I want XMEN back with Marvel but in a samey way they did with Spiderman

that way Singer stays heavily involved

but Feige too

but I want them to not cameo with each other, to stay different in tone

and I want the present-day original cast to remain, not a reboot

fuck you let me have it

It worked for Sony, who now have a fantastic Spider-man but also Marvel basically making their new Spider-Man movie for them and bringing RDJ (Iron-Man) with them, so it should work out very nicely for them, so who knows what will happen if X-Men flops.

Fox already has like 4 X-Men related movies in different stages of production.

And yes, CW was beyond safe. As awesome as the action scenes were, there was little weight to any of it.

And because the MCU has turned into this gigantic monolith of entertainment, I feel that there is very little reason to take chances anymore.

Does Wolvie put on the classic suit
and B:
Is Deadpool in it for a cameo or even acknowledged since it's in the same universe

Comic book movie Trailers have really been on point as of late, huh?

Batman Vs Superman has horrible trailers and the movie was garbage.
Civil War had great trailers and it was great.
This movie has had horrible trailers and well... there it is.

Really excited for Suicide Squad!

Yall some haters, she was great in Newsroom. Carried the whole goddamn last season damn near. I'll admit I didn't expect her to be a good actress, but she has shown that she can be. Eat the crow man. Just eat it.
 
I don't need or want X-Men back with Marvel at all. It's nice to have a change of pace from the MCU world, and they work perfectly fine on their own telling their own stories without wondering how Xavier and Groot would interact with each other.

I'd only want FF back, and that's only because no one seems to want to do them any justice. I just want them fighting building sized monsters and going on adventures in space or wacky dimensional portals.

bvs had only one bad trailer so not really tbh

but it was funny how well that one trailer encapsulated everything about the movie

I thought BvS had mostly pretty decent trailers except for the Doomsday one

First class was fun and visually a nice change. I think x2 got the Family aspect down a bit better though. And the overall portrayal of the Hellfire Club in name only..meh Dofp becomes boring on repeat viewings. The future scenes, while fun still make me go WHY. I have both theatrical and Rogue cut.

Even x3 had some cool scenes, "oh my stars and garters", Sentinel head also looked better than any dofp t-1000.

I hope no one looses their powers in Apocalypse, 3rd time this franchise has done it?

And why is child Oscar not bue/grey, they already established he was in the dofp stinger.
 
Damn. Poorly reviewed enough to feel bad about Singer releasing a movie at this level, but not bad enough to justify selling the X-Men back the Marvel.
 
They're never selling the rights back to Marvel.

They DO need to get rid of Singer though, he's had 4 shots at telling his story and that's enough for any one director.
 
As much as I enjoyed Civil War (quite a bit; the MCU's only truly great film to date), I've given it absolutely no thought since I've seen it (to be fair, it's the same with all of them). I can't say that about X2, First Class, and certainly not DOFP. Those movies stay with me, even though X2 is starting to show it's age.

If I end up loving this, I think I'll be done with the whole "comic book film discussion/debate" and putting stock in critics reviews on the genre. Everyone seems to have wildly varying ideas on what these films should be, and it almost always aligns itself with fanboy sentiment and petty squabbling.

I was never convinced this would be better than DOFP, but will see if it leaves me with a lasting impression...something I can't say for any MCU film.

No way is x-men going back to marvel after dead pool. The x-men franchise has endured pure shit before and then come back with something stronger from fox. Spider-Man had no potential for Sony, but X-men has so many characters to exploit that it is bankable in the right hands.

Interviews with the CA:CW directors make it clear
they did everything they could to subvert the Marvel third act, including the 5 winter soldiers as red herring to make you think everything would cleanly resolve here, and having it instead turn out that Zemo wins. They were explicitly trying to change up the pattern. And they did.

Of course
infinty war will get the gang back together, eventually. That's how these stories work. But it's clear these two are thinking really hard about how to keep the MCU fresh overtime.

Now, please do more character-focused X-Men films, please. Characters other than Wolverine, Magneto, Mystique, and Professor X, of course. And make 'em look and feel more like the source material. Like you did with Deadpool.

Unfortunately Fox is losing both Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence soon. Deadpool will probably replace the two of them as main characters since it doesn't sound like anyone else can step up (maybe Quicksilver, lol?)

Well this sucks. Had high hopes. Also seems like Lawrence basically showed up for the paycheck while they increased her screen time. Should be fucking backwards, who cares if she's one of the hottest stars in Hollywood.
