numerous delays. Naughty Dog is one of the best developers (or the best developer, dare I say) in the business.

I don't think that's a legit negative, it must have made the reviewer sad to see them go. I won't be surprised if I cry when the credits roll.

They meant it in a compliment sort of way, it was so good for them and they liked the characters so much it's a pain to say goodbye.

Yeah typically I have great experiences with their customer service, whoever I've been corresponding with keeps alternating between saying they won't honor it, and thinking that I'm trying to get a price match. Out of curiosity I added a normal copy of the game to my cart and at check out saw the "Prime Savings" that discounted it by about $11, that's definitely not showing up on my existing order. So I guess I'll see how this plays out. I submitted another customer service ticket and tried to be super thorough in explaining the issue, so hopefully I get a different representative.

Yea but the mixed reviews prolly cost them in sales. I just remember TLOU going from "that game sounds cool" to "take my money" after all those 10/10 scores dropped. I just think MS/Remedy thought it would score better imo. These Uncharted reviews took the hype for this game to another level.

Yea of course they thought it would score better, they wouldn't be lifting the embargo 5 days before release if they knew it would end like this, they took a gamble, a gamble we should encourage, it didn't work out unfortunately, too bad as I want almost every game that is at least decent in this genre to succeed.
 
I've started up the pre-load and it's about 12GB or so, when will the remainder of the game download? If I just leave the PS4 running, should the remaining 40GB start downloading or will the rest happen after launch? Thanks

Hey guys. Not sure if this is the right thread to ask - does anyone know of any good deals for a digital purchase for an American account? I wanna start pre-loading, and if there aren't any good deals I'll just go ahead and buy it now to start downloading.
 
Not sure that I like that Naughty Dog is apparently ending the Uncharted games. It's a huge I.P. for them to shelve. I hope that they're just planning on taking a break from the series for a few years and will work on The Last of Us 2 and a few other games before returning to the Uncharted universe.

EDIT: How is everyone getting/playing this game early? Besides the truck in the U.K. being robbed, are others just being put on shelves or just sent to people who paid early?

Oh, I know it's not a real complaint that deducts the overall score. Just feels a bit weird to place it as negative, that's all and I found it a bit humorous so I brought it up.
 
I wish I could pay a few bucks to pre load physical games. So I could just pop my game in and play. I'm so jealous of digital buyers

It's exactly the right move. Having a developer of this caliber work on something new and fresh has incredible potential. Them diverting from Uncharted after 3 is what got us The Last of Us in the first place. I'd love to see them tackle a completely different IP next.

In my dreams ND is working on a Savage Starlight sci-fi adventure game next. Everything they touch turns to gold.

Oh I'd love to see ND working on an open world/space/adventure game. Kind of like No Man's Sky but in third person. Seamless travel from the ground to space and between planets. I guess, basically give them the Star Wars I.P. for a third person action game is what I'm getting at. :)

It should work. I've been buying games as well as DLC's from US store and they all work on my primary non-US account.

Some places started shipping their physical pre-orders on Friday which means some of us got the game Saturday. Game is legit good.

You'll need to buy DLC on the HK account I'm afraid. But they will work on your EU account as long as the HK one has your console set as primary.
